  1. Keep em comin boys.... and athankyou.
  2. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 12:07 PM) Frontera isnt in the loop either. So I see. You assholes!!!!! Come on!
  3. I believe my wife would murder me if I spent $300 on dinner anyway... not including drinks/tip.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 11:58 AM) If you really love your wife you'd take her to Alinea. Save the whole "Loop" portion of the request.
  5. I COULD do Frontera. I don't know how romantic Mexican is, but we both like Rick Bayless due to Top Chef Masters.
  6. We've done Petterino's and Catch 35, but you're on the right track. Something with a touted chef would be fun too, but close enough to Ford that we can eat then hit that at 8pm.
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 11:39 AM) What price range? I'm unconcerned really. Let's cap it at $75/head, but cheaper is fine.
  8. Something tasty, open to whatever. It'd be dinner for before a show with the wife.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 09:32 AM) I'll always remember that movie as the time when one of my friends discovered that just because the movie theater allows you to personally dispense as much butter flavored topping onto popcorn as you want, it's not always a good idea to continue adding it to the popcorn. Your digestive system may eventually disagree. So you're telling me he s*** his pants when they showed Kate Winslet's bobbies.
  10. Plenty of time to get all 25. I'm shocked anyone can forget Willie Harris. He only scored the Championship-clinching run.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 08:59 AM) 17 HR and 71 RBI in a bad year is little pop? Anyway, I guess it depends on how the fantasy league you're in values SB's. From an OF, yeah, that is dogs***.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 08:37 AM) ? Even last year he was still 24/29 on stolen bases. So as long as you don't mind carrying a .220 average with little pop you are money.
  13. Rios is WAY too high.
  14. The last thing this team needs to do is go out and acquire a 35 year old with that contract. Thomas's save percentage (.915) is worse than Niemi's (.922). You need to give Niemi a tryout... start 9 of 12 and see how the stats look after that.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 11:04 AM) Did you see Brady's last playoff game where his normally outstanding supporting cast and the well-oiled machine didn't pick up any slack? ^^
  16. QUOTE (everafan @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 10:17 AM) He also tested positive for pot at the WBC right? Garcia experienced a bit of controversy at the beginning of the 2006 season when he tested positive for marijuana during the World Baseball Classic.[3]
  17. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 10:26 AM) Pssh, easily the greatest my ass. I hate Brady, but I'll take the guy with 3 rings in 4 tries versus a guy that consistently loses in the playoffs, despite nearly always having a first round bye and home field advantage. He's basically Favre, a guy that you want because he's a winner and makes nobodies into somebodies. But he's not the greatest because he didn't win when he had the opportunities to. I'd say Brady's supporting cast greatly outweighs Peyton's. This is just dumb. So Peyton has on won one Super Bowl? He routinely takes teams that are probably .500 with another QB and wins 12 games.
  18. Good Super Bowl, tired of old f***s at halftime. Same as last year pretty much.
  19. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 12:15 PM) wowzerz Steve, it only took you 2+ years to come around to the "Huet isn't good" side of the argument. . . well I'm happy to have you. Dude, I gave up on Huet vocally in this thread much earlier this season.
  20. I just realized this was moved from Soxtalk. That seems odd, given it happened at Soxtalk involving a member of the White Sox.
  21. Got the PSOM in the mail on Friday, with a full writeup on Heavy Rain. This is going to be one of the best games of all time. Heavy Rain Preview I know we've spoken about it before, but everytime I hear something new about this game it gets me more amped.
  22. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 11:18 PM) It was a 6 on 3. Niemi = brilliant. Yes. Niemi is the team's #1 goaltender. He makes some saves he shouldn't and most of the ones he should. He's the anti-Huet.
  23. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 01:53 AM) I gotta say I love how the ESPN analyst were pretty much ripping VDN for using a half court offense when you got a PG who is pretty much unguardable and your using him in a pick-n-roll (instead of isolation), pretty much double-teaming him and giving up the ball to the horrid shooters on our team. Stacey King routinely brings this up. Our tv broadcasters have better basketball minds than our headcoach.
