QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 11:48 AM) Let's put it this way: Hakeem >> Russell Yet Hakeem is never mentioned as one of the all-time great centers. It's always Wilt, Kareem and Russell. Then there's the next tier. Hakeem and Shaq would make a dirty diaper outta Bill Russell. It wouldn't even be funny. It would be like when Jeff Hornacek would check Jordan. You said Ben f***ing Wallace, not Hakeem. Now you see why you come off as a troll sometimes.

Dwight Howard told NBA.com that he will definitely become a free agent rather than sign an extension with Orlando. Howard expressed his desire to stay in Orlando, but stressed the importance that he wants to see the team win a championship before putting pen to paper and signing an extension to remain with the team. That means he'll opt out of the final year of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent after next season. Similar to the LeBron James in Cleveland situation, the pressure is now on the Magic to deliver Howard the players he needs.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 11:22 AM) And that to me is what makes him overrated. The 11 rings. How many hall of famers did he play with? I'm not trying to minimize his importance and impact (sounds like it, though). But there were like 10 teams in the league back then and the talent overall just wasn't that great to begin with. It doesn't matter. You make yourself come off completely silly and as if you are only here for arguments and to play devil's advocate when you reach to such insane ends that you say Bill Russell = Ben Wallace. Come on man, Wallace had no actual skills, just grab boards and block. Russell played in a much different era, of course, but he was the f***ing man of that f***ing era.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 07:44 AM) Let's face it: LeBron is a f***ing idiot. No denying that. But the entire planet has been trashing, insulting, etc, him all season long. Well, they've been doing that because he's been King Douche all season long, starting with the absolute worst way to announce his move to Miami. Had he just called a press conference and signed with Miami, the backlash wouldn't be bad at all. To do it on national television, to say "South Beach" instead of the Miami Heat, to publically s*** all over your former team was just a bad start. It's not just his fault that they had that pre-season celebration, or the post-boston celebration, or that they (he and wade) acted like dicks most of the season, but he's a big part of that. You came to Miami to win 7 straight? Well, you're 0-1 and the entire league is coming for you.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 12:43 AM) Dirk > Bird And I think Bill Russell is a little overrated. I agree the rest are above Dirk (Kobe and Oscar barely). Holy cow, you are clueless.
-
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 12:40 AM) Wow, I just realized how silly this is. 10 better than Dirk off the top of my head: Yeah, I abhor instant over-reaction. Much like Scottie Pippen's comments about LeBron.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 11:16 PM) "Doesn't matter cause at the end of the day, those people are still going to wake up tomorrow with their problems. I'm going to wake up great tomorrow" - LeBron James. Soooo he tries to s*** on his critics and fails badly. This quote pretty much confirms everything his critics say about him. Drop dead, LeBron.

I made a wallpaper.

That POS LeBron untucks his jersey wwith a minute left and congratulates no one. BEAT THE HEAT DIRK GONNA DIRK WE DID IT.

What the hell? That was not a foul.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 11:17 AM) What is wrong with Ozzie? Why must he be enamored with a player every year that is completely ineffective? How is this acceptable to KW & JR? Ozzie's a stubborn motherf***er.

Has anyone seen Super 8 yet? I was planning on seeing it in IMAX tonight, but I'd like to hear some reviews.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 08:01 PM) Exactly, Lebron isnt a bad person, hes just a douche on the court. Which is exactly why people hate that arrogant tool.
-
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 04:42 PM) Which goes back to my original point in this thread, that when Lebron went to Miami he never was going to be the greatest of all time. Somehow, in an article with this quote, you have managed to spin things to make it look like you were right all along. I am not falling for it. Great article, as usual, by Simmons. I love the site design that allows for such perfect placement of the footnotes.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) I've read a couple of Duke Nukem reviews. All indications towards being bad and outdated. I'm not surprised. Yeah, clearly that "leak" was bulls***.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 12:12 PM) Steve, No one has yet to even respond to my argument, that Dallas won because of Dallas, not because of Lebron. Simply put, the haters want to blame Lebron for a game that was lost. Some times you lose because the other side wins. I just think when you anoint yourself THE KING, when you make a deal with ESPN to announce you "Decision" in free agency (while other players like Kevin Durant just f***ing sign), when you make yourself out to be all that and a bag of potato chips... it's on your ass to WIN games. Dallas won last night. LeBron did not do what was needed to win. He's still got 2 games left, but LeBron makes it about LeBron.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 05:37 PM) If I weren't married, we could just put bowties on our cats all day and pray for rainbows.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 05:19 PM) What happens if Pierre continues costing games and sometime in July he's replaced by a Cuban Monster who puts up a .950 OPS and propels the team to the Central? Who wins then? Cuban Monsters putting up .870 OPS's in AAA don't often put up .950 OPS's in the Majors. Just sayin', I'd still love to see him up here, and if he did put up a .950 I'd have to call a doctor because my erection would last more than four hours. He'd then ask what I took, and I'd say, "I took Cuban Tank". He'd probably hang up.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 11:29 AM) The only thing I don't understand is why you refuse to use the quote feature on this board. It's like refusing to use an umbrella in a rainstorm just to be different, or eating cereal with your hands. Tools exist, use them!

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 11:05 AM) Wade only played 6 less minutes than his average. Wade was -13 compared to Lebrons -11. Meaning that in less time, Wade on the floor hurt Miami more than Lebron did. Are you sure you watched the game last night? Your argument is awful.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 10:35 AM) May 23 Indians were 30-15 June 10 Indians are 34-26 How surprising.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 10:29 AM) I know plenty of dogs the same way too though. A friend of mine has a dog that will want her seat on the couch so the dog will go to the door and bark as if someone is there so my friend will get up and check, and when she goes back to the couch the dog will be in her seat. Both dogs and cats can be very clever, and both can be dumb as hell. like hoomunz

Cats are seriously problem solvers. They can figure s*** out. Yes, dogs can be trained to do something, but cats are clever. They are on the next level. They f*** wiht you. I love it.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 08:30 AM) So I misspelled "must" as "msut" in a pretty long email to someone in a different department that's working on a project with me. This was her reply to a lenghty email: Felt like a cheapshot a bit, especially considering there is a grammer mistake in her email. Oh well, I got a good laugh out of it, and she was correct in that I needed to turn that auto spell check on. I would have totally just replied and bolded "my".
