  1. so probably gonna get some of those chopped off in appeal

I am pretty sure Funk is blind. He says stuff that he apparently sees on the court that simply do not happen, I think he got away with it on the radio for too long.
  3. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 01:37 PM) That's so risky to me. I love Wilson, but he is not an integral player to this year's success. Meanwhile, if Cutty gets hurt again, god forbid Forte or someone else who is integral, we could be in a huge bind. I would have rather waited to use the designated-to-return (or just not used it at all). agreed. Seems like the bears are all in on his talent, though
  4. Bears are placig Wilson on the "IR-designated to return" list

  6. Brad Biggs predictions on the Bears roster
  7. i like that there are 2 "either or" poll answers
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 10:37 AM) Joan Rivers might be next apparently too much surgery is bad for the heart. who knew
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 10:30 AM) Are they actually going to use Holmes at PR if they don't keep Williams? Holmes returned punts yesterday and looked pretty good. I have a feeling they have Spurlock in that spot until he loses it
  10. Kyyle23 replied to Dick Allen's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It had to start sometime, im glad i dont have to hear him kick the bucket in the booth. Just phase him out
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 09:07 AM) Didn't they recently create a long-term IR spot where the guy can't come back before Week 12 or something? yes, but once you use it, you cannot use it for any other player. So, it is kind of important and you want to make sure it is used correctly, especially given Cutlers health issues
  12. the WR decisions should be interesting. Does Marquess Wilson occupy a 53 man roster spot or is he put on IR? both Morgan and Spurlock didnt play last night, indicating they most likely made the team, and Holmes scored a TD and pretty much sat down. Seems like Chris Williams isnt gonna make it, but if he did that would put the bears at 6 WRs not counting Wilson
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 29, 2014 -> 06:39 AM) Vanderbilt lost 37-7 at home....to Temple. So much for the Derek Mason hype. Vanderbilt also almost lost a timeout per quarter because their jerseys said "anchor down" as the last name, and the coaching staff had to dig up an email that proved the NCAA approved the jerseys. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/e...or-down-jerseys
  14. Lynch has not played that I have seen Edit: Ha, just as I say he isn't in the game, he comes in
  15. Well Jordan Lynch, good luck in all of your future endeavours
  16. Belisario, you are special
  17. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) Danks's pitching stat ranks, of qualified starters: ERA: 88th of 93 FIP: 93rd of 93 xFIP: 92nd of 93 SIERA: 89th of 93 I see no TWTW column
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 03:43 PM) And what would you have thought about Hector Noesi? Lyle Mouton
  19. We are streaking!
  20. QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 01:40 PM) If he pitches well, this probably punches the ticket for Rienzo and Carroll next season. That'd be something, to get that righthanded power arm balance for the rotation without the Sox diving into the deep end of the free agent market. If you'd like to congratulate him, do so here: https://twitter.com/C_Bass419 I think those two punched their tickets out of town regardless of what Bassitt does. Especially Rienzo
  21. I wonder if the punishment is only levied with charges filed and prosecuted. IIRC Roethlisberger was suspended by Goodell, and he wasnt even arrested or charged
  22. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 09:05 AM) Mannelly has been alright. The bottom line is that the Bears moves the meter. Waddle and Jurkovic are both former NFL players that have prominent gigs in local radio. Jarrett Payton also played in the NFL and he has a show too. I bet Mannelly is better than all of those guys. Not that it's that tough to be better than those guys. Waddle and Jurko both had prior experience before they took jobs in money shifts(midday and 1-6)(not sure about Payton but I think he had experience). My only issue is Mannelly basically went from the couch to a primetime slot. Even Mannelly said this morning he has only sat with Spiegel 3 times and had a few other guest appearances. This is like Sportscenter losing Dan Patrick and replacing him with Ray Lewis on the primetime show(not a perfect comparison, but you get the picture). It could work out, sure, but it also could be a very painful learning experience that will result in lost ratings and sponsors/advertisers.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 09:08 AM) Yeah, but you also don't bet on the health of your pitching just cratering as soon as you make the deal. That health was already visibly cratering. Anibel Sanchez was already shelved, Verlander hasnt been good all year long, and they were scrambling for anyone to put in the bullpen.
  24. The fuse is lit
  25. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 27, 2014 -> 07:51 PM) Sounds like a big slap in the face to guys like Holmes and Abbatacola. No wonder Goff left. I don't think Holmes has enough time in the day to pull that off.
