  1. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 13, 2008 -> 08:30 AM) Liriano returns today. Didn't look too good, which is good news for the AL.
  2. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Apr 13, 2008 -> 02:22 PM) I liked the sign Joe Crede Yes In Dee De. Fixed. Also, just realized the Sox have the best record in the AL after 2 weeks.
  3. Another great win. Javy pitched a jell of a game. Could've easily went 9. Paulie and Crede both with slams.
  4. BALLGAME!!! Back to back shutouts = nice. 20 consecutive scoreless innings - nice work pitching staff. 18-0 last 2 games.
  5. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 13, 2008 -> 01:53 PM) gotta love players who are in their contract year. or who are completely healed after surgery.
  6. QUOTE (DonnyDevito @ Apr 13, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) Well Cabrera has been playing hurt for weeks. He has a pulled groin. He should be on the DL but the Tigers can't afford that so they play him hurt every day. He ran into the ump on a routine pop up to 3rd base and went down softly but gingerly because he already has a messed up groin but the Tigers just keep putting him in the line up every single day. The Tigers can't afford to have him on the DL? He is batting .158 and would be the worst batter on the team if not for Polanco.
  7. QUOTE (Maverick0984 @ Apr 13, 2008 -> 01:42 PM) Simple pop up to 3rd base who ran into the 3rd base umpire. Ball fell 2 feet from the bag for a hit? Not sure how they scored it, but noone touched it, has to be I guess. Thome can use all the hits he can get right now.
  8. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Apr 13, 2008 -> 01:40 PM) Rogers, who was trying to catch that, ended up like 5 feet away. talk about misjudging a pop up Cabrera was even farther. He was running away from the ball.
  9. Javy looking really solid. 15 consecutive scoreless innings by Sox pitching.
  10. The 5th and 6th innings seem to be the ones where Javy struggles. Hopefully he can just fly thru these.
  11. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:29 PM) did anyone catch gavin's post-game interview "the last two years I felt like I was pitching in someone else's body" interesting. Darren Daulton says hello. http://www.darrendaulton.com/
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 01:32 PM) How many times have managers given him the chance? Ozzie had the quick hook on him last year, and the hook on him in Philly was even faster. And he's something of a strikeout/fly ball pitcher, so he does go deep in counts. But anyway...GO GAVIN GO! Hahahaha. Urge to go to positive thread and brag... It also means he is improving, which is great to see.
  13. No hitter thru 7.1 IP? First Sox shutout this year. Nice.
  14. QUOTE (DonnyDevito @ Apr 11, 2008 -> 08:37 PM) i wonder how hawk would fill up all of that time if the network told him to quit b**ching about the umps....what would he talk about?Yaz.
  15. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 11, 2008 -> 08:34 PM) There are 5 guys in the line-up right now that are hitting under .207. On both teams.
  16. Why even swing at 2-0 when the only thing Grilli is hitting is Quentin?
  17. QUOTE (sf_soxfan @ Apr 11, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Orlando is due for a good hit Thome is due.
  18. The 2 Lefty thing is kinda odd though. I thought they wanted to separate the Lefties. Hopefully it works out.
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 06:22 PM) It was worth the wait.
