A Philly-Mets fight for Contreras?
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to beck72's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Count does look like he's about 50, but he sure does not throw like it. Props to the Satchell Page reference. -
garland a fluke or not?
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to MarkBuehrle_TheAce's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 11:23 PM) I hope this was supposed to be funny, because I found it hilarious. Glad somebody caught it. -
Javy Lopez has lost his marbles
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to SSH2005's topic in The Diamond Club
It is in this type of scenario that it is unfortunate that a team just can't cut a player loose and terminate his contract like teams can do in the NFL. -
Devil Rays to get new nickname for 2007
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to SSH2005's topic in The Diamond Club
I wish I saved the link, but I read somewhere that they were actually considering calling themselves the Tampa Bay Tarpons . That is so much better than being mocked as the Tampon Bay Tampons. -
Lemieux Retiring Again
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to The Critic's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Between this guy and Sugar Ray Leonard, they have almost had as many comebacks as Freddy Krueger and Jason. -
garland a fluke or not?
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to MarkBuehrle_TheAce's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think it will be tough for Garland to win 18 games again. I think 16, 17, or even 19 wins is much more feasible. -
Frank Thomas signs with Oakland Athletics
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to OfficerKarkovice's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Teams I would like to see Frank hit 500 against: 1. Cubs (probably won't happen) 2. Yankee$ 3. Red Saux 4. Injuns 5. Twinkies 6. Barry Bonds (I guess he plays on a team) -

It's too bad the A's don't play the Cubs. I would love to see Frank slam 4 homers in a game against them. -
81 Points For Kobe
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to Tadahito Iguchi's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(G&T @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 09:54 AM) Jordan also played against much better talent than Kobe does now, IMO. That was back in the days when teams besides Detroit played defense. Maybe that's why Detroit is the most dominant team in the league. -

Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to Balta1701's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
With the double+ teaming on Smith, I think this is where the Panthers really miss Mushim Muhammed. Though I guess the Bears really needed somebody to take David Terrell's spot. -

Provided that the Seahawks do not punt the ball to Smith again (new strategy punt toward the sidelines/away from Smith) we could have 2 games today that were pretty much decided by halftime. -

QUOTE(soxhawks @ Jan 22, 2006 -> 08:18 PM) that block in the back call was a very suspicious call, when was the last time you saw a block in the back flag picked up, two weeks in a row, two very suspicious calls I was thinking the same thing. -

Seattle seems to have an actual strategy for stopping the Panthers/Smith. Anybody else catch Buck's comment that the Bears were "arrogant" in their single coverage of Smith? -

The Steelers pretty much had the game won at half time. Now it is just a question what the final score will be. -
How close were the Sox from moving to Tampa?
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to zenryan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) I remember watching that, might have been ABC 7. You might be right. -
Kendra Davis vs. Michael Axelrod
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to kevin57's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
One has to watch Bulls games all year. The other is made to watch Knicks games all year. I think both are being punished enough. -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) The deadline had actually passed to get a stadium done... A miracle tear in the time space continuim made sure that it stayed 11:59 for about an extra half hour to get a deal done that saved the Chicago White Sox. If it had "turned" to midnite the Sox were gone. On one of the public broadcasting stations, they just did a thing about the flaw in the "space and time continuim" that allowed the Cell to be built. I think they did it during the World Series. -
Benson for Julio and Maine
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to Frank the Tank 35's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) ^^^ What Jackie Hayes said. I dont think there is anything wrong with having guns, but this lady is bragging and promoting them like everyone needs one, and that isnt the case. Sure, she throws "Gun Education" in there, but then she talks about leaving guns around the house in strategic, unlocked, and easily accessible places(because (her father's) valid argument is that if the guns are locked up, it will be too difficult to access them when needed... like when some deranged 200 pound man is busting through my front door). Give me a break. She should shut the f*** up before she convinces other people to do the same thing, and someone gets hurt. That being said, this could probably turn into a decent discussion on The Filibuster. I wonder if her husband has ever told her to do this. If Kris has not, he really should consider doing it. -

IMO, Anna Benson is not really much to look at. Particularly when we have Mrs. Pods to look at. -
White Sox invite 19 players to Spring Training
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to Pierzynski 12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think Redding might have a shot at a bullpen spot. It is just a gut feeling. Or maybe the s***s are coming back... KW usually finds one diamond in the rough every year (Loiza, Pablo, Etc). Redding at worst could replace Jon Adkins. -
Weird things on rotoworld.
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to sayitaintso's topic in The Diamond Club
And here I thought Rotoworld would finally publish the rumor that Ron Santo, in order to pad his stats for the HOF, would be playing 3B for the Cubs on opening day. -
A class act that Jim Thome is. Still, that does not excuse ending a sentence in a preposition. B)

QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 08:59 AM) And it will be a clusterf***. I would suggest your terminology is too modest or polite, but I will agree 100%. -

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will be taking LSD to the game.
