It wasn't complete bulls***...but it was just a rumor. If his leg didn't progress it would have been an option for sure. Brown will probly never be 100% this year. I bet he'll be 80-90% at best all year, but that's certainly good enough to play. Let's just hope he doesn't reaggravate it.

Yeah i'm gonna go with "no" on that one...

I mean, i could care less if you wear red in the general seats, but if it's possible to get you down on the floor, then you'd have to ditch it. The past 2 years i've used IU student tickets to get into your place, so i'd wear a red IU hoodie in the place and then rip it off real dramatically to some loud boos. I'm all about wearing your team's colors in other people's venues, but you understand this case. I'll keep you updated on tickets, single season ones go on sale later this month i believe (if there are any available)

We actually take great pride in being more than just a bunch of yellers and screamers, and Illinois fans (as well as others) respect us a lot more when they realize we help a lot of different organizations.

Greasy, i'm going to try to grab a bunch of single game tickets for others, namely the Wake game, IU game, some other Big Ten games...then hope to get rid of them later. I'll try to swing as many IU tix as possible if i can get any, i know a ton of people at IU. You could always stay with me, i could probly get some of you into the Krush...but in all honesty, you would have to wear orange. You'd get booted pretty easily if you had IU stuff on and i snuck you down there to begin with. So it's up to you. It's a shame we don't make it to IU this year, i've made the trip the past 2 years. It hasn't costed us anything in the past to get into midnight madness. I like the can donation thing though.

In other news ABC is putting Michigan/Illinois on TV saturday at 11. I'm sorry for all of you that accidentally stumble upon it on saturday morning.

Anyone who doesn't put AH at Illinois in the top 10 really doesn't have a clue, the numbers don't lie I would also put Wisconsin up there on the list somewhere or close to it, i don't know how the hell anyone can win there either. Just a place not many people think about.

Illinois is doing a 'midday madness' thing because it's the 100th year celebration of Illini basketball. While i prefer midnight madness, the theory is they will be able to have more people come out to midday madness, especially the older folks and some alumni and such. Kinda blows, though, because i have a hockey game in bloomington after the football game so i won't be able to make it. For whatever reason i wasn't on soxtalk at all last winter, shame i missed out on the college bball thread...but look forward to posting frequently in it this year. If anyone is ever down at U of I for a game and wants to get into the Krush let me know and i can probly sneak you in.

This is a pretty good summary. He's also been the 'victim' of some negative recruiting by other Big Ten teams, namely Purdue on the defensive side of the bal. At this point i can't see Turner recruiting much better than this - but i also don't see him being a great coach at this point either, aside from recruiting. As far as Beujter goes, one of the main problems i see is he's terrible in the red zone, which is crucial to the outcome of games. He make terrible decisions, locks on to receivers, etc. I fret anytime we get 1st and goal from the 8 or 9 yard line. The guy can't finish drives. Also, he's been underthrowing almost every deep ball this year. Jones has burned some defenders only to have to practically stop and make a play on the ball.

To say it should have been or could have been much worse is off in my opinion Turner should be, and will be, gone after this year. Beutjer sure didn't save his job this year.
