  1. When I was 16 Nolan Ryan was a rookie with the Mets.
  2. I'll be home for Christmas you can count on me. Please have snow and mistletoe and presents on the tree!
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 09:47 AM) I feel old with this poll! You feel old?! I'm f***ing ancient.
  4. How about divorced with kids? I marked single but I'm divorced with kids (and most of them are older than most of you).
  5. I love AJ but I don't want him back. I think he oughta hang 'em up. Now, I might be interested to see him get a shot at announcing (tv or radio).
  6. It's all in the past as far as I'm concerned. Are they "cheating" now? I don't think so. Anyway, I've been a White Sox fan forever and will remain that.
  7. I'd love to go to a Bulls playoff game. Haven't been to one since 1975 when they beat the Kansas City-Omaha Kings! More realistically, I want to go to more minor league games/ballparks. They're affordable and I love the quaint atmosphere. Also, I need to get back to spring training; had an absolute blast seeing the whole 2012 spring training. Very top of my list though is a White Sox playoff or World Series game. After spending my entire life in the Chicago area I had to pick the summer of 2005 to move to Utah. Just my kind of luck.
  8. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 11:01 PM) So much better then Danish and Trey IMO! I can't take all this excitement in one night!! Hell yeah!
  9. "Runaround Sue" by Dion. I don't know about any more but Nancy Faust used to play it a lot and the whole crowd would sing. Those were the days.
  10. Bobby Keys (70) saxophonist for The Rolling Stones has died. Besides his work with the Stones he has appeared on records by Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, lots of great classic rock stuff.
  11. Scott Carroll is a guy you can't help but like and root for. Wish he could somehow still stay in the organization. Best of luck to him regardless.
  12. R.I.P. Motown singer Jimmy Ruffin
  13. 4th is pretty impressive for a rookie and on a sh*t team.
  14. I even managed to get banned over there and I mean c'mon, I'm the nicest guy in the world.
  15. Nice article. I hadn't known anything about him. Gotta love his attitude and determination! Easy guy to root for.
  16. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 03:41 PM) Regardless of people's religious views, it bothers the hell out of me that people continue to want their faith (whatever faith that may be) to have a say in the political process. Your personal beliefs have zero place being put upon other people via the government. Go tell it on the mountain all you want, go vote with your faith and conscience on issues, tell your friends, associate with or create groups or organizations to your heart's content. But the minute you expect that your religious beliefs should effect other people's lives via law, you have lost track of the beauty of the Constitution. Whew. Well said.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 25, 2014 -> 01:59 PM) https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/5152287...5546752/photo/1 No Paulie Well, it'll be all the more dramatic if he pinch hits.
  18. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Sep 25, 2014 -> 11:50 AM) I am sure if you guys have seen this video, but if not, watch it. I am not ashamed to admit it brought a tear(s) to my eye. I am gonna miss you like hell, PK. I know the run is over, but I am 24 years old, so I have been watching PK for most of my life. I don't know what a SOX team without the Captain will be like. I know the time has come, but damn was it a good ride. PK Goodbye Video Yeah watching that made it really sink in. Thanks for the memories Paulie, a whole lot of 'em!
  19. QUOTE (BaconOnAStick @ Sep 13, 2014 -> 08:58 PM) I'm still uneasy about giving up on Tank. I waver back and forth on that one. GREAT double-header win. Man, the Twins are bad!
  20. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 13, 2014 -> 07:13 PM) Crushed to RCF. I think he goes on a power roll for the next few games. I remember thinking much earlier in the season that he might easily hit 50. He sure has been a pleasure to watch.
  21. QUOTE (BaconOnAStick @ Sep 13, 2014 -> 03:43 PM) 6 straight jesus. Just looked it up, Joe Cowley holds the team record, 7 @ Texas 5/28/1986.
