  1. And the next pitch, base hit. Thank you, thank you
  2. BRAD RADKE HAS A NO HITTER GOING. Had to do that. Let's go now.
  3. Solid explanation. Ya, players deke like that all the time, but it hardly ever works, usually guys can tell it's going to drop in. He should have scored.
  4. Agreed...you have to see it to believe it...you'll start laughing. If you see any mid season highlights reels, it'll be on there.
  5. He's had his good years though, this year he's just plain old mediocre on the edge of bad
  6. From what i can remember, he like ran to second, thought the ball was caught and starting running back towards second, then realized it wasn't and was out by a mile at 3rd, but the throw got away...so he took off home and was out by a mile this time, and the catcher held onto the ball. It was pretty bad.
  7. Just wanted to make a note that Brade Radke is not that good this year... Carry on
  8. However, it's not like we have problems scoring runs in the Metrodome...wait a minute..... Very true...i don't really know what he's doing with stars out back to back days. gotta rest em up for the Cubs series i guess, which isn't as important as this one (though close)
  9. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Don't hate the guy, but won't miss him. But hey, if you can run around the league as a backup catcher, ah, what a life that is. Good luck to him with that, it's a good life.
  10. He held someone to a single during the cubs series on a ball in the left center gap when he was playing all the way in right center. Speed can make up for bad jumps
  11. I just hope one of em gets going, if not both...making it a good decision to have on who to put in CF. Maybe the friday game against the cubs got Rowand's bat going...liked what i saw. Time will tell.
  12. 1-2-3 top of the first
  13. I'll take willie's bat and speed over Rowand. Neither is that great of an option. That's the reason i questioned you saying Thank God aaron is in there.
  14. He has but doesn't anymore - that's worth something right there
  15. Harris cannot track a ball in CF. I don't care how fast you are, if you are breaking the wrong way on a ball, you aren't going to catch it. Rowand's done that enough times this year also. See 1st game back up against Giants
  16. A nice nomination...that was the worst base running i've ever seen. However, people have their moments, and i don't know everything about Rivera, but i have seen Jimenez for half a year, and he's brutal. He's not fast..but he's not "slow", which would make it harder for him to be a good base runner. He's fast enough
  17. I would respect the guy a lot more if he came out and said "well, i made a mistake pitch, my fault" than trying to tell me a HR on a straight fast ball was luck.
  18. I agree -- Frank has said all the right things thus far in '03. I might go as far to say that Frank is being a "team player"...and Mark is not. For a 4th year guy...not being a team player is a huge no no
  19. IlliniKrush replied to jc456's topic in SLaM
Trolls suck, and need to get a life Disagreeing is one thing (me and brandofan do that all the time)....trolling and calling each other worthless s*** is another. Brandofan isn't a troll, but this other guy is. I don't know what goes on on that other board, but we don't need those problems or trolls here.
  20. Frank has been saying some good things lately, Mark's taken over the role of the guy who can't keep his mouth shut
  21. Oh, as if Rowand is a great alternative Anyone else think Crede should be up a spot or two in this lineup? I sure do.
  22. We either come out with a game or leave droppin a game...2 game difference...pretty big, especially for Buehrle to get off his bulls*** excuses for not wanting to pitch here.
  23. If Koch had a 2.5 ERA and coverted 19/20 save opps, i'd have no complaints. s*** happens, even to the best of them But this sums up his season...this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. That's the reason people b****. Could that fastball be any straighter? Lordy. And i like how he says Jones didn't hit it that hard and that it was off the end of the bat. Right billy, right
  24. I usually put the remote down and curl up with a blanket, slowly bringin it up to my eyes ready to cover em...and bite my nails.
  25. Is he the worst base runner you've ever seen? If not, please provide another name. This guy has no f***ing clue on the basepaths and i'm sick of it. He's not the only one, but my god, this baserunning is killing us. And for him being pretty quick, he is terrible
