  5. Nice play action there! 7-0 quick
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 27, 2005 -> 12:16 PM) As bad a schedule as ND played this year, Oregon played an even worse one (their best win was against Fresno, who finished 3rd in the WAC....and they were LUCKY to win that game), and ND brings A TON of money to any bowl it goes to, so the BCS taking them makes a lot of sense. With that said, Notre Dame has a great offense and a miserable defense....so they need to hope for the right matchup in their BCS game or they will have issues. Thats the only reason ND will be in a BCS bowl.
  7. Last I heard, the Red Sox were interested in trading for Adrian Gonzalez.
  8. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 27, 2005 -> 10:31 AM) Team #2 9-2 Lost to USC and a non-bowl team Beat Stanford by 7 You forgot the fact that team #2 only beat 3 teams with winning records, two of those teams being BYU and Navy.
  9. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 27, 2005 -> 03:43 AM) I'd still take Williams over Benson. An underused WR on Det vs an underused RB on Chi. It's still pretty even. The Bears could really use a second option to Muhammad right now. Benson asked not to be played when he held out in the beginning of the year. If you want to play in the NFL, don't hold out.

    Carl Everett

    QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Nov 26, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) This topic is a joke. Thats what I thought at first too, but I think the guy who suggested it is serious.
  11. QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 26, 2005 -> 11:34 PM) Why you little... I just wish Michigan fired Carr last year and hired Weis I guess.
  12. QUOTE($I Need Money$ @ Nov 26, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) what will we do if this is true? f***! Look at our 2005 world series rings and not care? Seriously, a.) this won't happen, and b.) it wouldn't make a difference, and the Cubs would still miss the playoffs.
  13. ----> You're in Good Hands with Soxtalk. ...its true
  14. QUOTE(rangercal @ Nov 19, 2005 -> 02:38 PM) Yankee fans> Sawx fans > Cub fans Completely reversed for me :/ Cubs > Red Sox > Yankees
  15. QUOTE(Yoda @ Nov 26, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) Buehrle(27), Contreras(34), Garland(26), Garcia(29), McCarthy(22) Should have an asterix since he's probably ~40
  16. Although I doubt it will happen, and I've posted that it won't, I really would love to see Aaron back with the Pale Hose in '07. I realize that it likely won't happen, especially with our slew of outfield prospects who should be close to ready by then, but this is his home, and he shouldn't be anywhere else.

    QUOTE($I Need Money$ @ Nov 26, 2005 -> 10:06 PM) you guys really hate carl don't you? Did you see Everett in the field at all last year? This team is based on pitching AND DEFENSE, and Everett would be a horrible centerfielder at this point in his career. Even suggesting him to fill in at center would be a horrible idea. No matter what the offensive downgrade, we should never have Everett in centerfield. I dont care if we are putting someone who hits .200 with crap power numbers, we don't give up that much defense for someone who isn't that great offensively in the first place. I seriously find it hard to believe that you, or anyone, would suggest putting Everett in the outfield, let alone centerfield, to begin with.
  18. QUOTE($I Need Money$ @ Nov 25, 2005 -> 06:25 PM) Frank thomas will be back with the White Sox And where would he play? He's not being our 1B, and I should hope Thome isnt either with his recent injuries, and we shouldn't, and he won't, just sit on the bench. If he's going to play next year, its somewhere where he thinks he can get a shot at 500 HR's, not to just sit on the bench.
  19. Way too expensive. And no.
  20. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 25, 2005 -> 11:25 AM) I don't understand why people think that either Dye or Konerko (if we re-sign him) should or will be our #3 hitter. You guys realize that a healthy Thome will instantly be our best hitter, right? Thome has actually hit well in the 3-hole in his career. Konerko has barely done it and has been brutal there when he has. The lineup would look more like this. Podsednik Iguchi Thome Konerko Dye Pierzynski Crede Anderson Uribe Afterall, are you not going to put the guy with a .970 career OPS in the 3-hole? Exactly. I'm quite confused seeing everyone put Dye in the #3 hole. You put your best hitter there, and if healthy, thats where Thome should be.
