  1. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 6, 2014 -> 07:39 PM) Is there a max voting limit online? Feel like I have voted well over 30 times so far I probably voted 50 times too. I can never remember when they do this but I don't think there is a limit. I'm tired, too much sun today. I'll vote more tomorrow.
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 5, 2014 -> 09:01 AM) My sources tell me that Derrick Rose may or may not want Melo on the team. My sources tell me that may or may not be true.
  3. Don't suppose a whole lot of people would recognize the name Louis Zamperini. I didn't. I just happened to have stumbled across this link. He was a true American hero. Visit My Website He died July 3rd at 97.
  4. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 3, 2014 -> 09:02 PM) Micker 2-2 with 2B and RBI That's really good to see. And I see that Ravelo has a 20 game hitting streak. Cool!
  5. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 2, 2014 -> 09:10 PM) My first game thread win in 3 years! Leury!! Robin!! Danks!! Alexei!! Putnam!! scs787!!
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 2, 2014 -> 08:58 PM) I can see this ending badly. Maybe you don't see so good.
  7. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 2, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) Let's get the walk off. Tomorrow is Putnam's birthday, lets get him the win!!
  8. I used to like Wade and used to want Wade. Not so anymore in either case.
  9. 1419 miles. If it were at least 1350 miles less, I'd be there.
  10. Being ancient like I am, I fondly remember double-headers a-plenty back in the 60's and 70's. Seemingly Sundays almost always were double-headers and then there were the twi-night double-headers. Man, I went to many a double-header, including the bat-day twin-bill in '73 that drew a still record 55,555. I was also at a Monday double-header in 1970 that drew, are you ready for this(?), 672. If I recall correctly the Sox had three double-headers that week. Probably a record.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 29, 2014 -> 01:59 PM) Does anyone know any Bucks fans? What is their local reaction, I think I'd be terrified. Wait a minute. There's Bucks fans?
  12. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 29, 2014 -> 08:08 AM) Soxtalk has the worst sarcasm detector of any forum I've ever been on. Are you being sarcastic?
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 06:48 PM) Got the best scorer and don't have to waste a second draft pick. Dig it. Yessiree!!!
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 11:59 AM) It's going to be interesting to see what Anderson and Hawkins can do in AA next year. It sure is. At first this season I had a real hard time imagining Hawkins in AA next year. Lately that's much easier to imagine.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 12:23 PM) If you ever read a gamethread, this is at least a 125 win team if managed correctly. More like an undefeated team. I went with the last choice on the poll though I do think that a re-evaluation should happen at the end of the year too. That should almost always happen.
  16. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 22, 2014 -> 11:17 AM) Out this away it's the anniversary of Custer's defeat at the hands of the hostiles. Let's make it Baltimore's at the hands of the Sox I prefer to think of Custer's forces as the hostiles. Abreu
  17. Kanny up 12-2 in the 8th. Michalczewski having himself a game 4-5 and a BB.
