  1. I will also be in Pittsburgh. I hope we score more than three runs in that series.
  2. Phase 1: Just start releasing the following Vets that are not hitting: Citron & Mackowiak. Not like anybody will want them. Pahse 2: Fire Sale on Offense. Everybody is available for the right price. Iguchi, Dye, and a healthy Pods are priced to sell. Since the pitching is not a problem I hold on to them, even Buehrle. Triple A hitter can at least match the current offensive Anoxeria Ball. Blast Away!
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 2, 2007 -> 05:30 PM) Funny, he seemed to do wonders in 05 with Uribe. But then again, Walk thought so much of it. He decided that Hrniak was wrong after 05, and broke Uribe's swing down. How did that work out. Exactly my thinking. And if you could teach Juan Uribe to be a more patient hitter, you could teach Helen Keller to see too. I think Hriniak was a very significant influence on a future hall of famer named Frank Thomas too.
  4. I wonder what it would take to get Walt Hriniak back? He may have even been able to teach Brian Anderson to hit major league pitching.
  5. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ May 2, 2007 -> 05:12 PM) Last time i heard it was like 25-30% I would saw that is too high, but then again, we never score any runs.
  6. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 2, 2007 -> 05:09 PM) The Sox haven't scored a run that wasn't on a HR in 37 innings. That is sad. I would be interested to see what % of runs this year have been scored without a homerun.
  7. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 2, 2007 -> 05:03 PM) The Yankees fired their strength and conditioning coach today. Can he hit?
  8. All of this puking leads me to believe that Anorexia Ball is an even more appropriate slogan for the 2007 campaign.
  9. I will still hope, maybe even pray, that Eduardo Perez will be in a Sox uniform on Tuesday.
  10. QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 05:47 PM) does this mean Sweeney is going to stay up no matter what now? unless of a trade of course. It would be nice to see Sweeney do well and just keep LF even after Pods comes back.
  11. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 04:38 PM) Team Mascot? I almost piss my pants on that one. For the sake of all you young people, that is a picture on Karen Carpenter. Today, you call her Nicole Richie.
  12. Remove the question mark from the thread title, here is the official press release. Adios Brian Anderson
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 04:24 PM) Here's the big issue: if Anderson has no future with this organization, then we're really going to regret it when we going into full rebuilding mode after this year. Uh-oh, Fathom. You use the R-word. Now people here are really going to flip out on you.
  14. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 04:14 PM) Who is the back-up CF? Sweeney? Terrero? Rob Mackowiak
  15. Anorexia Ball 2007 - The Offensive offense.
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) Do you think Hawk realizes he's a stooge? If he does not, he must be delusional.
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:24 PM) How deep into the season must we get before there is actually a real chance that Walker is fired? We could be 30-132 and Walker would not be fired. I am so confident that Walker will not be fired that I will change by name to Penis if he is fired during the season.
  18. In the unlikely event that we tie this game, it has the potential to go 30 innings.
  19. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) Looks like your staying sober. I was pretty confident of that. I was willing to wager that I would drink my own urine or gasoline.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:13 PM) Don't worry, our AAA pitching staff is now loaded for years to come. I am glad you brought that up, because We are loaded with Triple A aces like Gavin Floyd. But we better not trade any of them, because they are all going to be gold just like Brandon McCarthy.
