GT: 4/16/12 Orioles @ Sox 7:10, The U

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) Of the last 61 batters Stewart has faced, 28 have reached base. He's not a big league pitcher. Also, our 4th best bullpen option is our closer right now. That's annoying. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 09:22 PM) Same with Reed and Crain...interchangeable parts. I'd just love to see Reed the closer, because the kid clearly has the makeup and it's damn-well where he should end up anyway. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 12:34 PM) I wish Blunderbuss would leak already. LEAK ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really get the point of booing Adam Dunn so early in the season. Yes, he hasn't been killing the ball, but his approach has been better. I'd put his chances of coming out of this a lot better if he weren't getting booed at the f***ing 4th home game of the year when he entered the game with a .757 OPS. This crowd tonight is a bunch of clowns. -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) Here we go again... Nick Friedell@ESPNChiBulls Thibs: Deng is "most likely out" tonight. He didn't go through shootaround. Still sore after getting popped in the ribs last night. Rose is a game time decision. He went through shootaround but has a new foot injury that is being checked out by team doctors as we speak Thibs says Rose injured the foot last night. Derrick was limping through the hallways @unitedcenter. Looks like he may be out as well. Jesus f***. Just retire already!

They are both making idiots of themselves with their new team two weeks in... who ya got?

It's interesting. One one hand you have the fact that people are finally willing to admit that Ozzie was hurting the White Sox as myself and Milkman pointed out forever ago, and on the other hand you have someone with zero experience staying out of the way, and the Sox being better simply because of that. I love Robin. I'm not seeing anything managerially that makes me think he's a difference maker. He is, however, better than Ozzie. That alone is worth applause.

I really wish the Hawks had a game tonight. I have a feeling we're going to see the first convincing win (jump out to lead, no need for last second heroics) of the series for the Hawks. They can and should take games 3 and 4, especially now that they are in Smith's head. That would effectively end the series. Go Hawks!

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) I got what I could. It is very flattering though when a girl you just met tells you that you have a "nice dick." Especially a chick like that, because you know she's seen a lot of them. Drunk, I'm surprised you were able to not suggest the bareback approach. Smart, but not the easiest decision to make.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 12:42 PM) Thirdly, Morel honestly looks a lot better than Beckham right now. You sir, have not been watching the same Brent Morel that I have. As bad as Beckham has looked, Morel takes the cake in offensive inefficiency. He has 11 strikeouts in 30 at bats. That makes Adam Dunn look like Albert Pujols. Brent Morel has achieved a rocking .115 batting average with 1 extra base hit to the tune of a .332 OPS. Nothing about his decent finish to 2011 against AAA pitching can convince me that this guy will be a quality major league player. Believe it or not, those numbers are worse than Beckham's disgusting start.

Everytime we play the Orioles, someone brings up Gavin Floyd trades to the Orioles because apparently the only thing that matters to teams is that a player is from their backyard, even though that's not relevant 99.9% of the time. SO I will say it right now - Floyd won't wind up on the Orioles just because he's in Baltimore. Also, watch out for Matt Wieters. He seems to finally have figured it out. -

I know it's early, but I firmly believe Brent Morel sucks before the season started. Brent Morel hitting 2nd is a joke. -
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 11:43 AM) I've had this same feeling for a couple years now. I respect the Red Wings and their organization, I just despise their fans. The Canucks? I despise everything about them. I echo these thoughts. Canuck fans are also way worse than Red Wing fans.

I have finally given up on Gordon Beckham ever remembering how to hit.

That was a phenomenal episode of Mad Men.

The thundershirt works. My mother and sister use it on their dogs and it's changed them big time.

That game last night was amazing. I, sadly, see Shaw getting a game or two. I don't care, though, as he did what the Hawks needed to do!

So Adam Dunn is now 4/22 on the season. He's settling into familiar territory with a .181 average. -

The Sox have randomly gotten good at pulling closers out of their ass after the debacle that was the start of 2011. THIS BALL GAME IS OVAH
