  1. I'm curious why McCain thinks that saying this over and over again is a good idea? Our economy hasn't looked this bad in decades.
  2. QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 08:04 AM) I just watched Rescue Me for the first time yesterday. And it took me this long because I f***ing hate Dennis Leary, but that show is great. It is so politically incorrect and Leary somehow doesnt annoy me(its like some sort of christmas miracle). Are they done with that show or are they still making new ones? Same reason I won't watch the show.
  3. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 01:47 PM) If the media would spend as much time on the issues instead of digging up s*** about Sarah Palin just to play "GOTCHA!!!" on every f***ing word she says, we might have a decent election. But no. We have to be stupid about this whole thing. Oh, I know I know, you have to discredit everything because they're all LIARS!!! Please. So's RSO. It's beyond ridiculous. What do you expect to happen when one candidate selects someone who nobody knows diddly squat about?
  4. Straight Talk Express my ass: also...
  5. 1) Went to Iowa and Indiana for canvassing, GOTV, etc. 2) Made thousands of calls for the campaign. 3) Donated a few hundred $ 4) Printed out Obama's "Blueprint for Change" and passed out to friends and family. 5) Display Obama buttons/pins on my work briefcase and take the train to work. 6) Sport a nice looking Obama T-Shirt every now and again. 7) Have an Obama sign in my window at home.
  6. I wonder how much money and airtime the Defenders of Wildlife are putting into this commercial:
  7. Andrew Sullivan today... BOLDED emphasis mine.
  8. Watched most of the forum on "Service" earlier tonight. Both candidates did very well and were refreshing to listen to. It's too bad that starting tomorrow it's back to mudslinging. I'm sure we can expect another 54 days of it too.
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 05:02 PM) I believe that was after they clinched the division in Minnesota, during the celebration. You are correct.

No wonder they've been isolating her from the press. And they were all huffy and puffy about Obama wanting to strategically bomb caves where Bin Laden is thought to be hiding out.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) That is why she was a bad choice. Obama and the Dem will jump all over that. Yeah so what's a 3rd war right? We've got plenty of money and troops to spare. Sheesh.
  12. BigSqwert replied to YASNY's topic in The Filibuster
First McCain with his "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran" song and now this. WTF?!?! If you didn't think the GOP is the party of war mongering then get out of your cave.
  13. Very good article/blog about Mockery in the Public Discourse.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 03:02 PM) FYI, a full term is 4 years. When you're spry.
  15. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) Got my good luck Gavin Floyd avatar up so winning is a foregone conclusion. That's awesome

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) Are we continuing the war in Germany? Is there still battle ensuing on the ground in Germany that I wasn't aware of?
  17. I remember that doofus Walter Jacobson complaining on the news when Paulie circled the bases in Minnesota holding a beer can back in 2000.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 02:17 PM) It took long enough: Palin to meet the press Interviews with numerous people? Like who? Diane Sawyer and Wayne & Garth?
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 12:57 PM) 10. Paul Konerko I will also never forget the great postseason he had in 2005, especially the grand slam (which would be the first in White Sox world series history) in Game 1 of the World Series. Even better was him giving Jerry Reinsdorf the game clinching ball at the World Series rally and how happy I, as well as every other Sox fan I knew that he was re-signed shortly thereafter. Wrong game.
  20. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 12:17 PM) Shoots wolves out of an airplane? I must have missed that one. Is that even legal, for anyone other than FWS or other gov't personnel? LINK
  21. A woman who shoots wolves out of an airplane and doesn't believe in evolution is normal ?
  22. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 12:52 PM) If under the Bush/ McCain Economy you lost your home in MI... you dont get to vote. Sorry. GOP = Voter Suppression DEMS = Voter Turnout
  23. The man was a stud with us.
  24. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 10:32 AM) but... but... but... unless you have small townhall meetings you dont get to meet the people. Amazing how his stances change when it's politically expedient. The only way I see him/them do townhalls is if they hand select the questioners a la GWB. They couldn't dare risk someone actually asking Palin a tough question.
