  1. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jul 11, 2014 -> 11:28 AM) Jeff Mangurten ‏@JeffGurt 37s Before we figure out what it all means, lets take a moment to think of Pat Riley and Dwyane Wade...and laugh. Haha. Not sure which one I hate more. Since I used to like Wade, I guess Riley. Ah well, back to hating the Cavs again.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 07:07 PM) Not at all a parent here, but my anxiety for it centers around when they turn into little people. A baby? It might be trying, but it deserves your love and attention. Then they turn into those brats I see at the grocery store and I don't know if I can take the aggravation.... If you do your job well those brats at the grocery store are still other people's kids, not yours.
  3. Just noticed this thread. Congrats Caulfield and of course Mrs Caulfield-to be!
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 05:25 PM) Really?? You never know what Beckham will do there. Maybe he walks, or gets a hit.. Either way, You don't take the bat out of the hands of Abreu who gets a lot of XBH. I disagree with you 110% You don't know what Beckham will do there. Maybe he homers. Maybe he hits into a double play. But we do know he was 0-4 with 3 Ks. While I hate taking the bat out of Abreu's hands we don't know what he will do there either (though I like his chances). You never know what Tank and Alexei will do either. If one of them gets a hit, we're not discussing this. The sacrifice paid off for the Red Sox. Bottom line, I think Robin shouldn't be crucified because Viciedo and Alexei didn't come through.
  5. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 05:18 PM) Glad we decided not to let Abreu hit there. Thanks Robin You want to have the potential winning run at 2nd with 1 out. Nothing wrong with that. Didn't work out. Yeah, that's Robin's fault.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 03:14 PM) Not really happy with Melo's nutrtion today, we might have to move on to a different option. Yes, that was in fact stated to him by my sources to which he replied, "Don't worry fellas, I don't eat here every day".
  7. My sources say Phil Jackson and Jeanie shared lunch today. Phil had sea urchin spaghetti, Jeanie had cold smoked salmon. Meanwhile, Carmelo and Lala also dined out. They went to McDonalds with their young son Kiyan. Carmelo had 2 BBQ Ranch Burgers, a large order of fries and a strawberry shake. Lala had a side salad and a Sprite. Little Kiyan had a McNugget Happy Meal. It is unknown what his toy surprise was but rumor has it that he wasn't happy with it. In Vegas, Lebron had lunch today by himself at the Carnival World Buffet. He indulged in pizza, several helpings of barbecue ribs and topped it off with a plate full of seafood enchiladas.
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 09:25 AM) Sale is getting killed on Twitter. One more reason to hate Twitter.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 09:15 AM) Who is SAS? Scandinavian Airlines.
  10. I'm stoked! Following his minor league career (and I hope it will be a brief one) will be fun. Go Rodon! Go White Sox!
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 08:33 AM) Look at Reed's stats greg. He f***ing blows. That Reed trade was a stroke of f***ing genius. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a stroke of f***ing genius, but it was a good move. Funny how after almost any loss this thread comes to the forefront.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 01:15 PM) Now they have photos of moving trucks at his house. Jesus this s*** is creepy. You're not kidding it's creepy. Good god, this is all ridiculous!
  13. Can't help but wonder if the timing of AJ getting DFA'd while the White Sox are in town might mean he's indeed coming back to the White Sox.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 11:58 AM) It's all cliche. Blame the hitting coach who was a former weak hitting Sox player. I didn't even know who our current hitting coach was until I read his name in this thread. Weak hitting Sox player? 24 HRs and .294 in 1984; 38 doubles, 24 HRs, 92 RBI in 1985....this is weak hitting?
  15. My county. I'm working on it. i'm battling lots of Angels fans. We have 2 Angels minor league affiliates around here. County: Utah, UT Garrett Richards: 66.8% Chris Sale: 19.3% Corey Kluber: 6.3% Dallas Keuchel: 3.8% Rick Porcello: 3.7%
  16. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 09:04 PM) Hi8tis where are you ? People are talking about poop .I'm voting Sale and Morneau because nice to see him doing well after concussion. Same here. Morneau's a nice feel-good story.
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) Flowers is leading the league in passed balls... I'm sure there have been some all-star catchers and some good defensive catchers who have lead the league in passed balls. That doesn't mean much at all.
  18. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 07:07 PM) When he is not the best option we have. He sucks at hitting, but he can handle a pitching staff. Meanwhile, Phegley sucks at hitting (at least at the majors), can't play defense and does not handle a pitching staff well by all accounts. Nieto is just not that good right now. He obviously wouldn't be in the Majors but for being a Rule 5 Draft Pick. Smith needs to continue to hit at AA and then repeat at AAA. Flowers is still the Sox system's tallest midget. It's pretty well known that Hahn does not like any of his options. And it is the position where he is trying to upgrade the most. He wanted Castro from Houston. And I guarantee he is looking all over. But good catchers don't grow on trees. Sums it up pretty well. As horrendous a hitter as he is he's a pretty darn good catcher. For awhile, we're stuck with him.
  19. QUOTE (venom4789 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 01:43 PM) While i am sure there are there moments it seems this board doesnt have the random trolls that continually pop up over there, or posters who continue to say the same thing over and over. Welcome. And welcome again. By the way, welcome.
