  1. the best part about the sox winning it all this year is not how i feel about it. im 21, so for my dad, and especially his dad (who are both die hards like me), this is one of the best times of their lives. for example, my grandpa has litteraly waited a lifetime for this. i'm loving this, but i cant imagine how they feel. just stating my appreciation.
  2. i know i will be there for a few weeks with my bro and my dad
  3. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) crede = series mvp? as long as he doesnt f*** up tonight, im inclined to think so
  4. QUOTE(frahungski @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 02:02 AM) don't trade him! yeah, bring on your criticisms, but he's got amazing stuff. he read 98 on the radar at least once tonight. we've just gotta get his head on straight again, and tonight will definitely help. yeah i agree
  5. shameless pandering by the cubs...it makes me uneasy
  6. uribe, just like every other player on the entire roster, has come through in the clutch. this season is just meant to be. i wish we could keep every player we have this year for next year.
  7. here's the difference: konerko is a professional, and alou is a bum.
  8. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) My question for joe Buck is: How was A.J. "Controversy" Pierzynski involved in that? :banghead i hate joe buck
  9. very true. AJ worked the count and drew two walks, that had to sting for oswalt. as usual, AJ is making his mark.
  10. i live somewhat closer to detroit, so most people are just b****ing about the tigers all year. they dont really have hate for the white sox, but they love to hate detroit.
  11. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 05:40 AM) Did anyone see this horrible manager toss a cheer in the dugout, shake his head, put his hands on his knees in disgust, and just all-around show up his players? What a pathetic display. Garner bashed his offense after the game as well. He said that even if the game had lasted 40 more innings his offense probably wouldn't have scored a run. It must suck for Biggio and Bagwell that they have to play for this clown in the twilights of their careers. Hawk must be smiling right now about Garner's meltdown. B) garner is a bum for this too. he should give credit where credit is due. the 'stros may be down 3 games to none, but they havent said die yet, and they're playing their best. we are just a flat out better team. thats why we can play as poorly (at times) as we did last night and STILL win!
  12. wow...a world series home run? that takes some balls. i guess i have to tip my hat to that fan. he could ebay it to some white sox fanatic like me for a lot of money.
  13. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 01:31 AM) Geoff Blum is the greatest man ever. i also love blum
  14. just ask permission first, and in the eyes of the law (criminally and civil), you will be in the clear. if they are a true white sox fan, they will gladly kiss you.
  15. a four game sweep would be amazing. im not saying that i want the sox to lose a game...but wouldnt it just be that much sweeter if we won the series in chi-town? im not complaining or anything by any means, but it's just some whistful thinking...
  16. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 08:23 AM) The only one I care about seeing is being the first MLB team to win TWO World Series games in the same day!!! very true. that would be the most amazing stat of all
  17. you got to love crazy carl.
  18. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 08:13 AM) Well, to be fair, Ozzie was throwing his gum down and kicking some stuff around when the Sox were walking everyone in sight in the extra innings. Also, everyone's local demigod Mike Ditka did much, MUCH worse to his players on the sidelines, where it was more visible ( RIGHT, Emery Moorehead? ) I'm gonna cut the guy a break - tension is high and it's hard to keep composure sometimes. Human beings and whatnot.... blah blah blah. garner's a bum. i remember him whining and b****ing for the cameras when oswalt flat out beaned crede too. nobody likes a sore loser, garner!
  19. QUOTE(chisox72 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 08:42 AM) There are standards, according to an article I just read, if the temperature is less than 80 degrees and its clear out, then the roof has to be opened. They just haven't stuck to that all season. Now that its the playoffs, Uncle Bud's office gets to step in and make them stick to it. I am also sure that aerial footage also has something to do with it. Either way, its MLB's decision, let em whine. On another note, Roy Oswalt demonstrated his stupidity amidst the whining about this stuff in saying that "We had to play in their home field advantage, cold, windy, and rainy. They have been playing in that stuff all year, we haven't." Well, Roy, in case you didn't remember during your many trips to the mound across town, this summer was dry as a f***in' bone, hotter than the blazes of hell until after game 2 of the ALDS, and there really wasn't any wind to speak of. Those conditions were miserable this weekend, and aside from the noise, presented neither team with any distinct advantage. Nice try though. Keep crying. :finger you can put it on the board, YYYESSSS!!
  20. i've been listening to journey and chicago when i study for over 4 years of college now. i'm a huge fan! call me crazy, but it works for me.
  21. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) She is a cub fan. Enough said. f***ing loser. my feelings exactly.
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) Not surprised nor does it bother me. The winning team still gets a ring. yeah, same here, who cares? when we win i'm sure we'll be the next "america's team" for one lousy year like the gay-ass red sawx.
  23. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 02:09 PM) Tendencies huh? Thats actually a good idea for a thread, name other poster's tendencies, cause I dont think I have any..... is that supposed to be crack next to rock raines' picture?!?
  24. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) Whatever. Konerko is the definition of a one dimensional ball player, one that couldn't even crack MLB's top 30 in OPS in his career year. And it would be a good idea to pay him $12 M per? f*** that. i think we ought to keep 'em. the clutch hits during this postseason...hello? you dont think Kongo is worth 12 mill? i strongly disagree.
