  1. Treat it like the stock market with players each being different stocks and the contracts they negotiate is how many shares of their own stock they get. This way if they blow their shares will be worthless and if they perform well they are driving up their own value. Clearly Im joking but as I type this its sounding pretty cool so someone make a phone call and lets get this done.
  2. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 12:41 PM) Where was Desmond this past year? Or was he still on the Bears. I don't really remember him being cut. I'm a huge Desmond Clark fan. He's obviously past his prime but he's a high character guy who I always enjoyed having on the Bears. Up until last season he was by far the most consistent receiving option we had for years.
  3. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 10:49 PM) It amazes me how little people understand Randy Moss. Im assuming you have him all figured out dont you.
  4. Wouldnt Gohlston be better served trying to be our strong side linebacker? He has the speed and strength, he obviously wasnt the "hybrid" the Jets were looking for but the risk/reward is there depending on how they use him.
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 12:25 AM) Hamilton can now add manslaughter to his terrific resume Id like to say what you could add to your resume after this brilliant comment but I dont want to get banned.
  6. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 10:58 PM) That's stupid. Miami was not supposed to be this good this year. They had no bench. Give them some vets taking MLE or less and at some point they're primed to make a push for it. Who said they werent supposed to be good this year?
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 12:23 PM) Lebron is a superstar, Lebron is probably going to be a hall of famer. I dont care if he never scored a point in the 4th quarter of an NBA finals game, there are players in the Hall of Fame who never even played in the finals. All Ive said is that Lebron didnt have a bad game last night. (edit) Or more correctly, all I said was that people were being to hard on Lebron, because Lebron wasnt the reason Dallas won. It takes away from the Mavs when people act like there was more that Miami could have done. Miami does not regularly score 110+ points, Dallas beat Miami, they won the game, it wasnt about Miami beating itself. Im not sure why people have to put the Heat on such a pedestal, that it cant possibly be that Dallas is better.
  8. Im not sure if these have been posted but its stuff like this that makes everyone hate the Heat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pYGtlTnWiE...player_embedded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foaPMZxtzx4...player_embedded
  9. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 10:05 PM) I thought about it, but I'm pretty pleased with Infamous and Wipeout so far. Infamous is surprisingly fun and Wipeout is a solid racing game considering I didn't have any in my collection. I havent picked a 2nd game yet. Which of those two would you say is better?
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 10:00 PM) I heard it 3 or 4 times on Sportscenter. And going back in my mind, I can't remember a situation where the team that lost game 3 when the series was tied ever winning. I'll check basketballreference. If that is true then its just an amazing fluke. Being down 1-2 with 2 more consecutive home games doesnt put overwhelming odds on a team to come back. If the Mavs can protect home court the next 2 games and go back to Miami only needing to win 1 game then they have a good chance.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) So how come nobody is complaining about Dallas getting all the calls tonight? You cant tonight. If anything they were getting favorable calls it seemed.
  12. I got Little Big Planet from the welcome back package. I had heard it was a good game and never gave it a chance and it got pretty addictive. Anyone who hasnt tried it Id recommend getting it as one of your welcome back games.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 03:28 PM) I'm not giving up the sport I've followed for 20 years because a team I don't like wins a title. And it's not that people don't like them. People just can't get over last summer. I've been over it. I dont think its the fact a team people dont like might win the title as much as it was how that team was assembled. Everything from the decision to all three players seemingly stringing along the Bulls last summer. Not to mention that a lot of people think the Heat have gotten favorable treatment from the refs during the playoffs, which obviously the NBA has a track record with.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:31 PM) Whale Wars starts up again this Friday. I dont know why but for some reason I got hooked on that show after watching a few of them on Netflix. It will be interesting to see what new bs they have this season.
  15. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 08:52 AM) Isn't some of it the lower average income? I thought Florida was kind of a poor state. I think it has more to do with the fact that a higher percentage of the population werent born and raised there, similar to LA. For the most part when people move to a new city later in life they keep their alliances with their favorite teams.
  16. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 23, 2011 -> 12:12 PM) Hopefully the Heat have a letdown on game 4.I told my brother that game 3 was gonna be tough to take and our best chance was game 4... BTW, if Bosh keeps scoring 30 plus a game, Bulls have no chance, put a body on that fool!! Did you miss game 1?
  17. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ May 22, 2011 -> 05:13 PM) It just kills me to read all these articles about tonight's game making the Bulls the underdogs in this series because of game 2. It's like none of the writers even watched the game to realize just how poorly the Bulls had to play for Miami to win. It's as if none of them realize that Korver being on the floor opened up Lebron for the final 5 minutes. It's as if game 1's ass whooping never happened. If I see one more pic of Lebron's swollen head I just might lose it. It literally went from one extreme to the complete other after games 1 & 2. After the first game all we heard was how Miami has no chance because the Bulls are too deep and Taj Gibson is the most underrated player in the NBA and then after game 2 the Bulls have no chance because LeBron dominated the last few minutes and because Haslem came from the heavens and now the Bulls have no answer for him. I can see this series going the distance and I wouldnt be surprised if either team won, but if the Bulls can play anywhere close to how they did in game 1 then IMO it wont matter how good/bad Miami plays because the Bulls best is better then Miamis best. Obviously it remains to be seen how well either team will play and thats why they play the games. A few of my friends who arent Bulls fans were saying the Bulls cant win in Miami which I found to be pretty funny. I know Miami is playing much better then they did in the regular season and the Bulls are a much better home team but theres a reason why the Bulls are 4-1 vs them this year, and tbh I dont think Miamis fans are very intimidating to opposing teams.
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 2, 2011 -> 10:39 PM) We are hated and it makes me sad for people who hate me for a silly reason that makes no sense, when I sit here and often times defend them far more than others would. I just hope there is one of them that sits there and defends me. Osama hated me, he wanted me dead, but I pity him, because he wasted life on hate, when he could have really helped people by using his vast wealth and message for good. Just reading through this thread and seeing some of the garbage that you are posting is honestly jaw dropping. Its no coincidence that a few people didnt even know how to respond to some of your posts because they are literally that ridiculous. A lot of your post say things like "I dont think" or "I dont feel" or "To me." Your opinion is your opinion, and nobody is trying to take that away from, but you need to get off your high horse when you disagree with other peoples. How dare you try to belittle the effect 9/11 or anything else OBL had part in because you dont feel the death count was high enough to make it as significant as some other event in history? 9/11 had a DEVASTATING impact on my immediate family, something that we still havent recovered from and there are tens of thousands of people around the country that were impacted more then not being able to bring shampoo on airplanes. So dont try to tell me how to feel, or how to act or that I should be worried that getting some closure will offend people that dont know me or care whether I live or die across the world. I dont doubt that there were handfuls of people who were just celebrating to celebrate last night, and thats their right. A right thats being protected for them by soldiers all over the world. As other people have pointed out, these were peaceful celebrations, they werent riots. It was one of the most refreshing things Ive seen in terms of national pride watching people all over the country cheering, singing and being proud of our nation. Its been a long time since people have been able to put politics and hate aside and all celebrate as a whole around here, no matter what the reason. Im very grateful to the Obama administration, all of the soldiers that have risked their lives for our freedom and anyone else who had a role in bringing this closure to me and my family. I guess that makes me a bad guy.
  19. I feel honored to be the first to say : HE GAWN!
  20. WTF? A quarterback....really. Its not like this is a vet to back up Cutler either. A late round project qb when we already have Hanie who looks like he could could be a capable number 2. How do we only have 1 offensive lineman at this point, no wrs, no cbs... I love the first two picks dont get me wrong. Im willing to give the third rounder a shot before I complain, but this is just asinine.
