  1. the blind eye was already turned. At this point everyone else is looking at it, so now FSU has to acknowledge it
  2. It will be interesting to see how Fielder does when the oppressive summer heat sets in. That heat has pushed down many good hitters
  3. Man, the Knicks are something else
  4. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 09:54 PM) Infante had a really good year offensively, and is generally pretty solid. Was he so bad on defense that they wanted to get kinsler and not pay him as a FA? Infante only played in 118 games this season, and he isn't getting any younger. I think they would rather have him as a super utility player as opposed to full time starter
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 09:11 PM) Isn't that standard for every Olympic host? Brazil just told them "get out" and brought out the bulldozers
  6. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 03:30 PM) I can't believe I'm going to defend a player from FSU of all places, but I think that rule is crap. It is very easy for a woman to make up a sexual assault claim. That's why we have a justice system, to sort out what is and isn't true. And yes, sometimes the guy is guilty and gets off, but the worst thing you can have happen is have a made up claim ruin a player and his team. Imagine the Duke lacrosse deal, but in a sport that more than five people care about. Now, I'm not saying that if there's overwhelming evidence, that you have to let the guy keep competing until it gets all they way through to the end of the trial, but this kind of policy where you're automatically booted based on charges is dangerous. It can also lead to local law enforcement being very hesitant to press charges when they should be. I think the Bobby Bowden tenure got that rule put in place. Towards the end, that place was a madhouse
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) Unless he somehow gets charged and kicked off the team and then they lose I dont think it changes anything. B+B just mentioned that FSU has a rule that if you get charged with a crime(not even convicted), you are booted from the team. Things could get crazy

  10. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 08:18 AM) What about Jim Thome? What about him? Thome hit homeruns and struck out. He averaged 140 strikeouts a season for the Sox,

    QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 20, 2013 -> 07:23 AM) Well just picked up an Xbox One on Amazon this morning I should have it on Friday by 8pm. I love tracker websites. Same thing worked for me during the xbox 360 launch. I can't read this, Olivia is touching her boobs I'm distracted I have the same problem when Brian posts
  12. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Nov 19, 2013 -> 10:45 PM) Well, we were also discussing strikeouts, and if you compare Ozzie's time to Robin's so far, we have far more strikeouts per season then we used to with Ozzie ball. Even then, the strikeout difference is 200, and that is attributed to one player, Adam Dunn(189). Not the myth that is Ozzie Ball. Ozzie Ball was a really good pitching staff, not an offensive Philosophy/system
  13. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Nov 19, 2013 -> 10:28 PM) Well, compared to other Ozzie years, no. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CH...8-batting.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CH...6-batting.shtml It was the 5th most home runs in the LEAGUE. And you just disproved your own Ozzie ball theory. Ozzie had teams that could hit it out of the park, period. Just because he gave away outs sometimes doesn't mean his teams didn't have power
  14. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Nov 19, 2013 -> 09:57 PM) Not in 05 Really? http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CH...ml?mobile=false 200 isn't a lot?
  15. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Nov 19, 2013 -> 09:38 PM) Have we forgotten the ways of Ozzie Ball? Ozzie ball contained a lot of home runs
  16. wite, did you really do that in J4Ls dream? i dont even know you, Blake Blakeman
  17. QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 19, 2013 -> 04:01 PM) What if the d-back for Carolina doesn't make a clean catch and the ball pops up right into the vicinity of Kuechly and Gronk. My favorite part of it all was Ryan Mallet coming to Brady's aid out of nowhere to help him argue that call. That and audibly hearing Brady yell, "that is f***ing bulls***!" Off topic but Mallet's going to be a stud. Like his fire too. All i am going to say is that if Cutler was the one walking off the field berating the officials like that, there would be a national outrage.

    QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 19, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) How do you not like Sam Rockwell? He's great in everything. +1 I want a sequel to Galaxy Quest just to see him reprise that character

  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 18, 2013 -> 09:55 PM) Uh oh Steph Curry just got broken. What happened to him?
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 19, 2013 -> 10:28 AM) Welp...Pats got me 3 points, I needed 4 (going up against the guy with the Bengals defense). I was 2nd in points on the week, he was 1st and beat me by less then 1 point. I am now 5-6 with 100 more points then anyone else in my league. There is nothing more annoying than being the guy that every team has their highest scoring game against
  24. Cano to the Mets would be sooooo Mets-like. And Cano would probably spend the next 9 out of 10 years on the DL
  25. QUOTE (scs787 @ Nov 18, 2013 -> 10:26 PM) Did you have babies though? I've read a "stat" that 80% of the time there is babies involved. If you trap the female the babies will die and stink up the house. There wasnt babies, so you should look and keep them with the mom. Any way you do it, it is probably a death sentence for the babies. Moving them to the woods right when winter starts isnt gonna be good for them, and a exterminator will euthanize them
