QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 06:29 PM) Last night was one of my favorite Always Sunny episodes ever. I'm sticking with it, but i don't know why. The first two episodes have been them re-hashing old ideas (but it's funny because they reference it so much!!), which means they're clearly out of ideas. The League, however, pulled no punches and was hilarious. "Yes, I can believe she just had a baby. Because I put it there. With my penis." Masturbating giant Andre penis was hilarious. Also, Taco picking everything up off the waiver wire.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 06:30 PM) lol, are you serious? How did you not know that... Yes, prepare for a lot more throws to Devin Hester and Kellen Davis I heard he may have hurt his hand, but never that it was broken. Then again, I went on sports radio silence the past week or so for my sanity.

QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 10:41 AM) unfair comparison. the $15 colts tickets is in the worst part of the stadium, while the sox outfield seats have virtually no obstructions. An upper reserve ticket for a sox game in 2008(the last year the colts were in the hoosier dome) was $17. oh, and how many of those $15 tickets were there really? for a team with peyton manning that was a perennial playoff team(and recent SB champ) Still, you're talking about a team that has 8 home games, not 81.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 18, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) Because they played like s*** for 95% of the year, and then snuck in to the playoffs when the Sox choked it all away. They didn't deserve to make the playoffs. Obviously they've kicked ass since making it, but I mean they didn't even deserve to make the playoffs. They made the playoffs, they deserved to make the playoffs. There's no other way really to quantify it than "they deserved it".
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 18, 2012 -> 05:02 PM) My god, Detroit is on point right now. I'm legitimately worried they are going to win this whole thing. It's a shame, they aren't deserving at all. Why are they not deserving, exactly?

F*ck you, runner's leg.

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 09:56 AM) The Cards could be 5-2 after this weekend. If the Rams win on sunday, every team in the NFC West will have a winning record. Don't kid yourself, those teams suck, and, honestly, so do the Seahawks.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 08:39 AM) Ha, Chris Webber talking about other peoples being unable to overcome adversity and mental hurdles is a laugh. Call a timeout Chris Dayom, Webber burn! That episode re-airs tonight for anyone who is interested. It's worth a watch.

Open Court on NBA TV is like my favorite thing to watch these days. All the TNT/NBATV commentators get together and discuss pretty much everything historically and currently. Last night they touched on the backcourt and spent 15 minutes talking about Derrick Rose's "return" more bluntly than any dogs*** Chicago media would do. Interesting fact, I was unaware Steve Kerr tore his ACL in college. Kenny Smith made a crack that he was back dunking in "no time". They all say, with today's technology, that physically Derrick Rose should come back and be able to be Derrick Rose, but the biggest hurdle will be mentally. They then showed the injury 15 times, and I nearly got the razors out to end it all. Ha. The panel then discussed how the play Rose tore his ACL on is (obviously) a move he makes 20-30 times per game - it's that weird hiccup step that totally throws all defenders off his path. To be the SAME player, Rose has to pass the mental hurdle. Chris Webber, fwiw, doesn't think Rose will ever be able to pass that hurdle. Diesel thinks D-Rose will be back to normal in 2013/14. The entire panel agreed that Rose should sit out this entire season. They also said that, if all goes well, Rose might be forced to become more of a facilitator of the offense during this period while he gains his confidence back, and come out on the other side an even more remarkable player. I remember rookie Derrick Rose, whom everyone said needed more killer instinct, and I disagree with the above statement. He did not want to become the primary scorer but did so out of necessity due to lack of help on the offensive end. Yeah, that issue will still exist until the Bulls do something to address the supreme lack of scoring options on the roster.

In typical KW fashion, will his big offseason move be A-Rod?
Steve9347 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Here's the issue that no one seems to be covering. Ok, so you get the Yanks to pick up all but say $5 million per for the next 5 seasons. A-Rod will get $6M each for his 660th, 714th, 755th, 762nd, and 763rd career homers. He’s at 647 dongs right now. So if he hits just 13 whopping homers in 2013, and the Yankees cover all but $5 million of his contract, he becomes an $11 million player. At his current pace, he likely doesn't sniff any of those other milestones, but that is an extra thing to think about when it comes to the White Sox. -
