Ah, cwsox, you gotta love that guy. Thanks for the hug buddy, but don't hide how distressed you are about your almighty wings being down 3-0 to the ducks. You know it's killing you; don't just blow it off as no big deal. And yes, i take a lot of joy out of the wings losing, as do all hawks fans. And i will claim we started this ride out of the playoffs by beating you in OT on the final sunday and making you play anaheim instead of edmonton. But that's not a huge deal. I can only wonder if cwsox was actually crying while posting, or if he slept at all last night. It's gotta be tough losing to the hapless ducks 3 straight games and watching your goalie misplay pucks that lead to game winning goals. At least he finally admits he's worried. It's alright man, there's always next year...maybe....that team is really friggin old, and Cujo sucks. Speaking of which, you think Legace starts game 4 and every game from here on out? Should he?

You know, i hate off days too. However, i spent my time tonight doing two very enjoyable things...it almost made me forget the Sox didn't play tonight. I just hope some of you joined in on the fun of: 1. watching the Cubs lose And 2. watching the wings lose I don't know what more i could ask for out of a night where the Sox don't play. I honestly don't think it's possible to have a better night, but if anyone thinks of anything else, let me know.

Now, i dare you to come on here and say you still aren't worried. Only twice in the history of the NHL has a team overcome a 3-0 deficit. But that's getting beyond the situation at hand. I'm just wondering if you think the Wings will even win a game, or will they just get swept away by the "mighty" ducks and JS Giguere..... Gotta love Cujo misplaying the puck for the game winning goal. 2 softies in game 2 also. I told you he'd be your downfall, and here it is. I'm loving this cwsox, i only hope you are loving it as much, or more, than i am. Have a nice day

THis really sucks. Being here at Illinois, rumor has it Self is going to Kansas. However we as students and fans are doing as much as possible to show him we love him here tomorrow, rallying, and camping out and showing up outside their banquet, etc. If all else fails i guess we will end up with Cream from marquette, but i don't want that. Self has built one helluva program after taking over for Kruger and it's on the rise. We'll see what happens, but i don't like the looks of this right now at all.

Prior is definitely more nasty than Buehrle. It's pretty obvious. I think prior will accomplish enough this year to prove that. I remember we had a thread going earlier about who is/would be better, and we all said wait and see...well i know it's early, but wow, if he lights it up tonight...game over. This guy is ridiculous. And the best thing about it (from a cubs fans point of view anyway) is that with his mechanics, there's only a small chance he'll get injured this year, IMO. Baker just has to watch his pitch count...and that goes for all his pitchers. I think he let wood throw 120+ the other day. You can't be doing that in the cold in the 2nd week of April, that's pretty foolish.

Did anyone else see the newspaper ad that was printed in a Florida paper that said "come watch batting practice with greg maddux and the marlins" ???? That was pretty ridiculous, and then he shut em down all day. To go along with that, oliver perez showed up jose hernandez after he struck him out tonight, then when hernandez went yard a few innings later, he trash talked the whole time around the bases, imitated perez's dance, and then did the always classy move of grabbing his nuts

Although Michigan hasn't done all that much winning lately...at least not what you guys expect to win. And about your fans...it's a bunch of 70 year old guys sitting around in a stadium in which half the seats make the players look like ants. It's not very intimidating. Paul Edinger once said it was the easiest stadium in the Big Ten to kick in, because the fans are just a bunch of old quiet guys

Man, I don't know who looks worse in this post... Him for being "gay" or you for being a homophobe. I don't know who is more gay, him for posting that, or you for trying to rip on someone and failing miserably...you are a joke, get a life.

That picture of Kenny was pretty hilarious, it's a shame it had to go

What's up now buddy? 2-0 going to the Pond in Anaheim...uh oh.....can't score on Giguere...you can't tell me you aren't worried. Detroit dominated that second period and just couldn't score. The goal Cujo gave up to Thomas, the game winner, was pretty weak. On the ice, five hole...pathetic. I think he will be the wings downfall, if not this round, very soon. I love it.

When Graff hits a perfectly placed ball that turns into a double play, you know it's just not your day. Oh well, it happens. See ya tomorrow Tiggers.
-
Not Wirtz, Mike Smith...who will be gone soon enough
-
give em to scalpers and have them sell em for way overprice to idiotic cub fans who believe they can actually use them, screwing their fans over in more ways than one
-
Cubs lose! Cubs lose! Nice throw Karros, that was stellar..maybe you should underhand it next time.

Ya, i've always said that Garland has to learn how to "pitch", not just throw
-
Flash is mainly a curveball pitcher...the fastball only sets it up. I don't really think it's a coincidence, but who knows. Gordon probly still isn't 100%, and Garland is young and still developing and learning. We'll see what happens.
-
Least amount of innings pitched is a HUGE positive. Keeps the bullpen fresh all year long, and is a good indicator of the success of your starters. Now if Flash Gordon would only become usable in close game situations...
-
Thus far Marte has been more consistent, but Koch has better "stuff". If he just learns to use it correctly and get his head screwed on straight, he'd be even more dominant. But you need both of them on this team...you need marte for the 8th...especially after what i've seen from flash thus far
-
That and the fact that everything he threw was down the middle of the plate
-
It's too bad we don't support the Brewers...ritchie didn't do anything here
-
Ya, maybe a defensive replacement for sandy or as a pinch runner, but surely not as a pinch hitter...who in the hell would he pinch hit for? A pitcher in an interleague game, MAYBE.
-
And then we gave them wells and fogg for ritchie
-
With a team that's rebuilding with young guys like Huff, Baldelli, and Crawford, i don't think they need an older guy to "look up to" and use as an "example" as john rocker...I think this could be detrimental to the team more than anything
