QUOTE(frahungski @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) i'm not trying to be negative or anything, but i haven't been able to see too many games this year. the point is, i haven't seen us beat any good pitchers. the only time i can remember us getting more than 2 or 3 runs off of a good pitcher is against maddux in the first cubs series. so... who have we beaten? To answer your question every team we have played except the A's who cares about what pitchers we beat

QUOTE(crash @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 12:38 AM) So if a White Sox player was named an injury replacement and named the starter, you would revolt? And I figured it would be Clement, b/c he is the most rested of all the AL starters. Im biased so no

All this negativity and were the best team in all of baseball

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 12:33 AM) Francona couldn't have an injury replacement player start the ASG. There would be a revolt from every baseball fan in America. I would take part in that revolt.

pudge has no right to be in the final round

QUOTE(VAfan @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 07:20 PM) Since Buehrle and Garland are both starters on the same team, if I was Francona I would hold Garland as my last pitcher and use him only if the game goes extra innings. It is no reflection on Garland's abilities, but it is probably the right thing to do. Pitch Garland no way id keep rodgers and not pitch him he may have cleared the air and gained some respect if he declined being an all star.

He is alive! Real good story. It was worth reading the entire thing. I wonder if bartman has contacted his legal team yet. I really want him to do an interview that would be awesome.

QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) Anybody notice the strange sense of negativity, the need to change and shakeup the roster a little? The talk of Jason Schmidt? The obsession with Eric Chavez? The fantasies of Joe Randa and Roger Clemens? It seemed as if 1/2 wasnt satisified and wanted winning, but more of it (if thats possible), while the other 1/2 was enjoying the run and wanted things to just run thier course. Arguments got heated and the board started a major split, Sox Nation in general had the same thing. We all loved the winning, but we were getting spoiled, both 1/2's found it more interesting to argue the things that could go wrong than argue who we'll be playing in the playoffs, and what matchups we should exploit. Then came Pods. It unified a splitting Sox fanbase behind one giant need to get the catalyst of the new baseball into the All-Star game. It put the entire board in a good mood, even Hawk and DJ got thier props in! How many negative posts have thier been since Pods started reeling in votes? Not many. I think Podsednik did much more than just get into a game that could directly affect what happens to the team. It unified a fanbase behind one simple cause; get this kid to the game, where he belongs. We beat Derek Jeter, the face of baseball. We beat the Yankees, the most dominating sports franchise in History. Us, the White Sox, who many think doesnt even have control of thier own town. So, thanks Podsednik. Thank you Ozzie. Thank you Mark. And Thank you Soxtalk.com, we set aside or idiotic needs to argue with each other and focus on what we have, the best team in f***ing baseball. POST OF THE YEAR

Nationals, I had a really great feeling about this year for the sox when it started so no surprise there. I thought the nationals were going to suck.

QUOTE(hi8is @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) i have a bold prediction: while hemmy is out on the berevement list this kid jenkins will tear it up and will stay with the club as a setup man in the 8th we will then primarly use marte/polete in the 7th, jenks wil close the 8th, and hermenson the 9th.... that leaves cotts/viz/shingto sharing time in the earlier innings awww... pipe dream ummmm tastes good like ice cream ummm, key lime flavor yes, ice cream ummmmm, like key lime flovor yes, ice cream... ummm, key lime flavor yes, ice cream... you get the idea Cotts has been to good to use him in earlier innings
-
I like the idea! But I still think it will be gloads for the taking if we lose Konerko.
-
I see the file is under the future sox banner
-
