Just a small town girl Living in a lonely world She took the midnight train going anywhere Just a city boy Born and raised in South Detroit He took the midnight train going anywhere A singer in a smoky room A smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on CHORUS: Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people, living just to find emotion Hiding somewhere in the night Working hard to get my fill Everybody wants a thrill Paying anything to roll the dice Just one more time Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on CHORUS Don't stop believing Hold on to that feeling Streetlight people -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:05 PM) Have no fear, we got Cintron/Uribe/Sweeney up next inning. The Sobriety Drinking Game 1 shot every time one of those 3 gets a hit. -

Unfortunately, since he is Ozzie's buddy, Greg Walker will not be fired. -

Just for the record, Greg Walker should be unemployed. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 02:56 PM) Might have been Kevin Hickey. I heard he's been dominating our hitters during BP. -

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 02:53 PM) Did DJ just call him Mike Sweeney 2 times?? Maybe DJ knows something. I bet Sweeney would be a good DH for a few weeks for us before he makes his annual trip to the DL. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 02:52 PM) Tigers win on a walkoff by Inge. Every Sunday home game seems to be a walkoff. I remember what it was like to win ... *sighs -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 02:46 PM) Prediction time: how many games out of the AL Central lead will we be after this long road trip? More than 5, depending on how much longer Detroit, Cleveland, and Minnesota continue to spin their wheels. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 02:16 PM) He's not getting on top of anything. Even when he hits it good, it's just a warning track fly ball. The only time he's hit line drives is on his 2 strike protect swing. In other words, he's swinging like the Crede of old/before the 2005 playoffs. He just looks clueless and some sucker is probably going to give him 10+ mil a year during his free agent year. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 02:10 PM) Crede with an out in the air for the 500th time this season. Thankfully we didn't give him a new contract. With everybody else being so bad, it is easy to forget how bad Crede has been. I think this is proof that he could never be a 3,4, or 5 hitter/the big hitter on any team. -

Since Erstad is our best hitter right now (gasp), why not bat him third and put one of the lesser evils in the lead off spot, like Iguchi, Uribe (he's like our third best hitter right now), or Pablo. I am not particularly fond of the idea, but something needs to be done to shake things up. -

I'm amazed that Buehrle (not to be confused with Buerhle) gives us 2 runs, and everybody is pissed at him. Holding the opposing team to two runs per game should put us in a position to win most days. -

Good to see Sweeney in the line up. It would be even better for him to grab an outfield spot for the rest of the year by the balls and not let go. Wouldn't it be nice to make a good player sit rather than having to chose between the lesser of two evils? In a related note, will Cintron get that second hit of the year today? -

At this point, the offense puts the team in the position of the one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest. Without Thome, we are the no-legged man. -

In defense of Citron and his .056 avg, at least he is not Brian Anderson as the DH. -

We never score in the first, though I am not sure that is because Pods is gone, and we have trouble scoring afterwards because we are trying to play homerun derby. This is not fun to watch. -

A better throw by Uribe gets the dp, though I don't blame Uribe .... it was tough play.
