  1. Was watching the "Malice at the Palace" game between the Pacers and Pistons but turned off the tv during the 4th quarter... needless to say sportscenter the next morning was a bit shocking
  2. i'm sure none of you remember this, but sometime last summer i came here saying i was starting a band and we were gonna try out some rhcp stuff. well, i figured i'd give an update, and do some shameless advertising of some videos we put up... last weekend we played a show outside a hotel here in downtown columbus. we got lucky because our bassist's dad is in a local cover band, and they said they'd let us open for them. We ended up playing three songs, starting with "purple stain" by rhcp, then we played an original called "ain't my scene", then we closed with "give it away". it was a lot of fun and we think it went well, so here's the videos... (i'm the singer, be gentle... haha) "Ain't my Scene": "Give it Away": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4BeiJhkd5Y Thanks for any input!
  3. Does anyone have a good picture of the stadium last night? My dad didn't get to see the game, and I wanted to show him how awesome it looked!
  4. All I can say is "WOW!". That's the movie of the year right there for me. I just can't say enough about how The Joker could leave you deeply disturbed while making you laugh at everything he says.... The other actors certainly didn't disappoint either!
  5. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 05:48 PM) What happened to your avatar?!?!?! I have no idea, one day it just became a red x, and I didn't have the picture saved on my computer for some reason... I wish I had that avatar still, it was amazing
  6. Joined the site around the time the first fantastic four movie came out, and i based it off "the human torch", but incorporated everyone's favorite bust, joe borchard.
  7. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 11:58 PM) I hope you have a kick-ass bass player. yeah, kinda hard to live up to Flea, huh? right now we're working on Under the Bridge, and it's going pretty well. We're gonna try to tackle harder stuff like Aeroplane later...
  8. I've been listening to so much Chili Peppers lately, and Blood Sugar Sex Magik has quickly become my favorite album of all time (over The Chronic, haha). A couple of friends and I are starting up a band and I can't think of anyone better right now than RHCP to draw inspiration from.
  9. so how far was that second HR last night? I don't think anyone had hit the facade of fundamentals before that...
  10. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 21, 2008 -> 09:45 PM) bye bye Byrdie for those of us watching on STO, anyone see what looked to be pine tar on byrd's finger?
  11. would it be possible for anyone to locate a video or audio clip of DJ's famed "uh oh" homerun call? thanks.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 9, 2008 -> 09:22 AM) At this point you'll pretty much say you like anything [sCRUBS] won't you? Kelso back? Way to supply us the episodes out of order. That episode was completely f***ing terrible, and there were only a couple of parts that were remotely funny. I've enjoyed the theme episodes before... sitcom, musical, etc, but this one was terribly indefensible. I wholeheartedly agree, that could very well have been the worst episode in the entire series...
  13. Any clue as to how far that thing flew?
  14. all i know is that jack parkman would probably go for about 50 HR every year if he played in the cell...
  15. I don't have a link or anything, but I've heard some rumors about a Rambo video game...does anybody know if there is any truth to these?
  16. Saw "Rambo" tonight, and I thought it was great. It took enough time to develop a storyline at the beginning (matters to some, not too much to me, it's a Rambo movie), the dove into the action. After that first kill, I was on the edge of my seat the rest of the way. Also, great ending.
  17. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Sep 24, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) It hit the concourse, which is amazing. The only thing I've seen even close to that was Terrero's homer (in person!) this year into LF which came this/close to landing in the beer stand under the kids' deck. I've never seen a ball hit that far in the current Sox park; not by Frank, not by Thome, nobody. I went to a game wher Frank hit one 495 feet, onto the left field concourse. I think Terrero's hr was estimated at 455 or something like that
  18. i seem to remember big frank hitting a homer off of the top of the foul pole at yankee stadium that day...
  19. Has anyone seen this show on Mojo, the channel on Time Warner's HD package? Dave Hill's obnoxious/cocky attitude makes this a fun "stupid" show to watch. The King of Miami
  20. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 04:19 PM) They should put it in left center where he hit a 495 foot bomb off of Johan. I was there for that! Any chance anybody would have a video of that, cuz i never got to see the highlight afterwards...Anyways, congrats to the Big Hurt, he's a sure-fire first-ballot hall-of-famer in my eyes!

    Rambo

This movie's gonna be sweet, cuz lets face it, how could a rambo movie not be sweet? When I first saw the trailer with the horror movie-level violence, I was a bit surprised.
  22. clever, but here's a better one: White Sox Bullpen- We suck!
  23. QUOTE(Brian @ May 27, 2007 -> 11:39 PM) John Rambo Teaser I would embed it but it has some pretty violent clips. This movie is gonna kick ass! Rambo is the best action character ever created, bar none.
  24. That was an excellent read, really makes me want to see some footage of this!
