  1. Stop already. You're hurting my feelings.
  2. Voyagers get no love. Not even a mention. They played yesterday too and beat the Casper Ghosts 3-2. Jordan Cheatham's RBI double in the top of the sixth inning provided the difference The 21-year-old Cheatham, a 43rd-round selection in the 2006 amateur draft out of Indianapolis, Ind., went 1-for-4 and is leading the Voyagers roster with a .331 batting average. Righthander Joucer Martinez worked six innings and improved to 3-1 on the mound this summer, lowering his earned-run average to a respectable 3.33. Voyagers' righty Brandon Kloess got his fourth save with three scoreless innings. He struck out three and now ranks second in the Pioneer with 49 strikeouts on the season. Kevin Dubler was 2-for-4 for Great Falls.
  3. May I have the next dance with you?
  4. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 11, 2009 -> 11:42 AM) I still think he's probably the worst defensive SS we've had in a while. ....since BeeBee Richard.
  5. QUOTE (RibbieRubarb @ Aug 11, 2009 -> 01:29 PM) I did too! Except I read Soxtalk through SS2k5's window. I had to wait for him to stop posting and fall asleep. I'm still waiting... But was he naked?
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 11, 2009 -> 12:09 PM) As opposed to six player leagues where no one trades... Yeah.
  7. Note: Three way tie for 1st. I can't handle the pressure.
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 11, 2009 -> 12:06 AM) Utah (sorry BigEdWalsh) That's ok. I woulda thought the same until I moved here. Yeah, there's a lot of National Parks, mountains, it's actually rather pretty out here. I vote for Rhode Island and Nebraska. Have you ever driven through Nebraska? Good god! ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz Much the same could be said for Nevada, a whole lotta nuthin'. Come to think of it, it's probably at the top of my list. I've been to Vegas and don't care if I never go again.
  9. I lurked around school playgrounds for a long time before my first posting. Seriesly though, I lurked just a little before posting. I had been a longtime WSI guy but was getting fed up with the way that was being run and was looking for something else. Soxtalk was a breath of fresh air.
  10. You know how we b**** and moan when .190 hitters get key hits against us. And I'm plenty guilty of it. Well, it's sure nice to see Castro getting a big hit for US. Back in the game, thanks Ramon!!
  11. Alex Rios: "...just try to help the new team win.” Right on.
  12. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 02:54 PM) Yeh, I know, but doubt they have chance at the WC, but seattle? Better then the white sox? Thats just weird to me. It feels like we are fighting for the playoffs, surging for the playoffs, and wehn I think of Seattle, I think of rebuilding land. Maybe I just dont watch enough baseball. Didn't know how bad the AL central was. I hear ya. When I think of Seattle, I think BAD. Of course when I think of Cleveland....eh, we won't talk about that. GO SOX!!
  13. Damn. Those are really neat. Thanks for posting. Jeez, I miss the midwest.
  14. QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 10:25 PM) I hope to be in a league where people don't ditch their team after a couple games. This has already happened in soxtalk basketball and baseball leagues I was a part of. Right on.
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) Let's see....I'm gonna put my Hall of Fame plaque in this box right here,
  16. Count me in. Fantasy football is my weak point but hey, why not.
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 02:21 PM) Shawn Chacon from 2004 says hello. 1-9 with a 7.11 ERA, 1.94 WHIP, 35 saves That's insane.
  18. With Gartrell's promotion to Charlotte, Gallagher has moved up to Birmingham. 0-3 in his first game. Final stats for the Dash: .270, 21 2Bs, 1 3B, 9 HRs, 49 RBI.
  19. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 04:34 PM) What? This.
  20. Just wondering...Kerry Wood. How does a closer with a 4.97 ERA have even as many as 15 Saves? It's boggling my mind.
