QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 4, 2008 -> 03:51 PM) WHO ARE YOU CALLING A COOTIE QUEEN, LINT LICKER? I love that commercial, one of my favorites.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 4, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) Why does this never happen to me? I'd probably turn it down, ala Dumb and Dumber, just oblivious to the fact that they wanted me to drink. "We need some beer drinkers. You guys know of any?" "Do I?! You know it! (pause) They'll be right down the hallway in room 302." "WAIT! They're actually down the other way in room 307." "Man, a couple of guys get to drink free keg beer all night. When are we gonna catch our break like that Harry?" It was awesome. Afterwards (at 6 after we finished off the keg and took pictures doing the Stanley Cup), I went to a friends BBQ at his new house. It had railroad tracks behind it, and a treehouse overlooking it, so a couple of us climbed up and sat in the treehouse with a V8 filled of keg beer and finished it off while yelling at passing trains. It was honestly the best Saturday I've had in awhile, although I hurt my toe somehow. Sandals + tree climbing + drunk = bad.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 4, 2008 -> 12:27 AM) Damn, Felix. You get s***faced almost as much as me. Almost. This weekend was special. One of our friends downstairs had 2 kegs (one was only a third full) they needed to get rid of by 6 PM on Saturday. We did a lot of work on Thursday night, finished off the already tapped one and made a dent in the other. Then yesterday at about 3:30, they came up to our apartment, pounded on the door and said they needed beer drinkers. They still had half a keg left and the two were due back at 6. Needless to say, we did our part and finished it off. Best part: it was all free

I don't watch hockey (and never have) so my list had no hockey players. I'm sure I forgot a bunch of other guys from the Sox, Cubs, Bears, and Bulls, but we'll see.

It's a fantastic movie, I strongly suggest it to anyone that hasn't seen it.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 08:52 AM) Saw two movies for the first time last nite, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and The Darjeeling Limited. I liked F&L, but I really liked Darjeeling, and I'm not all in all sure why. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is quite possibly my favorite movie (although I have to say, Trainspotting is quite close). The book is also excellent, better than the movie (which is more of a testament to how good the book is, since the movie is a great adaptation).

QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 12:16 PM) I realize GTA4 will only be available for ps3 and xbox. Not necessarily. Unless I'm wrong (which is possible I suppose, but I haven't seen anything), they haven't confirmed or denied a PC version yet. I suspect one will be out, and thats what I'll be waiting for since the GTA games have always been much, much better for PC than for any consoles.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 09:00 PM) When is the last time Broadway made a start? I see no reason to have Masset start ahead of him. You mean, other than the fact that Masset is already in the majors, and that for Broadway to start, he'd have to be called up and someone else would have to be sent down.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 02:15 AM) It seems a few people stopped reading after the first 2 paragraphs. I'm glad I did originally because it made me avoid the "IE is better" comment, which is clearly just completely off base.

It doesn't work on Firefox. I like the concept behind it though, if thats any consolation. (ignore this post, I just noticed your original post already had this included )

1. Blazing Saddles 2. Animal House 3. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles 4. Monty Python & the Holy Grail 5. Airplane I second the "What About Bob?" and "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" honorable mention, as well as "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"
-
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is funnier than a bunch of the movies that ended up on the list Good stuff knight, it was fun seeing the end result, regardless of whether or not I agree with the choices

QUOTE (The Beast @ Apr 25, 2008 -> 01:57 PM) Amen! Edit: There is one security guard in the park that I absolutely cannot stand. I'd love to point him out because I'm sure many of you would agree with me on him. He works all over, usually in the bullpen, sometimes along the foul line (left field) and sometimes he is in the dugout. He's an absolute jack ass. When we were grabbing home run balls one day, my friend and I (about 13 years old) had our hands on a ball and it barely slipped off our hands before it fell into the Sox bullpen. He gets the ball and gives it to a kid even though it was pretty much our ball, it hit off of our hands. I actually do believe I dropped it, Kyle picked it up and it bounced into the pen after that. When we asked him what that was all about, he said, "it's all about the kids, go away." I yelled "ass clown" and ran away. But still, there's other cases where we were getting autographs and one day at the Sox/Cubs game, I went to get an autograph from Ozzie---the guy is like, "No, the game is starting," and I ignored him and yelled, "Ozzie, Ozzie!" And Ozzie waved off the security guard, signed my ball and I left, giving the security guard a "f*** you" look. Yes, I can't stand Sox security but not for busting underaged drinking. If you wanted the ball, you shouldn't have dropped it. After the drop, its fair game to whoever gets it.

QUOTE (AddisonStSox @ Apr 25, 2008 -> 12:01 PM) Royce has major character concerns and has been dropping like a stone according to most ratings. It's a nice pick-up for the Gophers, especially consider he's the state's top prospect; but, I doubt he gets his act together. Yeah, I can understand why you say that (and it makes sense), but I wouldn't count the kid out just yet. Here is a pretty good interview with him, he seems to realize he made some mistakes and that he needs to get his act together or else he could be throwing his basketball career out the window. Also, I think Tubby could be a really good influence in his life, he already appears to be a mentor of sorts for him (there's a quote here of him talking about how he already talks to Tubby and gets advice and such). I realize I'm being optimistic about him, and there's just as good of a chance that he'll end up having serious character issues, but I think its a risk worth taking given his talent level. And yeah, it's huge that they got him since he's the states top prospect. I'm tired of having Minnesota players go to Bo Ryan and other Big 10 schools, it gets annoying. -
QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 09:16 PM) Caddyshack is not that funny. I watched it last summer, and was hoping to laugh my ass off. I laughed one time the whole movie, during the scene when it looks like Bill Murray getting off on the old lady, but it turns out he was washing balls. If you don't think Caddyshack is funny, something is seriously wrong with your sense of humor. Also, Blazing Saddles is a fantastic choice, hilariously great movie. It was on 7 lists, and 4 of which it was listed #1. That's a really telling fact (although it definitely should have been on all 23 )

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 01:03 PM) I have it on good authority that Krys Faber signed with DePaul today. He's a late blooming but very talented center from Los Angeles. Congrats to the Demons fans, he's a great get for the spring signing period and had interest from a ton of big time schools. He's an idiot. Gophers got a commitment from Royce White for the 2009 class. White is Minnesota's top prospect, and ranked the 32nd overall prospect, regardless of position, and the 9th best small forward prospect. This is huge news for the Gophers, and a definite step in the right direction.
