Mike Sweeney
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 05:59 PM) Hopefully we pretty much give him nothing to hit tomorrow. Personally, I would like to see one thrown right at his ear. And yes Mr. Sweeney, its personal.

Sox v. Kansas City, 4/7/06, Garland v. Affeldt
MAJOR CHANGE : OZUNA does not play LF again. We have too many utility IF's and not enough Outfielders
-
Sox v. Kansas City, 4/7/06, Garland v. Affeldt
I hope Ozuna never sees the OUtfield again after this game.

Can we call the game on account of public embarassment?

Sox Sign Jose Contreras to 3 Year Deal
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) Out of the group now, the only one I would like to see moved is Freddy G. He has a lot of value, big game pitcher. Kind of pitches to his competition. When he faces a great team he pitches great, when he faces the KC Royals he gets lit up. If somebody had to go, I too would pick Freddy for exactly the reason you stated. He also does not pitch well at the Cell. That being said, I still don't think he gets traded.

Sox Sign Jose Contreras to 3 Year Deal
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) Organization has too much going on for them right now to let that happen. He better be a lifer.... Agreed 100% MB is just as much the heart/face of this team as PK. Perhaps more so.

How Many 2006 Starts For McCarthy?
Unless somebody is hurt, I can only see a few. He may also see some starts if we are involved in some doubleheaders.

Sox Sign Jose Contreras to 3 Year Deal
I love how the press release on Whitesox.com lists Count as being 34 years of age. Link

Sox Sign Jose Contreras to 3 Year Deal
One thing that has not been considered is that Count is not the only tradable pitcher at this point if McCarthy is to be in the rotation at some point. If the Sox have their sights set on a trade, Freddy or Javy might be more attractive. Just a thought, not a suggestion.

Welcome to Walter E. Smithe Field!
Just because of their commercials, I would never patronize Walter E. Smithe. Those brothers smile at each other too much in those commercials.

Ozuna, Mackowiak can fill void
It seems everytime I pay attention, Ozuna has some problems in LF. Last night he did, I remember that game in Boston last year. I don't have the games, but I know he had issues in LF in other spring games. Not that Pods is a gold glover by trade, but outfield is Pods natural position. Ozuna is an infielder. Ozuna in LF makes me nervous, though not as nervous as Jose Valentin in the OF
