QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 08:04 PM) Other than the whole Knicks thing a couple years ago, and that took me like a week into that season to see the dantoni knicks were busted, I don't know what you're talking about. Lol, ok

Reinsdorf on Score....there's still money in the budget
QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 07:20 PM) In a market where Ervin Santana is worth $100 million, you would think Santiago would have value. Given our holes, I would be shocked if he's back. What Ervin Santana and his agent wants, what he gets, and what he is worth are different things

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 07:43 PM) Hibbert with 7 more blocks and there's still 4 min left in the third. This Pacer d is unlike anything I've seen in quite a while (though their schedule has been weak). Who was that guy that bagged on Hibbert and said he was fat and slow and worthless? I think his name started with a J, but I can't be positive.....

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 06:31 PM) That's the thing- I had no idea that those were going on under her shirt. I don't recall really noticing her before the Thor roles, and I think she really only wore ridiculous looking sweaters or coats in both movies. The dorky brunette is what caught my attention. Then, after I got back from the movie yesterday, I went to her wikipedia entry just to see. And I saw. She has some leaked nsfw photos for those that would be interested in that type of thing. Just sayin

Atlanta Braves to leave Turner Field
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 12:54 PM) It's been pretty much debunked that cities recoup their investment in stadiums. How much is Cobb County picking up?

Atlanta Braves to leave Turner Field
Playing the part of the ignorant devils advocate here, wouldnt a stadium in their county create a positive economic impact down the line? There has to be some sort of money that the team will be giving to the county in taxes that will help their financial woes, right?

Sox to Make Hard Push for Granderson
I honestly dont think anything would disappoint me more than Hahn giving Granderson 60+ million dollars on a +3 year deal. So far this offseason is a homerun with Abreu. If he signs Granderson to a deal like has been speculated by the media, than that homerun will be negated because the runner forgot to touch home plate.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 09:50 AM) You can't have a sport with 100+ teams and a 13 game season where every team has a chance to win a championship, regardless of the system. The only way for every team to have a chance to win the championship is to pare down the top division to 70 teams. I agree with this, but lets be honest. Every year there is a chance for maybe 5-10 teams to win a championship. MAYBE. Giving 70 a shot is a HUGE step up.

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 09:33 AM) I DO get the logistical difficulties for fans and students. But the TV revenue would have to justify that. How much would NBC sports pay to get rights to that? 2 gazillion? I have a feeling it will be quite a large contract. Gamblers will love a playoff format

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 09:25 AM) The problem is that the bowls make so much money for people that you can't just get rid of them or downgrade them. The biggest obstacle is keeping all those bowl execs happy. I dont really see why they have to get rid of OR downgrade them. They need to be incorporated into the playoff(first round tostidos bowl/orange bowl, second round Sugar Bowl/Cotton bowl, Championship game Rose Bowl) , and then everyone that isnt in the playoff maintains the lesser bowls(blahblah.com bowl) like normal

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 09:05 AM) We all know why everyone hated ND there. Same reason we are talking about this now. While the other ranked teams are looking at 2-3 more tough games on their schedule, ND was barely beating Wake Forest at home. This will all get take care of when we can move to an 8 team playoff. Hopefully that is put in to place very quickly after the 4 team playoff. But I have a feeling they will drag their feet

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 08:39 AM) Not sure about an upswing. They've been here before. Lynch is what Big Ben was at Miami. Good enough to win a good bowl game, but not the BCS IMO. I mean the program is gaining a little traction now, a little national hype. Sure they have been here before, but now they are starting to get noticed and remembered. They have been a good program for a while, but the last two years has been different

QUOTE (SexiAlexei @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 08:11 AM) I don't know if I'm "salty" toward NIU. I just really don't need to see them get humiliated in another BCS game. It's great that they're doing so well, but last year kind of proved they are what they are, and they don't belong with the big dogs. That doesn't mean their fans can't enjoy their wins, just don't go overboard with it. By using this rationale, does that mean that Notre Dame should never get a BCS shot again? They got humiliated in the championship game after running the table, so therefore they will never be better than that and can never become better?(and yes, I know they have a history, and they have won Bowl games) Programs evolve. NIU is on the upswing right now, they could turn themselves into something special. Getting a shot at BCS games by playing within the rules set before them always seems to be held against the lesser teams, I dont get that.
