  1. This pick makes my earlier prediction of an Obama landslide even easier. I can't wait until the 1st debate.
  2. Who in their right mind would feel comfortable with Palin as our leader if something were to happen to old man McCain? What a disastrous choice.
  3. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 09:37 AM) Bob Barr could get a lot of southern voters this year. Bingo!
  4. I don't see this as a winning combination. What will she even talk about in the debates? Caribou?
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 11:21 PM) I would LOVE to see the specifics of that plan. I call bull s*** on that one, I don't even think it's possible to do that in 10 years. That line and his total ignoring of the enviornment both struck me as odd. However, his attempts reach out in his comments about guns, abortion, and saying that "the government has responsiblity, but people have responsiblity too" were smart in my opinion. Besides that, most of the speech was not a surprise. Democratic hotplate stuff that I've heard a lot of times, only it sounded great because of Obama's ability to read and deliver off the prompter. That speech will get him a big bump I think though, because people will buy it. I would love to see ANY specifics from McCain on anything. The "Don't vote for Obama" routine is getting a bit old. How about a reason to "vote for me"?
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 08:14 PM) Is that brunette next to Biden, his daughter? I think so. Definitely a looker.
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 07:52 PM) it worked so well because he was so intense and nervous-looking, then he unleashes this great line and it was just super effective. Shame the networks didn't cover it. The networks are worthless. It's like watching NFL Gameday with 10 different analysts breaking it down.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 07:44 PM) Why are there still seats in the upper deck open? It's a conspiracy. There's only about 400 people there. CGI.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 07:41 PM) I liked all the common people's speeches. They were funny. Barney Smith with a great line.
  10. He's just doing it to score some votes.

Pineapple Express was not bad for $5. A few laugh out loud moments.
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 04:24 PM) PS: Unless I havent said it enough times, I covet that stage. Seriously I want it. Meh. It doesn't touch the stage used for Bob Hope's 1987 Christmas Special.
  13. And a little something for next week in the Twin Cities.... LINK
  14. QUOTE (Reddy @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 09:38 AM) ... that's my point tho. don't brand yourself as a 'new kind of politics' if you're NOT He would have been considered the dumbest politician ever if he decided to take public financing.
  15. The pickup of Harden has made this team the favorite to win it all IMO.
  16. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 11:17 PM) McCain will win by a landslide How do you figure? He's be out raised and out spent. He is also looking inferior in many of the battleground state polls. There's more enthusiasm about women's archery in the Olympics than there is in the McCain campaign.
  17. Back when I worked in the restaurant biz Sirotka and Parque came in a lot and I would always wait on them. Good guys.
  18. I personally think In N' Out is slightly overrated.
  19. I've personally never had one but I know people who love this place. LINK
  20. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:59 AM) Rock Star Obama - he coined it a few posts ago and started short-titling it Am I the only one that thinks it's strange that the GOP is attacking Obama for having too many people liking him? Should he be trying to get as few people to like him as possible?
  21. BTW, if Royce Clayton makes this list I will jump out of a window.
  22. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:44 AM) between dunn, big unit, bigger unit (rauch) and tony clark...this has to be the tallest team ever They could be a traveling basketball team. Maybe play the Globetrotters for charity.
  23. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:38 AM) When you look at what this man wants to do, there's fundamental shifts away from what makes us a better country. There's going to be little in the way of ingenuity or wanting to do things better from a private sector standpoint, if he gets purely what he wants (and they never do, but I am just saying it will be much easier for RSO then anyone else in modern history if he gets the super majority). We might as well all join the government and work for them. Again, you are being melodramatic. After what many historians consider the worst president in history you think Obama would destroy the country? Come on now.
