QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 09:48 AM) This is a good move. I'm Down with this.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 09:05 AM) Everyone in Chicago over the age of 40 knows this guy. Guy was the morning and afternoon DJ for a while on WLS. I remember one afternoon I was driving somewhere and he played a new song "Star Baby" by the Guess Who. He liked it so much he just kept playing it over and over and nothing else for the remainder of my drive.

Chicago radio legend Larry Lujack died yesterday. Superjock was 73.

Honest to god, this Bulls team will probably set a team season record for the most quarters under 20 pts.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 12:37 AM) I like this story a lot. Me too. Being ultra-sensitive as I am, I got pretty choked up reading that.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 08:30 PM) Don't stop now boys! I'm telling you, it's early but Jabari is a real possibility.

Hahn gettin' it done. A lot of new faces on the south side this coming season and we may not be done yet. I'll tell you what. I'm really getting excited about going to spring training!! Hope to do about a week down there. -
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Nov 6, 2013 -> 12:03 PM) Harry ragging on Baines in the Yankees game is good stuff. 20 minutes of Twins at Sox, Sept. 1976 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ad4m4MWSVV0 3,026 in attendance. Bostock goes for the cycle, Larry Monroe pitching for the Sox. Video quality surprisingly good. So sad seeing Bostock. Two years later he was dead. Christ.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 11:56 AM) Ok we need McCown back. I SO want to just be done with Jay Cutler. As in, HE GAWN!

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 01:13 PM) What awful shows are you forced to watch because of your significant other or children? Mine is Project Runway. I've been watching it so long with my wife that I actually enjoy it now. Back in the day my wife liked to watch The Love Boat and Fantasy Island. Gag!! When my daughter was young I watched a lot of Punky Brewster. Can I be forgiven if I admitted that sometimes I enjoyed it? My youngest daughter loved the Disney Channel. OMFG what crappy shows they had! Now I'm divorced and my kids are grown and I can watch whatever the f*** I want to watch.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 09:15 PM) I wouldn't care at all if not for the quality/depth of this upcoming draft. Who the hell knows when another draft like this will come along. This is very true. Like I said, I want them to lose. But, this is a proud organization and they're still trying to win. I don't mind that so much. They shouldn't have won tonight. Dunleavy's shot was so f***ing lucky, just one of those things. They're going to lose plenty of games yet.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 04:00 PM) [/b] I just can't watch them this year. It is awful and depressing. It is like watching the Charlie Brown Valentine Special. LOL! It was depressing at first but just like with the White Sox, I'm watching even though it's not pretty. I hope the end result is a loss, but if it isn't I'm not gonna get pissed off about it. Que Sera, Sera.

I know most of you are gonna go "WHO?!" but Dick Dodd former Mouseketeer and drummer/singer for The Standells died. The Standells recorded a garage classic "Dirty Water" which they play after Red Sox wins at Fenway. Curiously the Standells were from southern Cal and when the record was recorded had never even ever been to Boston. Standells

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 07:47 PM) Kirk is 2 for his last 27. That'll get the job done. Tank away!!!
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 07:22 PM) I haven't had a chance to watch the last few games, are we fun bad yet? I would say.................yes. All it takes for a good chuckle is watching either Teague or Kirk driving to the hoop.

Wow, talk about a bad quarter.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 03:59 PM) There is also talk that he's a young Lenny Dykstra, yet you seem to be avoiding those. The fact is we don't know what we have in him yet. Opinions are mixed all across the board. I'm happy they've made this sort of move to at least attempt to improve the team. Also, Brandon Jacobs hit .237/.291/.327/.618 in 176 plate appearances with the Barons, striking out 50 times in 176 PAs. For his minor league career, he's at .262/.335/.434/.769 with a 25.4% K-rate. Calling him a meaningful prospect is like calling Ryan Meaux a meaningful prospect. Totally agree. Not at all enamored with Jacobs, as I assume the Sox weren't either. -

QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:42 AM) So hang onto your butts guys....Kenny said something is in the works and apparently its going to excite the fans I'm still trying to contain my excitement about the Felipe Paulino acquisition. -
QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 12:11 PM) Raise your hand if you've had enough of rumor talk. Now let's see if the Sox actually do something, in say, the next 56 hours. Hand raised.
