I have a blue shamrock tattooed on my arm. I got it probably 5 years ago. Im pretty sure I will get another one or two down the road but it would have to be something I really liked.

Im a General Contractor and I can tell you that you wouldnt think the economy is that bad if you saw how many people and businesses are having work done. Not so much luck for the real estate investing side of it right now though...

QUOTE(Markbilliards @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 06:11 PM) Anybody hear anything on Mitsubishi Lancers? One of my friends spent 40k on a Lancer Evolution MR and flipped it on LSD, that was a fun day... ...Lake Shore DR, not the drug

QUOTE(Markbilliards @ Feb 26, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) I'm 22, out of college and now have my own full time income. I've been lucky enough to be borrowing my dad's 2nd car since I got out of school, but its getting to the time where I need to buy my own. I'm looking for a car in the $12,000 range, I can go up to $14,000 but I want to be very very happy with the vehicle to go that high. I'm looking for something that meets the following -Used Car -No older than 2003 -Gets good-decent gas milage -Sedan or Coupe -40,000 miles or less -Something that looks decent and wouldn't be stereotyped as a "girl's car" -A car that is reliable enough where I won't have to get it fixed much I was looking at a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GT because it met the price range and looked real good, but after reading reviews I feel like that car is not all that reliable, is bad in the winter, and is made more for Asian-heighted people. Anybody have any suggestions on what to buy considering my price range and other criteria? Some would argue a Tiburon is a girls car. I would look at Civics. It would pretty much fit all your criteria.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 05:55 PM) I agree with the Bar part, but I have to disagree on things for people to do. I know a ton of things to do in and around carbondale. It just so happens that alcohol is part of many of the other things to do. Beat me to it. I would think SIU has more stuff to do than any other University in the state, not in the city though. Theres the drinking to of course

Im pretty much the poster boy for what the beast is saying he hates. Dont worry, the feelings are mutual, I wouldnt want to be around you any more than you dont want to be around someone like me.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Feb 23, 2008 -> 03:19 AM) Dude, we got him for Tyson, whom Pax basically wanted to drop, and then found Denver a willing taker for Smith, whom we wanted no part of... He had a great game tonight, but he'd bring NOTHING to a Bulls team with Gordon already as their 6th man monster. He was really hyped coming into the league, however when a guy with the ability of Smith gets dumped as an extra in trades you know hes got a s*** attitude.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 23, 2008 -> 02:58 AM) The Cowboys take a big cap hit by releasing Williams. Unfortunately Jerry Jones made the mistake in re-signing him. If you're a safety in the NFL today, you HAVE to be able to cover. It doesn't matter how good you are in the box, and in run support, you have to be able to cover. It doesnt make the guys like Roy Williams look good when there are guys like Polamalu, Sanders and Reed in the league who can cover and stop the run. -

QUOTE(dasox24 @ Feb 23, 2008 -> 01:10 AM) Really? Okay, how about the thousands of dollars that fraternities (and sororities) raise for charity each year. For example, my fraternity raised $10,000+ for St. Jude Children's Hospital this year alone. I guarantee that's more than most "independent" organizations raise for charity ever year. Plus, factor in the donations to other philanthropies and the participation in community service (Habitat for Humanity mainly for my fraternity) as well as things like partaking in Race for the Cure and Relay for Life (two philanthropies for cancer research), and fraternities do a lot more good than the average organization on campus. Also, at most schools (at least in the SEC), greek life tends to dominate student government and other prominent organizations like that. I'm not saying you have to be in a fraternity/sorority to be involved, but it's true: most involvement is from those in a greek organization. I am involved in SGA, am helping run a campaign for my fraternity brother who's running for SGA president next year, and am a member of our student alumni organization (which, not to brag, but more as a point of reference: it's pretty difficult to get in). So what if we like to get really drunk when we party? That's so stereotypical, but I'll agree that it's true. But really, is that such a bad thing when we do so much good to the surrounding community. And no, I'm not condoning what these kids did to this hotel room. But if you're gonna call out fraternities like that, I want you to realize how much good really does come from them. Theres always haters, dont sweat it -

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 22, 2008 -> 06:42 PM) Archuleta is the worst cover safety in the NFL today IMHO. Even worse than Williams, and that's saying something. So youre saying you want us to throw in a fourth rounder? -

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 21, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) Ken Hamlin got franchised. Means Flozell "The Hotel" Adams will now hit FA. Would be a decent target for the Bears on a 3 year contract. Now if only we could get rid of Roy Williams somehow. We'll give you Archuletta for him straight up -

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 21, 2008 -> 07:26 PM) Me. I have class. I also don't want to be charged $100 for breaking a cheap lamp. If you had so much class you wouldnt stay in a hotel that had such cheap lamps. -
Wow, I would take Hughes and Gooden for Wallace any day.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 20, 2008 -> 11:16 AM) Would you like to have free minutes at home, using the same phone and phone number? I can see how that would be a good benefit for most people, especially families, it just wouldnt effect me. I have a ton of minutes on my phone and have free sprint to sprint minutes and nights starting at 6. If they can get everything like internet and cable to run the same way somehow that wouldd be pretty cool.

NBA to hold outdoor game in preseason
DrunkBomber replied to greasywheels121's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
The NBA is becoming more of a joke every year. The trades that have been going on lately have totally ruined the integrity of the game. Teams are trading huge stars for nothing and it has turned into an arms race in the West now. I know they blocked it from happening but what happened with Stackhouse was ridiculous too. -
This wouldnt really even do anything for me either. i havent had a land line for a few years and Ive never had a problem getting reception anywhere, let alone inside my house.

QUOTE(BaseballNick @ Feb 18, 2008 -> 10:53 PM) I love my Treo. I've had the 700P for a couple years and it's awesome. It's got a full QWERTY keypad and touchscreen. These are two features I would need on my next phone (whenever I decide it's time to upgrade). I have Sprint service, which has really come a long way over the years. The service is great: clear calls, fast internet browsing, etc. but if something happens to go wrong, the customer service with Sprint is about as bad as you'll find anywhere. Ive had Sprint for about 8 years and over the years Ive been building up a nice little contract that I was just renewing every two years and getting something new added on everytime I did it. Like unlimited texting for free or free nights starting at six. I bought a Palm Centro in December and my bill in January was like $400 and its normally like $100. Turns out they simply dropped all my extras off my plan without telling me and then just billed me for it. They credited me some of the money back but wont restore my old plan and were very difficult to deal with. After this next contract is up I think I might go to AT&T just to get the Iphone.

I would assume I was the only one to get ejected and suspended from a football and volleyball game in the same year in high school.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 18, 2008 -> 11:14 AM) I've been looking at the t-mobile Dash, anyone have one, comments? Other PDA phones? I'm looking to snyc with Outlook, and do not seem to need a crackberry, but would consider it if I saw some feature that I could not live without. Basically I'm in my home office most of the time, it is only when I'm in meetings I need to add appointments, look up contacts, etc. I'd also like a to do list that is easy to use. I just don't think I would be sending emails and surfing the web. Doesnt sound like you need a PDA if youre just looking up contacts and setting appointments.

QUOTE(bigruss22 @ Feb 17, 2008 -> 10:50 AM) I'll take any of those over the crap that is here in ann arbor. Seriously, who thinks that Pizza Hut is quality pizza??? Only Michiganders can make a great food horrible. Anybody ever have Nancy's stuffed over in Elmhurst? Whenever I go back I always get some of that, mmmhmmm!! Ya, I live about 2 minutes from there and Ive gotten it from time to time. Theres a Lous in downtown Elmhurst too so when I want deep dish I normally go with that.
