  1. Bukvich to save the day.
  2. This is where the game gets out of hand and we get a meaningless run in the 9th.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 05:15 PM) Here comes the obligatory extra run we've been allowing late in the game. Don't you mean runs?
  4. I see our offense showed up once again. Luckily we face a couple of lefties after this. We own lefties, right?
  5. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 12:21 PM) Well you can keep turing your blind eye to all hate crimes that don't involve a white aggresor. But hate is hate no matter what race. The truth is, if this guy was black he may not be dead. I just think that should be reported. Exactly so why perpetuate the hatred?
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 01:00 PM) It was a bad idea and it was not good for baseball. That is your opinion. My opinion is the exact opposite. A lot of MLB teams had players represented in the WBC not just the Sox.
  7. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 10:57 AM) To me it does. That's too bad.
  8. QUOTE(ROC Sox Fan @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 09:48 PM) Where's the Ron Paul love? Is he that reggae/dancehall artist? The music thread is in SLaM.
  9. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 09:34 AM) Am I the only one curious why race is not mentioned here? Does it matter?
  10. Cool. Now we'll lose by 1.
  11. If our captain thinks there is still hope then so should we.
  12. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:01 AM) going again tonight, with yesterday's win im now 8-1 this year when in attendance. We need to chip in and get you full season tickets.
  13. Just over 8 hours before 1st pitch!! God I can't wait.
  14. Wow. Can't remember the last weekend game thread with this few posts.
  15. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 15, 2007 -> 06:54 PM) wow...the sox are a very bad team I was about to type the exact thing....word for word.
  16. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 09:48 PM) Twins rally for 3 off wickman in the 9th, win 3-2. Did we trade one of our bullpen guys to the Braves?
  17. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 02:30 PM) Bush may be wrong, but he certainly doesn't waiver on this issue. So not wavering is more important than him being wrong? I rather have a leader that waivers and is ultimately right.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 02:16 PM) I kid you not when I report that the last two nights on Baseball Tonight, Dusty Baker has talked about how great of a player Neifi Perez is. And hence his role as a talking head on an increasingly lousy baseball show and not on the field managing.
  19. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 04:15 PM) Although most scoffed at the additions of Marquis and Lilly you must admit they are pitching very well in the early going of this season. *clears throat*
  20. Finally! A day where the Sox don't lose a game.
  21. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 12:24 PM) After yesterday, the Sox are no longer just the lowest scoring team in the AL. They've undertaken the Nats to become the lowest-scoring team in all of baseball. Are you going off runs per game? They've been in dead last in total runs for a while.
  22. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 09:55 AM) Because it doesn't matter? The Sox are years away from contending again, so it really doesn't matter where he goes. And anyway he will be a FA at the end of the season and then a Cardinal shortly thereafter. Didn't Cleveland suck last year? They retooled and look great a year later.
  23. QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 03:19 PM) i don't think they will. foolish sox fans, or rich ones, keep going to the cell (30,000+) to spend $7 on a beer and $4 on a hot dog. the organization is taking the fans for a ride this season. they're just going to sit back and count their money. they're pinning their hopes on a top 5 draft pick next season. I would have to disagree. The reason this year will have packed crowds is because the season ticket base is still very high. I expect the number of ST holders to drop quite a bit next season if things continue on this path.
  24. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 02:58 PM) Thank god for Bobby Jenks. He's the only thing worth seeing on the Sox right now. Too bad we never get to use him because we're always losing. I say we use him for all 9 innings of every game going forward.
