I'm behind the plate after the game today and this lady comes up to me and says "can i take a picture of your jersey?" Somewhat confused, i say sure...Steff says "Are you Brandon's mom?" "Yes" Her and what must have been his aunt take pictures of my jersey, saying it's the first one they've seen, and they were quite impressed. I felt like a celebrity. Brandon's mom was very nice and says she reads here sometimes...she recognized "steff" from the board, which gave us a laugh. She also thought i was her son, which gave us another laugh. Anyway, the McCarthy's were very nice people, kind of cool to meet them in that fashion.

Great day at the park today. On another note, that's 13 straight wins for me when i'm there after going 0-2 to start the year. Ridiculous.

I only watch sports on TV, minus a few episodes of seinfeld, aqua teen hunger force, or family guy. That's about it.

I agree, i'd rather have Foley on radio painting a picture for me. At worst, i could mute the Hawks road games on TV and still be ok. The problem with simulcasting is that it's hard to understand stuff on radio, sometimes, when you are doing a TV broadcast. It's hard to have a good color guy to play by play ratio...the color guy is more integral on TV, so when he's describing something he's seeing on a replay on radio, it just doesn't translate well. Hopefully Foley goes for this and sticks to radio the whole season, perfectly fine by me. Besides, my memories of foley don't involve watching the tube, they involve laying in my bed during grammar school and listening to hawks home games as i fell asleep. That's foley for ya.
