  1. On the sox website it says October 15. No details...just says tickets go on sale October 15
  2. I'm 21 now...so i should have no problem getting a hotel room. SS2k4 (or anyone else), you can order a room for 2 nights, and that comes with 4 tickets for each day? And it costs? I'm definitely jumping on this, first time in 2 years i haven't had a conflict with this weekend. Tickets go on sale October 15?
  3. I was at the last field-rushing at NW, against Michigan...the infamous A-Train fumble game. I think that was the last field rush, correct me if i'm wrong. Both games were epic.
  4. I have an 11 minute walk to the Quad. It sucks
  5. Came home from an instense school day to find a 4-2 score in the 12 inning and my day became an instant success. Man, i just love the cubs.
  6. Well i just don't agree with the 10 yard cushions on 3rd and 3, 3rd and 4, and the suicide blitz where no one picks up the RB was ridiculous. And, i don't want to beat a dead horse, but that punt play was an absolute joke and may have easily changed the game. It's real ridiculous because there is replay. If there weren't any, i'd suck, but i'd say oh well.
  7. All i'm saying is, if Illinois hadn't f'd up at the start of the game and could play any sort of 3rd down defense, we probly woulda won. That's turner's trademark, making mistakes that lose games (or at least don't win them, however you want to look at it). Oh yeah, the TD drive that took forever in the 4th quarter, non hurry-up style. That was ridiculous. The thing that riled me was 'giving credit where credit is deserved' because i don't think i should be praising Purdue for a great game. Orton didn't make mistakes, which was key, but it was a pretty evenly contested game all the way through, with more stupid mistakes on our part than theirs. The punt play sure would have turned around the game. I said it before as well...a L is a L, yeah it's great we played well but at some point you have to win a freaking Big Ten game, or beat a decent opponent in 1-A. This s*** is getting ridiculous with Turner. It's frustrating to say the least. Anyway, moving on...yeah i'm an ND football fan too, and i hope they beat up on Purdue. That should be a great game and could obviously go either way. ND might be slighly favored due to home field, i guess.
  8. Driving the zamboni is awesome, no way is that near the s***tiest job ever
  9. Keep drinking your purdue kool-aid over there. Why the hell should i give Purdue a bunch of the credit? They were supposed to be a top 20 team and were favored by 20.5 pts. They didn't beat us as much as you would like to think. Illinois helped them by doing many stupid things throughout the football game. The Illini played over their heads? Or have people overrated Purdue all year buddy? By the way, i'll b**** all i want about the blown punt call, because it was just that, a huge blown call. With instant replay now in the big ten, there is no excuse to miss that call. That was a huge turning point in the game, period. To say anything else is just ignorant. Purdue fans should be thanking their lucky stars they didn't fall to the upset bug Saturday and run off to ND unscathed. Because that sure in the hell wasn't the 'dominant' purdue team everyone talked about after beating up on 2 cupcakes. Your defense, tackling especially, was terrible. Ya, you sure dominated the game, didn't you?
  10. If it was a fumble, the only person who could advance the fumble would be the punter.....
  11. You don't have to have the lead to piss a game away. While not completely giving the game away, fumbling away 7 pts on the first play of the game and giving up a crucial 3rd and 21, among other things, pisses the game away in a way. Sure, they played pretty well, better than expected...but it's still a L, which in reality is the only thing that matters. At some point you have to start winning some of these games.
  12. That's for sure. I also wish that replay would be used for things like this, and that the refs knew the rule. Not guaranteeing we'd win off of that, but that was a huge, huge play in the game that was incorrectly ruled. It's unbelievable.
  13. Happy 21st birthday Steff!!!* *She may be 22, i forgot
  14. By rule, that blocked punt play that Purdue got the key first down on was a blown call. Only the punter should have been able to advance that ball. Unbelievable - we have replay and it's not used. Yeah, that Purdue defense is sure amazing... We pissed that game away with a few key plays including the first one of the game, the 3rd and 20 conversion, and the 'suicide blitz' that resulted in a TD - what the hell kind of play call was that?
  15. Good recap there. The thing that stands out is that Self got some studs - Weber hasn't. You could argue that Livingston would have committed to Illinois (even if he went to the NBA) if Self was still here. Had Villanueva. But we can't land anyone huge right now. When Self walks into Wright's home and lands him without a visit...well i just don't know what to say to that.
  16. Wouldn't bank on those numbers again, and i can't stand his plate discipline.
  17. Why are people still in love with Uribe? My God, if he starts next year this team has some major problems.
