Hahn doesn’t want to answer Manny, Bryce and Joc questions, that’s why he’s not there. As Yonder showed, it’s hard to ignore questions from STHs and Hahn can’t use the excuse “I don’t know anything.”

WSD clarified to a guy on Twitter when person asked “White Sox related?” He said “no, Miami Heat” I believe sarcastically

Sox are in no rush. They are the only ones w a confirmed offer on the table. They also have shown Manny how much they want him (more than any other team). Sox know 2019 isn’t the year they will be competitive with or without Manny. They can wait and wait and wait even through a pillow 1 yr contract for Manny and re-engage in 2019 off season. But what if they can’t and might move on? What if Manny gets hurt or shits the bed next season? What if Sox go after Arenado instead? Manny and Danny L lose more leverage when over 60% of the off season is complete and they have one complex yet not low ball offer on the table. There is a deadline and it’s soon, as in Manny will sign w White Sox by their Sox Fest date unless one you (philly, mystery team) pony up now with a concrete written offer. So we wait and speculate but as each hour passes, Manny completes the necessary items like physicals and what not and we count down to the inevitable intro at SoxFest. and other teams move onto their team build finishing touches. and why Bryce? Because pollock takes Dodgers out. And Philly saves for Trout. SoxFest could be pretty pretty pretty good

That’s infinitely more than anyone else these past 2 months. And the eyeballs suggest something big... Aren’t you at all curious what 4 sets of eyeballs and Joe’s sudden departure from twitter posting and here might mean? Sure he had a “1:30 meeting” and this could have been the biggest meeting of his life (note: he’s been very active on here over the past two months so safe to say work meetings have played second fiddle ?) but more likely, he was just given clearance to post eyeballs and nothing more...or he’d lose his source.
-
Sooner than that.
-
Because signing Manny is so 25 minutes ago. We’ve moved on to Bryce now that we have finished orchestrating Manny’s entrance at SoxFest.
-
With over $500+ million commitment, they will fly private to keep the secret.

What we conceivably know: All insiders state Sox in good place Top media confirms Sox have an offer on table No media can confirm if any other teams have extended offer Top desired destination threats (Yanks, Dodgers) seemingly moving in different directions Friends, Family and cryptic social media, soxfest and season ticket calls It’s clear: we have locked up both Manny and Bryce The general public will know who the White Sox are now, my friends!!

Bruce will keep reporting it until he gets the same notoriety as Buster and Bob. As of now, Lozano doesn’t even feel the need to acknowledge Bruce.

Lol. I need to add this documentary to my DVR queue. Sounds as riveting as the future release of the documentary Dwyane Wade shot in 2010 entitled “Distracting the Bulls so they miss out on Bosh and Bron and get Boozer”
-
I was referring to the “leaked” schedule that @SoxFanForever posted with the surprise Manny intro and ice cream social. ?
-
Not necessarily...if for instance the decision was already made a week or so ago, we are drifting further away. But it is Wednesday and Sox Fest has an unusual televised portion on day 1 so......
-
WSD will be there and introduce Hahn who will walk out like his Vince McMahon gif and then boom Manny and Bryce...and Alonso, and Jay etc
-
Zavala and Getz
-
Let’s not jump the gun here. We still have “Wednesday” to look forward to...

Agree. It’s a mistake to dismiss people like WSD or Rabbit when it’s proven they have access to Hahn (via interviews). Doesn’t mean they have knowledge and a source for every statement they make and they are very good about saying whether it’s speculation or based on a source.
-
Hahn has the rare ability to make you feel good about asking your question and the answer sounds eloquent and satisfying. It isn’t until about a week later that you realize you were duped by well-crafted platitudes.
-
As soon as Bruce said that deferred money improves Net Present Value...he should have deactivated his account

Please stop. This is beyond amateur hour “insider” trolling.

The insight seems to be based on several different circumstances weaved into a plausible scenario. If that’s your take, great. Roll with it and many will both be interested and perhaps agree and react. But Occam’s razor is that despite what some believe, every single person in the Sox FO are not ridiculously incompetent. Not one person here should believe for a second that Jerry has swooped in 2 months into this (and 2+ years in the planning) and put some archaic comp and stifled negotiations at a level below what the preferred destination Yankees (and probably 10 other teams) would pay.
-
Bucket (macsandz), rabbit, etc are legit and bucket only comes in from time to time on major topics (big trades in 2017 and Manny mania) but I have a hard time trusting a poster that swoops in 18 hours ago and starts posting like an insider.
-
KW never handles the negotiations, especially on FA signings. It’s always been Hahn or Jerry (for the big ones).

IF offer is 7/175 and Sox haven’t budged, then safe to assume it was the original offer that Sox made a couple weeks ago. Lozano has had that time to drum up interest and get a better one. So why should the White Sox increase their offer? sure they have probably intimated they would go higher if necessary but why is that necessary at this point?
