While Dotel had a great '09 season ~$6Mil for a 36 year old arm isn't worth the risk. But looking at FA options... I doubt KW will find anyone better for the price.

If the Cubs offer to cover 50% of his contract, I'd think about it since it's an even swap for the Sox. If they offer 75%+ you'd be a fool to decline. (Even if they resign Dye)

Whats with all of the Poreda ignorance in this thread? The guy is a legit #4-5 right now. Though it seems KW only wants to show him off in small amounts to boost his value for a possible upcoming trade...

I'd love for KW to pick him up, but I doubt he'll want to come here. I expect him to go to a NL team.

Would rather see Aaron Poreda as our #5... The Blue Jays would want way too much for him. If they take the same offer as the Peavy trade... great, but anything more is robbery.

With TCQ out, what do you guys expect? He carried the Sox for most of '08... Blaming KW is silly, He traded Swish/Vasquez because Ozzie wanted them gone. KW filled every position... Who knew Fields / BA wouldn't perform to their capabilities? Also Ozzie will be here through '12.

Please... stop bringing up the 2013 option and that Peavy doesn't deserve the 22 million. Its been brought up countless times: For 76 mil over 4.75 years (16 mil per year), Peavy is a steal. KW knows this, and I doubt he'll leave this alone.

Im loving all the Peavy hate....... Seriously talks are not over, Peavy just rejected the proposed trade... KW/JR could decide to pick up the option, though no doubt their offer will fall a little

I wonder how Kennys package could be better than what the Cubs offered... If he accepts the Sox would have the best 1-2 in the central Man I still wish Kenny kept Vazquez as a #4.
