The mask was one thing, but now it's just getting weird: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-dad...28665--nhl.html

This game appears to be lined up to be more of a s*** fest than it would be just from being outside. Snow will make this a true pond hockey game, for a game that counts for 2 (or 3!) points in the NHL. Instead of 2 of the best teams in the league playing on a nice, fast surface, we will have bad, s***ty hockey, all so the NHL can have 24 outdoor games this year. Do it once, Jan 1, rotate it around, the end. I'll be watching tomorrow, but the hockey won't be any good. And that sucks. Robbed of one of the better regular season matchups of the season. But, hey, if you enjoy teams battling elements instead of playing on a good surface, this will be your game! /nfl thread

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 28, 2014 -> 06:48 PM) Now CPS is saying all players would've been eligible if proper paperwork was submitted. Whatever that means. I don't get it either. You're not eligible unless you have a 2.0...unless you just fill out this ISP form? I get a chuckle out of it, as Cliff was due for some bad karma. -
Blues aren't f***ing around, plus they just became more annoying with Ott.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Feb 28, 2014 -> 07:33 AM) If you are a woman, or are in a long-term relationship with a woman, you know exactly what is missing from a drawer that would be labelled as a "gift" instead of identified. I know, was just continuing the setup angle.

Immediately thought of Kelly Leak.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 27, 2014 -> 04:42 PM) Whaaaaaaaaaa I sent it to a couple of my friends. One of them said "Why does a guy buy a vibrator for his girlfriend anyways? Isn't that what his dong is for?" Wait, the article only says gift, if you know exactly what it was...hmm

Yup, almost a miracle tie up

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 27, 2014 -> 08:18 PM) I guess it's a sign of respect. I don't think we are very good. Nice call not getting the ball to the best offensive player in Ross. Next up id pick Thompson. Bad. It's not, it's just college kids having fun, lay off, everyone should rush the floor every game, if they don't it's ridiculous. It's become so commonplace that it's just beyond stupid at this point. -

Me like Kendrick Nunn. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 26, 2014 -> 09:57 AM) Except then the peons take all of the overhead space, and the first/business class people paying top dollar for tickets won't have that. My second sentence, I said only do it in the normal cabin. Let the fancy people board first.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 25, 2014 -> 09:26 PM) Now a days, it is crucial to get your carry ons on (more often then not the compartments get full so you really do need to get on board that plane early). The airline will let you check for free but since I'm traveling for business, the last thing I want to do is chance my luggage getting lost and/or spend anymore time at the airport waiting then I need to. I guess I just haven't been on enough flights where that happens. Most times I see the plane full and then they have to go close the open doors of the spots that had room in them.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 25, 2014 -> 08:37 PM) After riding public transit for the better parts of 15 years, SWA just reminded me of boarding a train. The people who get there early, get the best seats. People who board later miss out. Planes that have assigned seating should board back to front. At least in the normal cabin. Takes so long to board the plane because the family in row 15 has to unload all their crap up top, into the seats, then finally get in, while everyone else behind them waits. Repeat over and over and over. It's the most inefficient process. All for 5-10 minutes of boarding earlier? What's the rush? You know you have a seat, and rarely, if ever, have I seen them not be able to take everyone's carry on in the bins or in the closet. Are you guys really seeing that happen a lot? It's the funniest damn thing, every time. People rush to line up way ahead of their group being called, then bull rush to get in...all to sit there and wait some more. Things would be so much more efficient if they just boarded a few rows at a time, back to front. I've never given a s*** if I'm in group A, B, C, D, whatever...we're all going to the same place, I have to wait on the plane a shorter amount of time, and I have a seat waiting for me.

We did the drive in August 2011, and it was fine as far as potholes go. It's an adventure, and the back half you're driving like 5-10 miles an hour one some of the crazy turns, but it was still very fun. Tons of places to stop and get out and take pictures or go on a small hike. I found the back half of the drive pretty cool, although part of me was like one small twitch of the wheel, and we drop hundreds of feet off this cliff. Not for the faint of heart. But the views on that side were cool. And it's way quicker to get back, IIRC. I will say his rec of that book is on point, we did a lot of hikes and it helped a ton. Fish House was worth it, as well. And I can rec the luau in Old Lahaina. Jenks, I think we had the same trip minus a few things. Also, go get some shave ice here: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews...aui_Hawaii.html It's epic, and then you'll go back about 10 times like I did. So damn good. If you go see the sunrise at Haleakala National Park, which is pretty cool, do it on the first or second night you're there. That way when you're waking up at like 4am, it will feel a lot later, and it's not that hard to do. We drove it ourselves on our own schedule, and didn't bike down. Frankly, the bike down seemed like it'd be a nonstop turning and holding of the hand brakes, so I don't know how fun it would be. Bring plenty of layers, it's way colder than you'd think up there. People had their hotel robes and their comforters, which was pretty funny, but also smart. You don't want to pack heavy stuff but maybe some under armour or something for underneath. If you go scuba diving, just go rent some stuff yourselves and head to any of the many beaches. Cheap rental stuff and you can be on your own schedule instead of paying through the nose for one of the pre-planned things. Just my opinion. I think the place we used was called Snorkel Bob's. Also, fruit water at the hotel is the best. Oh and sunscreen all day every day. The sun seems about 100x stronger there. I missed a small spot on my stomach the first day and I thought I was going to die it was so red.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 25, 2014 -> 03:39 PM) It sucks to have dropped that low, but it's extra practice and more game time. God knows that team needs it. Take it, start all the freshman in the first game. Although with construction, I'm assuming we can't play at home. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 25, 2014 -> 03:00 PM) Sounds like DJ Williams has been playing PG. So Illinois won't need Brunson. Matthews tweeted something about shocking people tomorrow. Pick up Illinois hat, put down Illinois hat, pick up bag of money Kentucky hat. Shocking. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 25, 2014 -> 09:14 AM) Sigh, that was Groce's best shot at a 5 star immediate impact guy. Dude was tight with Groce, his family loved Groce, his AAU (or some tournament team) was coached by Nunn's dad and one of his best friends is an Illinois verbal commit (Williams). You can't dream up a scenario better than that. And Illinois still whiffs. Illinois just does not get these types of players. It's been 14 years since Dee Brown committed. It's hard to call something a whiff if they go to Kentucky, of all places. It's Kentucky, probably #1 on most recruits' list. I don't really care if they are from Chicago - it's going to be really hard to beat out Kentucky/Kansas/Duke etc. for the very top 5 stars, especially before you go deep in the tournament with the program. You're right, we had a lot of positive things going (although we're last in the BT...), but some programs hold the trump card. We still need a PG, that's a bigger need. And a big guy. I'd be thrilled to have CM, but just from a position standpoint, at least we're in better shape there. We can win with 4 stars and 3 stars. Build the program. Get another couple solid guys, if not 5 stars. -

/prepares to get kicked in the face. Don't pick up an Illinois hat beforehand and I'll consider it a success. Following recruiting is just awful. Not getting excited pre-announcement ever again. Although maybe I should change that to not getting excited until post LOI has been confirmed as in. -
Though everyone will likely laugh, they'll likely be doing it to fit in, all the while thinking "what the f***?" Try to create memories in a different way. I wouldn't want that to be the lasting image from my wedding.
