QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 06:33 PM) Yeah, so X: First Class was an excellent movie. Totally worth seeing. Probably the best X Men series movie, the only competition it has is X2, and I think I enjoyed this one more. I just got back from it and I cannot recommend this film enough. Wow! It might be my 2nd favorite comic book movie of all-time behind "The Dark Knight". What a fantastic reboot of a previously disappointing version of one of my favorite comics. I don't even know how to put it into words. It was incredibly well acted, moody, beautiful, funny when needed, and I loved Seriously, I've got nothing more to say. I f***ing loved this movie (and so did my wife).

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) Yes. You sign up for it, then it uploads all your songs to a cloud, which you can access with a phone/laptop/tablet. Man, I requested my beta forever ago and still nothing.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 06:10 PM) Evo has started to get their gingerbread rollouts today. Updated Icons and text messages coming out of order has been fixed apparently. BTW, if anyone is looking for a Zune like mediaplayer for their EVO or Android device, Fede's Music App is it. By far the best music app for Android phones. Litearlly looks like a Zune interface and scrolling is fantastic. It's still in it's Alpha stages, but I haven't noticed anything crash yet. installed... now to figure out what it does.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 12:09 PM) Call me sad, I but i have zero interest in watching the Heat win it all. I'll be watching the Sox, and whatever is in my DVR instead. Basketball will start for me again when free agency opens. Hi, sad.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) So to make a long story short here's what happened to me last summer: had my wallet stolen at a bar by a girl who proceeded to run out before we could confront her. Her friend didn't immediately leave and my buddy knew who it was. Nothing ever happened I cancelled everything right away, but I lost 50 or so bucks and had to go through the hassle of getting new cards, new ID all of that. Now, just got a call today that all my cards were found in an apartment of two tennants who were just kicked out. One of the names was the girl who was the friend who was there that night. So is it even worth it for me to press charges? And is there anything I can even do? It was a really s***ty situation and was a major inconvenience and there's a lot of me that would love to get back at them. At the same time, i'm not really going to gain anything so I don't know if I should just go get my stuff and move on and forget it. You're out $50. This girl and her friend felt it worthwhile to steal your wallet and have been kicked out of their apartment and clearly have a very s***ty life. Move on, be happy you aren't in their situation, and don't waste any more of your time on those broads.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 11:13 AM) Student Loan debt is 850B and growing. It actually exceeds credit card debt in this country. And from 10 years ago, the average student loan debt in this country has increased by ~54%. Pretty insane given how much more we are actually spending as a country. It is actually quite mindboggling to me that debt has increased that much and tuition costs have increased as much as they have as well (and that isn't a coincidence, imo), all in a short 10 year span. Makes you wonder what the f*** we spend our money on, given gov spending has done nothing but go through the roof. Strippers and blow for everyone!

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 10:03 AM) You did forget about Jonathan Sanchez. I believe he was a 25th round pick. Whether that was good scouting or just plain luck is unknown. Otherwise, good post. Sanchez? Really? He gets a lot of strike outs, but he still walks way too many guys and is 28. I imagine had the Sox ever gotten him like they wanted he'd be a mess in the American League.

QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 10:48 AM) I feel like if its Joe Oliver starting for the Tigres we have a pretty good shot. I feel like if it's a pitcher I've never heard of and the Sox have never seen, the first 6 innings will be a breeze because our hitting coach doesn't properly prepare our players.

It's time to start winning some games at home. The weather has warmed up, and there's no excuse not to have a home field advantage!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 09:19 AM) For being an awful GM, that franchise keeps producing a ridiculous amount of young talent. I'd chalk that up to good scouting and draft positioning from sucking. Sabean is still the guy who doled out big contracts to the wrong players. They drafted well for a run, and got hot at the right time after winning a putrid division. It happens.

I propose a national debt forgiveness day for completely greedy reasons as to get out from under this upside down mortgage. Note to past Steve, buying that house in 2007 was a bad idea. Value go bye-bye.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 09:22 AM) I'm glad someone else said this... Where is all of the outrage for the people committing crimes? Weird. No! They are doing the public a service by letting them know that Sony has bad security. What if someone hacks them!??! Oh wait.

QUOTE (That funky motion @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 10:46 PM) Yes he was a star but not one of the biggest. Baseball people knew how good he was. He was not even on most peoples top 10. Thank you for pulling this comment out of your ass, it is, however, incorrect. Frank was everywhere. -
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 06:58 AM) Adam Dunn is currently at .180/.329/.326/.654. That is an OBP higher than a slugging percentage. That is a damn near statistical anomaly in itself. He has played in 50 games, which is just less than 1/3 of a full major league season. All hope is lost for him doing anything for the next 2/3. Though, of course, it's not. With a player who has the "consistency" of Adam Dunn (only month in his career with an OPS below .872 is September/October, when he's at .771, but I blame that mostly on him having no motivation considering he's played on a losing team for so long), he has slumped like this before. Dating back to his first full year in the league... 2002 - Aug 2 to Sept 29 - 54 G, 49 GS - .171/.302/.283/.585 2003 - Jul 9 to Aug 15 - 33 G, 32 GS - .214/.350/.321/.672 2004 - Aug 17 to Sept 24 - 35 G, 34 GS - .198/.336/.421/.757 2006 - Aug 2 to Oct 1 - 55 G, 54 GS - .174/.308/.332/.639 2009 - Aug 24 to Oct 4 - 36 G, 35 GS - .198/.318/.341/.659 There was also a stretch, in either 2007 or 2008, where he put up a line of something like .200/.350/.450 over a 50-60 game stretch where he hit 15 homers, but I figured people would get on my case because he ran into 10 more balls instead of missing them. His BABIP was still garbage. Yeah, nitpick if you want to - HE'S ONLY DONE THIS ONCE IN THE LAST 5 YEARS AND 3 OF THOSE ARE FEWER THAN 40 GAMES - they are still month long sustained slumps and, believe it or not, Adam Dunn worked his way out of those. Not gonna do anything without some sabermetric help either. Adam Dunn, throughout his career, has a career BABIP of .295 and a HR/FB of 21.9%. Considering he's put those up over a period of almost 6300 PAs, I'd say those are sustainable rates. Currently, he's at .265 and 9.6%. The BABIP may not come up - there's history to indicate that he can stay below that - but that HR/FB is going to come up. So he [probably] won't hit 40 homers. No biggie. The worst OPS he put up, other than that crappy 2003 (where he ended up with an .819 OPS, shoot me in the face that's so bad) were .854 in 2002 and .855 in 2006. Otherwise, he's been at or above .890. The premise of the post is that Adam Dunn is going to turn it around. Anybody who is seriously worried about him is fooling themselves. All Ozzie can do is keep doing what he's doing. My only question is... where is your blog and why haven't you started it yet?
