Illinois plays Mizzou on ESPN2 Wednesday at 7pm. And guess what Steve, i'll be there again . I know it was Valpo, but we played really solid (unlike against Chicago St), and shot the ball real well. Longwood vs Illinois might honestly be the biggest mismatch of the year in college basketball, that won't be a great game to watch. I also got to shake Ron Zook's hand and briefly talk to him, which was sweet. He was introduced as coach at the game yesterday. He was loving the Chief at halftime and he said to me "Hey how about this?" about our basketball team at halftime. He was a huge fan of the school spirit, even for a break game.

IU's offense is just painful to watch sometimes. I'm not an IU fan obviously, but at times i actually say out loud "what the hell are you doing?" after a possession with 2 passes and a 3 point prayer shot with 2 seconds left on the clock. I just don't understand it. We're at the college level, aren't we? I don't know what the solution is, but i mean if you watch an Illinois game (just to use an example), we have so much movement away from the ball, so many screens, so many passes...now i realize the motion offense requires a lot of movement but the players still have to buy into the system and do something every time down the floor. It is very rare to see us use all 35 seconds and then have a s***ty shot to show for it. There's almost always an open shot. People say we are three point reliant...but when you can shoot WIDE OPEN threes all the time, you might as well take them. No reason IU can't do some of this. IU has enough talented guys to be able to get off some better shots than they are right now. Not UI talent, but talent nonetheless. And i agree with Rex, it's Davis' fault more than the players.
