  1. Man, I hope this Brandon Marshall nonsense about his comments yesterday is only reporters running with a non story.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 12:29 PM) I love pushing your buttons. I know you do
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 12:26 PM) I love Bill Watterson, but his dumbass character in the above strip "pursues what makes him happy" and magically creates a family and pays bills after quitting his job and doing stupid s***. LOL, I am pretty sure that dumbass is supposed to be Bill
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 11:51 AM) There probably isn't a successful Division 1 coach who hasn't covered up some things. I'm not an Urban Meyer fan, but really, the thing that would make him unique is never covering things up. I never denied this. Hell, my initial post was about Hernandez and the Rolling Stone story, which has some stuff about Meyer.
  5. Nintendo just announced a price drop for WiiU, the Windwaker bundle which also will include Hyrule Historia for 299.99. They also just announced a 2DS, which will play 3DS and DS games, but will not have the 3D setting.
  6. Anyone see the trailer for Dallas Buyers Club, with Matthew McConaughay, Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto? They are saying this is going to be MM's award winner http://screenrant.com/dallas-buyers-club-m...-poster-images/
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 10:29 AM) Cool, give me an example. That's funny that you dont hate OSU or Meyer now, yet you continue to act like you do. LOL, you just dismiss them as opinions and falsities. I have given examples before, you just cite the writers as haters, just like you are doing to me right now.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 10:24 AM) Your hate is nothing but rational. Tell me again how Urban is responsible for Aaron Hernandez possibly murdering several people while playing for the pats. I dont hate either Meyer or Ohio State. And I never said he was responsible for AH possibly murdering people while playing for the Pats. While we are playing the "Tell me again..." game, Tell me again why these "Urban Meyer covers up shady s***" stories follow Meyer pretty much everywhere he goes?
  9. Rock, sometimes your defense of all things Ohio State and Urban Meyer gets to Penn State truther levels.
  10. Hunter Pence hit the longest home run in the bigs this season, 476 feet. At Coors, but still a huge blast http://deadspin.com/watch-hunter-pence-hit...3-so-1212209908
  11. So a friend told me to watch Mark Gormley on YouTube. So I watched "without you". Now my brain is broken. But I still laughed
  12. http://deadspin.com/angel-dust-and-cover-u...y-sh-1211156111 Looks like rolling stone is about to drop a few bombs, implying Urban Meyer in covering up a lot of AH's misdeeds at UF, and his fathers somewhat shady death
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 27, 2013 -> 04:20 PM) A third Tim Burton movie would have been cool. a lack of Schumacher movies would have been cooler
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 27, 2013 -> 04:30 PM) Who do you all think the Seahawks will face in the Super Bowl this year? Probably beaches in various locations around the world
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 27, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) Ok Bear fans.. Would you like A MR BOOMBOSTIC SHIRT? While... Showing Jon Bostic that we have his back? While... Helping Charles Tillman's Cornerstone Foundation? 100% of profits will be donated in Jonathan Bostic's name to the Charles Tillman Cornerstone 33 Foundation http://teespring.com/mrboombostic We here in Chicago LOVE hard hits, especially from our LINEBACKERS! As you all know we as Bear fans have witnessed a rich tradition at the position that includes Bill George, Dick Butkus, Wilbur Marshall, Otis Wilson, Mike Singletary, Lance Briggs, Brian Urlacher and NOW... Jon Bostic. He is now affectionately known as "MR BOOM BOSTIC" thanks to his hard, legal hits. On August 15th, Mr Bostic laid a clean hit that made Bear fans proud, excited, and relieved about the future of the organization's Linebacking corps. That is, until Jon Bostic was docked 5% of his annual salary. $21,000 to be exact. Bears fans don't want that fine to deter Bostic (or anyone else wearing GSH on their sleeve) from laying the wood in a clean way, playing hard, and using all of their ability on the football field 100% of the time. This campaign will not replace the salary he lost. But let's turn a negative experience into a positive for Mr. BoomBostic and Bear fans alike - and support Charles Tillman's Cornerstone 33 Foundation in the process! It also shows Mr. Bostic and the rest of the country that this city HAS HIS BACK. Help spread the word, get a shirt and let's support a good cause at the same time. ** 100% of profits will be donated** in Jonathan Bostic's name to the Charles Tillman Cornerstone 33 Foundation http://teespring.com/mrboombostic We need to sell at least 57 for Teespring to pring the shirts, but Our goal is to sell 1,000 shirts to raise $21,000 to match the amount of Bostic's fine from the NFL for a LEGAL HIT. Help out a worthy cause and come away with an awesome teeshirt just in time for kickoff! BEAR DOWN! If you havent already, put it on FB and I will share it.
  16. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 27, 2013 -> 02:34 PM) I liked Michael Keaton as Batman. Still a fan of those movies as well. a little dated, but pretty well done. Keaton still seems like an odd choice for Batman, but for some reason it worked. It is all about the tone. Burton has a way of making dark fantasies and stories into something almost whimsical. Keaton fit the mold of his Batman, in both the theme of the movie and the writing and direction of the character. I dont think Keaton, Kilmer or Clooney would have fit into Nolans view of Batman/Bruce Wayne in the way Bale did, and I dont think Bale would have fit into Burton and Schumachers view of Batman/Bruce Wayne the way those three did for Burton/Schumacher. I found this interesting read today, 10 Batman films that almost happened http://batman-news.com/2013/07/04/10-batma...ost-happened/2/ I didnt know Schumacher kept trying to get one more film.
  17. Lobo looks like he should be serving coffee in the french riviera
  18. Steve, you may view them as a bunch of turds, but there are a lot of comic properties that are pretty popular in DC that just have never been attempted or botched horribly. They need to start trying to get them right. When Guardians of the Galaxy is being made by Marvel, DC needs to re-examine their characters in regards to believability and start making some movies. And I totally agree with you about Flash, they need to make that movie. He is a fun character. By the way, has anyone seen the New 52 version of Lobo? Oh. My. God.
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 26, 2013 -> 09:10 PM) How are we still in this Because Astros
  20. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Aug 26, 2013 -> 08:21 PM) I actually like Snyder movies for the most part as well, I don't think the Patriot really was good acting although it was a big budget movie. I think with the way Ben Affleck has been past few years he has been one of the better actors in Hollywood and only past mistakes giving him a bad rep. I don't think Affleck is a bad actor, I think he had a tremendously bad run 12 years ago, and is getting over it now. Whoever replaces Bale and Nolan will have large shoes to fill, that's just the reality of the situation. I hope they get this right, I really do. I just don't know what the f*** DC is doing. Their plans to work towards the Justice League still are just as far away now as they were before the Superman vs Batman announcement. Superman and Batman are the easy ones, they are the cash cows. They still have to introduce, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and re-introduce Green Lantern. Meanwhile, marvel is on their second and third sequels of some characters, and they are planning on bringing in guardians of the galaxy, Inhumans, ant man, and come out with the sequel to Avengers. And that isn't even counting the out-of-house properties like X Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic 4, and X Force. In short, Marvel is royally kicking DCs asses, and DC keeps running out the same two guys.
  21. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Aug 26, 2013 -> 07:47 PM) Before Joker was he really a better actor? His only other movie that got him a lot of praise was Brokeback Mountain and I think that had more to do with the fact it was 2 gay cowboys than acting. The Patriot, Brokeback Mountain, and Monsters Ball were all notches in his belt, Joker was about to propel him into another stratosphere. It is pretty even in the acting department IMO, of course BA has the director championship between them. Nolan really is the big difference, he is very good at making flawed characters and making them pop on the screen. Snyder has the same guys writing the story though, so that is good.
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 26, 2013 -> 05:49 PM) Wite, what the hell is a Jeff Tuel? Something that you use in order to remove all hope of a winning football season before it starts. You can find it at Home Depot in the Snap-on Tool aisle
