  1. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 02:32 PM) Honestly, Tex could have just cut to the chase with the Superfecta of SoxTalk polls: What movie do you want to watch with your favorite SoxTalk poster while enjoying your favorite meat collection this summer??? So let's make it What movie do you want to watch naked with your favorite SoxTalk poster while enjoying your favorite meat collection this summer???
  2. I can hardly contain my excitement about this news.
  3. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 11:26 AM) I am just wondering how many of those did he techinically not steal from me. Uh-oh. That'd lower him to .400. And in the early going it's Movies and Meat....neck and neck.
  4. Tough call. But, I'd say he's batting .800.
  5. This is pretty darn cool...very creative on Mark's part. Now if his teammates would only reward the fans with some top notch playing (and for crissakes,,,some HITTING!!).
  6. Congrats to Mark. What he has done is truly amazing and couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
  7. QUOTE (quickman @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 03:54 PM) Too bad he couldn't get sent to san diego where his cute little bond frolics can flow in the breeze. I am sooo gonna miss those cute little bond frolics! Damn.
  8. Oh sure. And watch him go to Great Falls now that I won't be able to see the Voyagers again this year. But really, signing Thompson is GREAT news!
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 02:03 PM) Now the question is does this qualify as White Flag II? I should say so!
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 22, 2009 -> 02:08 PM) My wife watches all of the E! crap and inevitably I watch it too. One good thing about not being married any more.
  11. I predict the White Sox trade Brian Anderson to the Red Sox for Mark Kotsay. Mark my word.
  12. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 01:38 PM) This is a great day for Soxtalk. A much-needed enema. That's it in a nutshell.
  13. From the AAP for BA: Rated the best Prospect in the Sox Farm System by Baseball America in 2005. Good luck Brian. Red Sox?...patooie!!
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 01:14 PM) I'll always remember him for 3 things: His celebration of Pods' walk-off in Game 2 of the WS. His dominance of Felix Hernandez in Seattle. His catch in 163. Jeez. Same here. I could probably add one more though: generally sucking.
  15. A little blurb on minorleaguebaseball.com: Sprinting out of the gate What: Bristol at Pulsaki When: July 27 The White Sox's 19th round pick in this year's Draft, Brady Shoemaker (.417, 4, 21), has hit safely in the first 27 games of his professional career. He will try to continue that streak as the Bristol Sox play the final game against the Pulsaki Mariners on Monday. Shoemaker, a left fielder, was selected out of Indiana State University. Brady just keeps rolling along; BA .417; OBP .479; OPS 1.129.
  16. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 09:32 AM) I did, I was chuckling at the one who posted that he/she was disgusted by the article and would now stop subscribing to the Washington POST as a result. She said the POST, twice. The article is in the TIMES. In Washington the dumb keep getting dumber??
  17. Dick Heller, you're a complete moron. Although I thought the Bartman incident was hilarious I've always been of the school of thought that the guy got a raw deal. When a ball is hit toward the stands and it's coming at you most people are going to try and catch it. Even Bartman was surrounded by other reaching hands. He just happened to be the one who caught it. In this case, this guy doesn't have much of a chance to catch it and I think he did wisely retract a bit. Dick Heller is an idiot.
  18. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jul 26, 2009 -> 08:46 PM) Clayton Richard Glad that game was on ESPN. Haven't gotten to see a full one in about a month. I didn't even watch or follow the game too closely simply because I figured if I didn't pay attention they might win (for a change). Way to go, Clayton!!!
  19. Crap! These Tigers are nothin' but crappy pieces of crappy crap! What in the crappy crap is going on?? What the hell is this crap all about? Detroit is a serious piece of crap. #*@ing piece of %^$# %$ *^*$ crap %^@ crappy *&* crapped *#@& *%*$ %&@*$ *%&^#* crap! Enough already!!!!!
  20. That Great Falls game must have been nutty. Both teams putting up 5 run 10th innings. Don't see that everyday. Nice comeback for the Voyagers.
  21. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 10:09 AM) that unfortunately will be the game i have to watch out here in virginia...bunch of B.S. Likewise in Utah
  22. As dreadful a day as the Sox had it's refreshing to see some good performances in the minors today. Thank goodness.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 07:22 PM) Oh boy, Clete Thomas up. He seems to bat .500 whenever I see him. Don't watch!
  24. To sum it all up. That was "perfectly" miserable. LET'S GET GAME 2!!!
