I was so ready to circlejerk with you guys about how rose played too. This sucks.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 1, 2014 -> 11:58 PM) At what point in the game did this happen? I recorded it and don't want to see this at all. Beginning of the 4th. Game was stopped after that point.

This is just a fracture. Ware was back at the beginning of the next season. Wouldn't be surprised to see George back this season.

If that is the team we go with next year then rick Hahn must've gone into a comma during the offseason.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 04:25 PM) Mariners in Cleveland. Jackson could pull a Joel Youngblood. I hope he gets there in time. That would be awesome.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 30, 2014 -> 10:13 AM) Phillies have multiple huge contracts. Sox would have 1 and that's with Sale and Q locked up to extremely team friendly deals. Again, assuming they unload Danks, if the Sox add a guy at ~25M that would bring the payroll up to 53M pre arb. Speaking of arbitration, Sox really only have to pick up Nate Jones, who won't be expensive. If JR thinks this team can contend, which he should IMO, you don't think the payroll would be in the 90-100M range? Max/Cueto/Shields wouldn't even put them close to that. No one should be payed 25 million on this team. That's crazy.

Longest game in cubs history in terms of time just ended. John Baker pitched the 16th inning and got the W

I'm thinking about grabbing tickets to the USA exhibition at the united center.

Field turf now completed at Notre Dame stadium.

Trade him.

Please tell me Sandow did something with Lebron James tonight. I didn't watch.

Frank Thomas and Paul Konerko had played in the same amount of career games as of the posting of this.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 07:12 PM) One would imagine the entire Dutch men's national soccer team would have to have been on that plane (going on a tour of SE Asia, for example) to move the bar to "outrage" unfortunately. Btw, has a national carrier ever lost two airliners and 550+ passengers in such a short period of time? It's just weird, when you consider the odds of it happening twice to the same company. Well American Airlines lost two planes on 9-11 and then another in November of that year. About 400 total.

Bulls summer game on espn 3. Doug with two blocks on one end then immediately drains a deep 3 on the other. GOAT.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 14, 2014 -> 12:39 PM) Agreed with everything above. If the Bulls could just magically swap Dunleavy for a guard, I'd feel a lot more comfortable. I don't think anyone wants Rose getting 38 mpg, but when your only backup is Kirk, who is going to miss, at minimum, 20 games, that's a scary proposition. I can't imagine the Bulls' offseason is done yet. They should send like 5 picks with Boozer to Philly to make something happen with Richardson and Wroten. Then this team would be unstoppable. Don't think that trade works. Pretty sure the moves they've made on signing gasol and mirotic are dependent on boozers salary being amnestied. So they couldn't bring back any salary in a boozer trade now.

I still think the bulls are set up better than most teams in the league. Clearly over and over and over we hear they're the best situation you can go to if you want to win. In 2010 that was already decided and there was nothing they could do about it. This year melo choose the money like the majority of people would have done. Chris Bosh just did it yesterday. Cannot blame the front office for this. We'll see if they change their philosophy now and try to get talent through trades since the FA thing is hard.

Jesus. Kyrie Irving is good, but you guys are giving him too much credit. The dude has never shown the ability to be able to carry a team.

This isn't on garpax. How much worse would this be if they gutted the team to offer him the max and he still said no? Melo took the money you can't blame him or the front office. Blame the CBA if you need a scape goat.

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 12:29 PM) Aggrey smith was right all along , he never bought the melo to bulls, too much money lol guess melo was just using the bulls as leverage, tough decision yea right Doubt he used them as leverage. Dude got the max offer over a week ago from the Knicks. I'd believe this if he committed right after his meeting with the Knicks.

Woj reporting it's done. Melo to remain a knick.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 10:35 AM) This morning it sounds to me the opposite, the press seems to think the Knickerbockers confidence is growing and the Bulls are starting to move on. All we've heard is reports from beat reporters who have been shown to know nothing. Until I hear something from Melos camp, the bulls, or the Knicks none of that matters. All three have been eerily silent the past day.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 10:21 AM) Why not? He's been in the league 6 years and seen as many playoffs games as me. LeBron/Irving/Love/Wiggins is a potential dynasty. What team out there can offer that type of winning and that type of winning right away? Obviously Cleveland is what he'd prefer, but he's not going to put all his eggs in the Cleveland basket.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 09:22 AM) So I see the Cavs now have Mike Miller, who had his best shooting season in years and was actually healthy in '14, all but locked up. And now word is the Cavs aren't trading Wiggins and are offering Waiters/Bennent/draft picks for Love. That doesn't sound like nearly enough but if Love says the only team he'll extend with is Cleveland, aren't the wolves pretty f***ed? I don't think love would say that because I'm sure there are more teams he'd extend with.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 02:12 AM) x1000. There is an exception for anything and everything. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 02:20 AM) I'm so glad MLB doesn't have a salary cap. Especially a soft salary cap with a million different exceptions. I mean do NBA GMs even understand it fully?
