  1. Personally, I prefer Houston. They are way weaker than the Cards are all around. We could probably sweep the stros. the Cards, on the other hand, would take 5 or 6 games at least. just my opinion though, what you all think?
  2. a W is a W. lets be happy and carry this momentum to the series!!
  3. three pitches. com'n, jermaine, for god's sake.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) Ditka = Chicago. He gets a pass, imho. yeah, you are right.
  5. i like your response, but i think the chances of him reading this much less caring about it are slim to none. its too bad, since you are 100% correct in my opinion.
  6. i've been here all along...just so everyone knows

  8. found it myself: http://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?showtopic=1073&st=1220 it looks like this is when the game ended. i just love how they concede to defeat. i know im not the only one who loves to hear other people cry.
  9. whoever it was that gave that link to the bosox forum about graf's error, give the link to that forum again...i want to read the whole process of them losing hope and crying and b****ing about how they are simply not even close to as good as we are!
  10. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:20 PM) Who is El Duce??? um...are you serious?
  11. its written in stone in my mind. el duce has to be our set up man. what a clutch performance. im supposed to be doing property homework for law school and im drinking wine and celebrating. I LOVE THE WHITE SOX!!!! seriously though, we should have el duce as our set up man for the rest of the season.
  12. not just uribe, but we are doing EVERYTHING right.
  13. man, could berman have been any less enthusiastic during the game? i used to not mind him, but i hate that fat bastard now. he doesnt know s*** about baseball.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) I've been bashing him all season, but I LOVED that he kept Jenks in for the 8th and 9th. Jenks didn't even have close to his best stuff, yet he still was able to make tough pitches. A lot of us got annoyed with how Ozzie would use 4 pitchers in an inning during the season. However, Ozzie didn't do that tonight, and made the Red Sox beat our best closer (with Hermanson's bad back). Good job Ozzie hey, ive said it before and i'll say it again: it takes some cahones to admit you are wrong. i agree with you, leaving jenks in was the right move (very wasy to say in hidsight, but at the time i was for the move as well).
  15. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) This might be the best page guys--the immediate reaction after Graffy's error: http://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?showtopic=1036&st=420 . jesus. i read that and it was amazing. all of them screaming "f***" and "no." i think one guy said about graffinino: "once a royal, always a royal." ha! great link!
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) Going on Rome is different. Rome has Simmons on his show more than a few times during the year. But this is a game between the team that the book is about and another team. They could run the commercial on ESPNews, the deuce, even the Ocho if they want. But not during the game. as someone who has worked in broadcasting for over 6 years now, i can assure you that espn doesnt care. if you pay to advertise on espn during the playoffs and pay for it, they are not going to run your commercials on another channel because of a percieved bias. the advertiser paid for baseball playoff placement on the channel the game is on, not baseball playoff placement on another channel that no one who cares about baseball would be watching. just like any other station, they would run an add for the KKK if the KKK paid enough for it. Obviously they are collecting top dollar for the placement of the ad, which whoever is paying for the commercial probably had to bid to get. This is how broadcasters make money- people pay for commercials. Do you expect them to turn down an offer to pay for a ton of advertising? ESPN or no ESPN, no station is stupid enough to turn down a s***load of money, which ESPN is getting from that author or whoever is paying for the commercials.
  17. this asshole can get f***ed. oh wait, mariotti does that to him every night anyway. who's he write for, the tribune?
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 09:33 AM) Seriously, who doesn't like George Wendt? i agree. i love george wendt.
  19. its f***ing over! f*** you wells! we win again!
  20. stick with jenks. stick with the kid baby.
  21. QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 09:38 AM) I'm tired of you bad-mouthing everything around here. Ban him! "oh ms. vandenburg? you forgot to assign us homework! dont let our class out until we have our homework!" your comment reminds me of that one kid in your second grade class who reminds the teacher when she forgets to assign homework. grow a pair!
  22. it takes cahones to admit when you are wrong. my hat's off to you man.
  23. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) Wow, that article is pointless. That guy with his win probability can stick it up his ass. Anyone can tell you that the team that is up 5 runs in the first has a better chance to win, and that with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, the team up 3 has a better chance. I like baseball statisticians as much as the next guy, but give me a break. that's what i'm saying, and i got called "shallow."
  24. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 12:11 PM) you got it. aj is quite the stud. uh...are you a dude?
  25. i made the timo scoreboard stats my desktop. i love timo.
