  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 27, 2013 -> 08:46 AM) Part 1 of my epic prediction came true two nights ago - part 2 drops puck in 10.5 hours. Go Hawks. I thought we'd win game 5, and I believe we win game 7* It's just getting there. Here goes nothing. Come on boys.
  2. Lots of weapons http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer-dirty...-175747609.html
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 25, 2013 -> 04:19 PM) Beat anybody up? On a side note, I just got done destroying legs today and following that up by treating myself to a mani/pedi. Whatever works dude
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 24, 2013 -> 09:10 PM) Remember when these series were the hottest ticket in the town and people actually cared about them? I doubt I even send one s***-talking text to my Cubs fan friends next week. I used to go to 4-6 of them each year with friends on both sides. Tailgated, etc. 2005 ended that. QUOTE (lord chas @ May 25, 2013 -> 03:41 PM) Every year I lose more and more interest in this series. Is the BP Cup still around? f*** YEAH IT IS
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 25, 2013 -> 03:37 PM) Hawks are going to rip off 3 straight. Howard's luck is going to run out, and the UC crowd will pump the Hawks up for a blowout tonight. They'll head back to the Joe with their confidence regained. I'll have what you're having, and apparently you've started 3+ hours before gametime. What time should I come over? Also, please have the $29.95 ready.
  6. I think they win tonight (although not confident at all), but lose game 6. Blowout or not, you aren't going to shake a team with a 3-2 lead heading back to their building.
  7. This thread is great, if for nothing else but to skim through the pages and see people that haven't been around in years.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 24, 2013 -> 09:50 PM) Normally I would have but I'm challenging myself to go a month with out drinking. Haven't had a drink since May 4th and wont until June 8th. Weird, I know. And for the record, it's f***in awful. I hate not partying. I'm worried.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 24, 2013 -> 05:26 PM) Man, I miss roller hockey. Besides basketball, it was definitely my favorite sport to play. Cake eater.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 24, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=2807535 Ballsack. It only had guys from 2 AL Central teams though!
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 23, 2013 -> 04:43 PM) We need to ban cleavers. CLEAVER WARS ON EVERY INTERSECTION. Nah, if the guy had a cleaver, he would have been able to defend himself and/or this never would have happened.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 23, 2013 -> 07:01 AM) I swear that I'm not anti-#19, but this stat blew my mind. In his last 29 playoff games, Toews has scored 3 goals. 2 tonight.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 23, 2013 -> 08:09 AM) This game is going to be nerve-racking. I just hope they get out to an early lead and pile on so I can not be freaking out. Part of me wants the game to start right now, part of me doesn't want it to start for a long time.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 22, 2013 -> 04:54 PM) I figured as much. I'm trying to get my dad to a game who is an ex-Army combat engineer. Free would be the best price! Sunday tickets are as low as $5
  15. Listening to Kenny Albert do NHL games is so weird.
  16. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ May 20, 2013 -> 09:13 PM) The Shaw goal? Seriously, what is the rule there? Why was that interference? 69.1 Interference on the Goalkeeper - This rule is based on the premise that an attacking player’s position, whether inside or outside the crease, should not, by itself, determine whether a goal should be allowed or disallowed. In other words, goals scored while attacking players are standing in the crease may, in appropriate circumstances be allowed. Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal; or (2) an attacking player initiates intentional or deliberate contact with a goalkeeper, inside or outside of his goal crease. Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact. The rule will be enforced exclusively in accordance with the on-ice judgment of the Referee(s), and not by means of video replay or review. ... If an attacking player has been pushed, shoved, or fouled by a defending player so as to cause him to come into contact with the goalkeeper, such contact will not be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player for purposes of this rule, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.
  17. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 20, 2013 -> 08:58 PM) So any of you hockey guys wanna give me a rundown on why this is happening? Saturday we got outplayed, badly. Much, much better game than Saturday...this game was pretty even...but still a loss. Still can't score on the power play (yes we're killing off theirs...doesn't mean you can't find one of your own). Seabrook has been awful. Torched on the first goal. Get the man OR the puck...gets neither. And for the love of God stop chasing hits below the f***ing circles in the offensive zone. 2nd goal, terrible clearing attempt by Rozsival. Hit 3 posts + bad call on the disallowed goal. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are the best players on the ice. Lot of prime scoring chances tonight...simply couldn't finish. Sharp, Hossa, etc. Sure they came back to tie it without a bad call, but IMO this game was lost with the first 2 goals, 30 seconds apart, on 2 awful defensive plays. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 20, 2013 -> 09:08 PM) Kill me. Agreed. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 20, 2013 -> 09:19 PM) It wasn't. Howard wasn't even touched. Correct. I'm about as unbiased as they come on this stuff...that was the wrong call. Problem is, it's a judgment call, not reviewable (but likely should be, there's not really a good reason it can't be, wish they'd change the rule at some point), so it stands. Howard wasn't impeded and there was barely any contact. Also, just to clarify, it doesn't have to be ruled a penalty for it to wave off the goal. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 20, 2013 -> 10:29 PM) Next one a must win if you ask me. Yup. See ya Thursday. f***.
  18. @ZachKerker sources: Wes Lunt visiting Illinois today. Also hear Illini are currently front runner in process, which is in early stages
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 16, 2013 -> 05:18 PM) They do sell them..., Buy me one! I'm not THAT curious about it. But I guess my overall point is that I bet most people couldn't tell what .08 feels like, anyway. Which is why the mandatory one in the car would be awesome, even if tough to pull off.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 16, 2013 -> 05:09 PM) So much bad, non-science related math going on here. Four beers in four hours can have a vastly different effect on two men of same age and size. The body is a wonderland! I'll science your face. I've always wondered what BAC I'm at even when it has nothing to do with driving. Like, what does .08 feel like? What does .02? What does .15 feel like? Sometimes I wish I had a breathalyzer around just to be like "hmm, didn't know that's what my BAC is at this point"
