  1. This is pathetic. Seems Jon of 2004 is back. The same worthless wimp who blamed his failures on the fans and everybody but himself. Atleast our offense seems to be somewhat alive today, so we have a chance to overcome this.
  2. I guess Garlands just gonna hide behind the excuse that the Rangers are cheating. Remember, good pitching beats good hitting. Any pitching can beat bad hitting, and apparently thats all we have done. These guys look awful against good lineups. Other teams have conquered this Texas lineup. Its tough but it can be done, so we can do it too!
  3. BLUM!!!!!!!!!!! Do not give extra outs to this team! Why is it that when we play the most dangerous lineup in baseball that the fielders decide to throw out all these free outs?
  4. Can anyone shut this team down? Christ! Texas is good, but as their record indicates, they are not that good, due to lousy pitching. We should beat these guys.
  5. Im looking at a career in law enforcement, and CLJ is my major, so its the better one in my opinion. And considering that I have a s***load of reading for Thursday in the arch class, and nothing yet in CLJ, its much better at the moment.
  6. Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, Bob Seger, Bob Marley, Third World (reggae), Aerosmith, Van Halen, Pink Floyd and other classic groups. Sublime is pretty good out of the moderns. I used to like Journey and then I saw them do the Wrigley 7th inning stretch decked out in Cubs gear, so that kind of changed.
  7. Ok, story time! I dont know what Dybzinski did (too young) and I cant find the story, so now I need to know. As for Buckner, it was ridiculous to hate him. Buckner was a solid player who made a huge mistake in game six of the WS. For instance, last night Tad had a horrible game. If that was game 7 of the WS, he would have been blamed and hated for years to come. Would it have been fair? No. And its the same way with Buckner. Dybzinski however was a lousy player who apparently made a bigtime blunder, so thats more understandable.
  8. I feel sorry for the Rangers if they are. Cheating and theyre six games under? Thats nearly as pitiful as the $200 million Yankees barely leading the wildcard. Also, with as lousy as their pitching has been, maybe theyre signaling opposing hitters as well.
  9. I just got out of my first ever college course. Criminal justice. The teacher was pretty chill it seemed. I have another one, not nearly as interesting looking (Israeli history through archaeology), at one oclock.
  10. Hey, I opened up this thread and that was one of the first things I saw. I was obligated to stand up for Bob and his gang.
  11. Ive been in ever since I can remember, why would I jump ship now? I will still root for this team no matter what they do, and at this point in time, I believe they will win this division. I dont know how far they will go in the playoffs, but Im not thinking about that yet. Always taking it one thing at a time. GO SOX!!!!!
  12. I miss the point. Why 10-31? Because those are the kind of homerun-rbi numbers he usually put up? Thats my guess.
  13. Wait a sec. Was that Paniagua in that game where we beat the Twins 8-6? The game where we were up 8-2 and killed the rally just in time? If so, I hate him too. We lost ten of the next fifteen and our season went down the drain. f*** Paniagua.
  14. We need wins. So I guess he accomplished part of the mission, but with McCarthy pitching tomorrow, we really needed both parts. MB didnt come through. Why dont we take this one game at a time? Are you really gonna be ok with it if the next three pitchers go seven innings, give up six runs and all get losses? I mean, they save the pen. Mission number one, win the game. Mission number two, keep the team in good shape for upcoming games. If we keep failing mission number one, mission number two will become obsolete. I thought that was obvious.
  15. No, but when Everett came up he was the tying run so I though we had a chance. The April team would have done it. This team just doesnt have it in them. Now the question is, is the October team the April team or the August team? If its the latter, were f***ed.
  16. All that does is save the pen. He did that tonight, didnt he? And did it help us in anyway except our pen isnt worn down? No.
  17. I hate these f***in letdown rallies. Either do it or dont. But dont be a tease, and lead me on, and then fail in the end. That just gets my hopes up.
  18. Any sane man would. Buehrle is well above average, but Santana is excellent. And consistent, something MB is not.
  19. Well, personally, Im worried that this is the team that will show up in the playoffs. And if it does, were screwed. We havent been the best team in the AL since the break. I think it might be complacency, but it might not. If its complacency, they better snap out of it and get ready for playoff time. If this team loses this division lead, they will be remember as even bigger chokers than the 1964 Phils, 1978 Red Sox and 2003 Cubs. I sure dont want that.
  20. Im not worried about making the playoffs. Im worried about what well do in the playoffs. If the April/May/June team shows up, we could very well win it all. If the July/August team shows up, were out in the first round. And the teams weve played in August are the ones we will play in October.
  21. That doesnt mean they cant be blamed. If a fielder makes an error, and the pitcher goes on to give up ten unearned runs, its not all the fielders fault. Good pitchers pitch around errors.
  22. Good pitchers can get by errors. Mark doesnt seem to have that ability. Dont get me wrong, with certain exceptions, I think MB is a great pitcher. He simply cant deal with errors.
