  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) LOL. Joe's nervous. He was guiding that ball. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> VERY NERVOUS....THANK GOD FOR PK! HE HAS BEEN THE TOUGHEST b**** I HAVE SEEN IN A WSOX UNI IN A LONG TIME!
  3. yeah....goosebumps like i had when walter played
  4. rick sutcliffe is mr yuck yuck....yuck yuck....cant stand this moron!
  5. i just want to say that before we even go at this that this has been a great year. we really showed our balls & the promise of the future and commitment from mgmt. great to hang with all you fellow sox fans here this year and look forward to good things ahead! GO JC & GO WHITESOX!
  6. well looks like bettors are betting on the WhiteSox & the over WhiteSox -110 Bosox Even Over 9 -115
  7. hopefully the crowd is rocking today and everyday until we win the WS! the one thing i cant stand is a crowd that doesn't get involved especially when down. more of us & less of them!
  8. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) Man, it's hard to believe that 7 months ago I was sitting in Tucson watching this team work out and dreaming of this day. I have to admit I thought it was a long shot at the time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> especially watching JC get absolutely bombed by the Mariners in Peoria. Could you imagine telling a NY fan that JC would be favored to beat the BOSOX?
  9. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) I think it's safe to say our game will start on time, the Cards are ABSOLUTELY Murdering the Pads 8-0 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jake Peavy looks like a real goof & I actually thought he was a good pitcher?! MAN I HATE THE PADRES! ha ha ha!
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 08:38 AM) I'm strangely calm for this game. I think I was a lot more nervous for the Indians series two weeks ago. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That calm is confidence in JC & the team. As long as we stay away from errors & walks we should continue on. At least then we will not be pissed if they lose playing well. Not to mention we have yet to really be screwed by the umps in the strike zone. I want to prepare everybody for some bad umping behind the plate. Remember that we are not the darlings in baseball and that the TV will want Boston to move on not us. This seems to be our year. If anyone is going to the games please make sure you don't interfere with play! NO BARTMANS! & if the guy next to you is stupid enough to interfere...tackle his ass!
  11. OMG fat ASSSSSSSSSSSS pitches game 2 for BOSOX? Somebody please fire up the grill! Oh MY aching back! IF the red carpet was ever laid out for us...this is it! I even feel very confident. We have the MLB's ace on the hill tomorrow. I dont even think Bsox will touch him. & then fatlardass to get bombed. oh BTW he will be booed. can't wait for the na na na na hey hey hey you suck!
  12. Series Prices: RED SOX -150 WHITESOX +130 NY -155 Angels +135 STL -350 SD +290 HOU -120 ATL EVEN
  13. I can't wait to watch JC against the BOSOX. GO SOX! My bud told me a long time ago that the team that won the first 40 & 50 games of the year won the WS something like 80% of the time. Just another stupid stat i like to throw out there. Something tells me that the SOX future of playoffs is going to get habitary!
  14. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) Joe has always come off as a class act to me. As much as I dislike the Yanks I have a lot of respect for him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes very interesting how he has become genius with NY but when with the cards he was just an ordinary joe at best...
  15. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 06:28 AM) I'd have to say leaving Duque off the playoff roster is a huge mistake. Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but when he came in to face the Indians last night, he was as SHARP as I've seen him all season. It's like he flipped a switch and said, "playoffs are coming". I think this is simply a case where you go with Duque no matter what. In the playoffs, when batters and pitchers are nervous with anticipiation with every single pitch, experience like Duque's is huge. Regardless of how good someone like McCarthy is pitching right now, if I was a major league hitter, I'd rather face him than see El Duque, the king of the post season, stalking that mound...it would simply make the nervousness factor go up 10fold because of his reputation. -y2 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> not to mention that if we need a guy to go after the 10th inning in any game I always like throwing a starter in there and say it is your game to lose...
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 07:48 AM) Darrin Jackson OF SEASON TEAM G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG 1994 Chicago White Sox 104 369 43 115 17 3 10 51 168 27 56 7 1 .362 .455 .312 1999 Chicago White Sox 73 149 22 41 9 1 4 16 64 3 20 4 1 .288 .430 .275 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i get your point but that to me is no loyalty. a journeyman at best. look i had lunch with that cat in SD a long time ago. he is a great guy. but to me he didn't say jack about the sox back then so that has always burned me about him. i told him i was a diehard soxfan and he hardly cared. of course at that time he was a padre. but that still doesn't help me with his BORING monotone color? sorry to say that i wouldn't miss him a bit if he were to be replaced.
  17. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 07:48 AM) Sorry, but the Tribune sucks. They have a couple of good sports writers, but the Sun-Times blows them away, even if you don't like Mariotti. Try and have a little perspective here guys. BTW Wrigley Field's scoreboard said last night: "CONGRATULATIONS CHICAGO WHITE SOX: 2005 CENTRAL DIVISION CHAMPIONS". Classy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hopefully you took a couple of pics of that???
  18. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 06:50 AM) Funny how most people pick plays on offense. I thought Uribe's play at short the other night against the tribe was HUGE. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> this is definitely the play of the year! was thinking right along with you on this one. followed up by Arow blasting that HR against Hoffman of SD mainly because I was sitting at that game and had been telling the whole crowd that the game was now over and that Arow was going to end it....& i'll be damned if he didn't. & the dodger game with AJ. to me though this entire season has been exhausting & yes the season is way tooooo lonnnnnngggg. but anyway the thing that impressed me the most this year was the AWESOME defense & no rolling of my eyes going WTF with those stupid ass lead off or late inning walks...or should i say walks all together. the worst part of the season has to be DJ. he is so monotone & flat out boring not to mention he has no previous history as a whitesox guy. thanks to soxtalk.com for cleaning up our own little b****y selfs and enforcing some rules like KW has done now as the Chisox GM! more of us and less of them =
  19. ok something is very strange here...why is it that the whitesox clinched the division because they have the better head-head record versus clev, but if ny & bos finish tied at the end of the year they must play a one game playoff even though ny has the better head-head during the season? WTF is going on here?
