  1. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 04:04 PM) Love these styles! mmmmmm booze QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 04:06 PM) Nice sig. thanks!
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:59 PM) I've got two King Cobras and a big can of Pringles. I'm ready. Yeah, I've got a fridge stocked with 312. Let's f***ing do this.
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:09 PM) Last time I was at Bull & Bear Antoine Walker was there and it was slightly more crowded than I enjoy. A bar close by would be English which has 3 floors and therefore you can somewhat camp out on one of the floors. Are you mainly looking at River North (I ask because I only suggested English as its a block from Bull & Bear). (edit) And absolutely do not go to VIPs. Just get super drunk and go to the Admiral, drinking in a strip club does not offset pasties. English is definitely solid and there's normally a decent amount of tail.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) 50% chance of rain at gametime, declining as the night goes on. Ooooo, late night baseball? In.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:53 PM) Basically players with minimal to no talent catches Hawk's fancy. Just like our manager. You can bring Juan Pierre into any thread... it's impressive.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 02:58 PM) to that I fully admit to. I grew up on Mario and Zelda, hard to break it I grew up with the same games. There are some fun games on the Wii, no doubt, but I'm very much a controller in hand type. Hence why I have zero interest to pick up the Move. I also care way too much about graphics.

  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) No, we mean when he offers to go to the bullpen. AKA this thread. Where people went ballistic. Peavy offering to go to the bullpen is great, but all it does is remind the planet how much of a disappointment it is that a man with his salary has to go to the bullpen.
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) The guy has had what, 4 or 5 injuries now in the past three seasons? It's time to look at this objectively. He's Rich Harden.
  10. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN Please let there be a game.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 02:21 PM) whoa, there is no feverish here. I said I was excited about it, but thats about it. I see people killing this system a year before it even hits the shelves, and it seems like people like Quinarvy are almost threatened that this system is coming and cant step over themselves fast enough to tell everyone it sucks. It very well might suck, I can accept that. Nintendo has massively disappointed me in the past, they let gravy train pass them by at the end of N64 all the way through the gamecube, and struck gold with the Wii with the casual gamer and motion controls. Now they want to appeal to the bigger market, and that is something I would love to see. There are so many things that are supposed to go into this system, I want to see what they have before I decide that I want it. But there has been no feverish about it, I have spent considerably less time defending it than cw42 and Quinarvy have done ripping it. I barely hype anything Nintendo on this board, every once in a while I will talk about a game I get that i enjoy, like Lost in Shadow and De Blob2, but nobody here cares so there isnt much of a discussion. I think you took more offense to that than intended. I look forward to reviews of other products, you are just the resident Nintendnerd.
  12. Man, are the Sox going to get rained out AGAIN?! Ugh, I actually miss the Metrodome.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 11:46 AM) The Core has spoken. The WiiU has failed. lol It's almost comical what to expect in this thread sometimes. Anything Nintendo will be feverishly hyped and backed by Kyle, and the rest will pretty much immediately denounce it. I, personally, don't care about the new Nintendo, as they haven't launched a system since the 64 with which I've been pleased. The PS3, save all the fun network issues lately, has been the most surprisingly updated and useful piece of video gaming technology I've ever used, so I'll probably stick with Sony.
  14. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 01:57 PM) Area isn't a big deal, like I said earlier I know pretty much every bar, club and restaurant in the city. Just looking for anyone that has experience with certain bars with a group of people that large to accommodate with drink package, service, etc. I was thinking Bull & Bear (renting out 2 of the table taps so that more ppl can fit) and thought that might be cool for a large group in their back area. Bull & Bear actually gets really crowded really quickly. It's more narrow than it looks.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:51 PM) Dick's last resort is sort of a fun dinner spot for big groups.... Ugh, f*** that place.
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:35 PM) I would do that and then if the weather is going to be nice, try to rent out a patio at a bar up north like Cody's or even something more on the main drag. I say Cody's because they have outdoor darts and bags. This this this this. And see? That's why I can't just ignore ALL your posts.
  17. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:42 PM) This is the thing that drives me crazy about Jake Peavy. He is never healthy and, thus, causes all of this discussion to become necessary. This. Honestly, the team would probably be better focused if he'd just go away.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) Lets go Bruins. Vancouver will riot if they lose. Again.
  19. here, everyone.
  20. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 09:47 AM) Edwin Jackson vs Daniel Hudson, Friday. I would hope J4L has scout seats for this one. The world will explode.
  21. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:56 AM) Oh, that's cute. To think I used to giggle at the idea of Rich Harden. Peavy costs even more.
  22. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 08:48 AM) My buddy is getting married soon and I am Mr Know it All of downtown dining, bars and clubs but am trying to find the best spot for around 40 guys to go out one night. This is a pretty large group and we want to find a good spot to have a party. Anyone have any good experiences going downtown with a group this large? Can't say I ever have other than a baseball game or something but obviously this is different. Thanks! Start with a Patio Party at a Sox game. For my bachelor party, starting with the Sox game was great, then the insanity began.

    QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 11:35 PM) Do you guys know how much of the book series they covered in the show? Are there plans for a second season? I haven't read the books, but I believe this season is only covering the first book of the series.
