Hooray for another Ass Whipping!!! It's almost time to fall over ourselves to make excuses for the sad and pathetic Class A ball offense. -

It sucks that a three run lead is impossible. -
Perhaps Uribe should hit 2,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 for us in the same game. That should smart this anorexic offense.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 13, 2007 -> 02:34 PM) Game. Worst series win I've ever experienced. The Yankees are going to outscore us 30-2 this week. Who will hit the 2 solo homers for us? -

That was straight out of the D"angelo Jimenez/Carlos Lee school of baserunning. -

QUOTE(fathom @ May 13, 2007 -> 02:22 PM) First, he'll ask for more. Second, I want nothing to do with him. His overall skills have diminished a ton. It looks like he needs a cut-off man on his double play throws. He will ask for more, and somebody might just be dumb enough to pay him while we bring back Tony Graffanino at a bargain basement rate. -

I don't think Iguchi is worth the $5mil he will ask for after the season. -

Even though he walked, did Crede still somehow find a way to pop out? We must lead the league in bases loaded walks this year. -

QUOTE(BMac Attack @ May 13, 2007 -> 02:09 PM) Oh boy, Juanny looking a bit sluggish chugging around second there... This the hot streak Juan has only seen in his dreams. He is not prepared to run the bases this much. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 13, 2007 -> 02:09 PM) Crede pops up Were you really expecting anything better? -

QUOTE(premo @ May 13, 2007 -> 02:07 PM) It's pretty sad that Uribe, Erstad, and Sweeney are probably the best hitters on the team right now. Allowing the pitchers to hit next weekend may improve the offense. Too bad the Cubs are throwing 2 lefties at us. -

QUOTE(kwolf68 @ May 13, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) We're fine folks...just ride it out. Javy has navigated through the first 4...now we will blowup. If by "blow up", you mean break up the no-hitter, I think you are probably right. We can scratch out one hit today. -

Good to see the Royals sre pitching a no-hitter against the mighty White Sox bats. -

QUOTE(fathom @ May 13, 2007 -> 01:51 PM) Who were we going to have play? Erstad is worse than NL pitchers against LHP. AJP is the only guy who really should be in there, but we'd rather let Molina embarrass himself at the plate more. I would like to take this opportunity to call Molina out. With all of the slamming he has taken on message board, he shoul deither get a hit today or physically kick the pitcher's ass to get him out of the game. I see no other options. -

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 13, 2007 -> 01:47 PM) Lefties hit De La Rosa better than righties, yet our brilliant lineup is righty dominant. Maybe looking at splits might be something the whitesox front office might want to take a look at. Sometimes stats dont lie. Ozzie only uses the stats printed on the back of baseball cards. Anything else is too much to ask. -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 13, 2007 -> 01:43 PM) What the f*** goes on in the White Sox front office? My theory is that they shoot pool, drink beer, and watch porn. It is a lot like a college dorm except nobody EVER learns. -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 13, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) What's masking the issue is optimism. "Oh, Crede's turned the corner last year." "Paulie won't party like it's 2003." "Dye isn't living in quicksand." People need to face reality. Holy s***, man, this offense is terrible and there are no more excuses. No more weather. No "tired," definitely. ... But Uribe will carry this team. -

[quote name='caulfield12' date='May 13, 2007 -> 01:36 PM' post='1420089' Good news for our pathetic offense. Toby Hall just went deep. In a few weeks, the top of the order that gives us the best chance to win could be Erstad/Ozuna Uribe Hall How sad. -

High powered offense today. Anything less than 7 runs would be a failure. -

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 11, 2007 -> 09:39 PM) We blew everyone out April-June of 2006, and we didn't learn how to win close games. This approach (our ERA now is around 3.70, only about 1/10th behind our pace in 2005) is much better than relying on offense, because if we can play .500 with this schedule (we've played better on the road than home too, another good sign) and without Thome and Pods and Hall, we can't help but be a much better team from June on. We played a ton of 1-2 run games in 05 and ended up on the winning side more often than not. I would never disagree with you on any of this, but again it is easier on the nerves when not every game comes down to the last out. I don't recall a true blow out win this year. -

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 11, 2007 -> 09:36 PM) So you want the outfield to be Erstad, Sweeney and Terrero/Mack/Ozuna? No thanks. We might as well get rid of Konerko and Crede with this theory...he'll come around, and he's had some huge homers early this season, despite his low average. Well maybe I was a bit rash, but Uribe should be hitting higher in the order than Dye right now. -

Dye really needs to have tomorrow off. In fact, a few days off would't hurt. In fact, he might look good in a Tampa Bay uniform or even an Expos uniform when Thome comes back. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 11, 2007 -> 09:34 PM) It doesnt matter, when we win games like that people are just gonna b**** about Corpseball being all or nothing. Winning close games are more important than blowing people out, although blowouts are more fun to watch By blow outs are much easier on the nerves, then always having the game come down to the last out. -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 11, 2007 -> 09:25 PM) Dye could not be screwing over this team any more than he currently has. And in about every conceivable way. His outfield speed is embarrassing, and his lack of offense is costing everyone from the team down to the money he'll receive next season. It almost looks like he caught some disease and forgot how to play baseball. He reminds me of Harold Baines in his last half year before he retired. He truly looks like a corpse out there. -

I don't think we can score again if this goes to extras. I'm glad we took advantage of all our opportunities. This is why I hate playing the f***ing Royals. Freak s*** like this always happens. -
