QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 07:22 PM) 10x Better to be exact. . . I've done the math, don't ask to see my work. No disagreement. I like our current jerseys, but the throwbacks are just awesome.

Im sure this was posted a while ago (like long ago)

QUOTE (The Baconator @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 11:59 PM) I add Ken Griffey, Jr. on that list. Given the number of injuries he's had in his career, I wouldn't be surprised if Junior used something to heal faster. -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 03:43 AM) Throwbacks seem to be very popular this year, especially with the Jazz and Cavs. Timberwolves have also been wearing their throwbacks fairly consistently, which is good because the throwbacks are better than our current jerseys.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 08:37 AM) Took me a couple minutes to remember Me too. I think I blocked him from my memory, but remembered him before time ran out

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 10:15 PM) Oh man, great one there. Love Ian McShane and that character. The Sheriff in Deadwood, Seth Bullock, also would qualify I suppose. I don't care for Timothy Olyphant nearly as much as McShane. I'm currently rewatching Deadwood. It's easy to forget how great McShane is in it, but his character really makes the show. I don't mind Olyphant much, but it's clear that his character doesn't even compare to Swearengen. Also, it amazes me how underrated Deadwood is. Such a fantastic series.

Al Swearengen from Deadwood (also one of the all-time best characters from any show)

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 07:20 PM) Unf***in real where he ranks in the Big 10 in PTS/REB/AST. Dude is incredible. Any NBA team that lands him will be incredibly lucky. Timberwolves please. -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 11:39 AM) I have no idea what this sentence means. Calling it a sentence is pretty generous

If anyone's interested, Them Crooked Vultures are on SNL tonight

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) I need to play those games still. Only played 3 so far. I strongly suggest both of them. It's been awhile since I've played either, but I've been feeling the urge to play them again lately. Easily some of the best games I ever played in my childhood.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 10:15 PM) I never have a problem with fans storming the floor. Let them have fun. Who cares. Sorry, but Indiana rushing the court against Minnesota when we were unranked is ridiculous. Show some class for yourself and your school. Beating an unranked team shouldn't be that big of an achievement. -
Wolves beat Memphis tonight at home for their fourth straight win. We suck, sure, but at least we're being competitive and playing a fun style of ball. I really can't complain about this season, as it's basically what I expected.

We needed a buzzer beater to win a game at Penn State today, the same Penn State that has yet to win a game in conference play. A win's a win, sure, but god damn this season has been frustrating. -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 12:40 AM) So, is anyone else amped for Fallout: New Vegas after seeing the trailer? I've been pumped and waiting for any new Fallout ever since playing 1 & 2. Easily two of the best games ever made.
-
Wolves beat the Mavericks in Dallas tonight, 117-108. Johnny Flynn had a pretty solid game, as did the rest of our starters and Kevin Love. I think this was the first time the Wolves have won in Dallas in five years (or something ridiculous), so that's pretty cool.

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 04:05 PM) Anyone that thinks QB is not the most important position in sports is wrong. Tell that to Bill Walsh.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 4, 2010 -> 10:45 PM) This has to be the most depressing thread ever. Besides the stupid Jayhawks, nobody's team seems to be doing well this season. Fact. Expectations were high for this years team, but we've completely dropped the ball. It's been annoying, to say the least. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 4, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) Is Ed Hightower capable of making a call without walking on the court to make sure he is gets his face time on national TV? Is this even a question? -
Is it really called expanding your sound when you go to bland, boring pop?
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 10:34 AM) The hero of the movie was Sandra Bullock's character rather than Oher and that bugged me as well. If Michael Oher had been the hero, then all the white Christians that were watching it wouldn't come away feeling good about themselves, which looked like the movie's ultimate goal.
-
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 10:15 AM) It's amazing how much they downplayed the fathers role in Michael Oher's life. Sean Tuohy was a nonfactor in the movie. It's reasons like that why I didn't even bother seeing it. That's just awful.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 10:00 AM) Already it's obviously a much more "Big name film inclusive" list than that from last year. I really hope Avatar doesn't win. Agreed on Avatar, but I'd also hate it if the Blind Side won. The book was awesome, but the movie looked like pure preachy trash.

QUOTE (Tex @ Feb 1, 2010 -> 04:30 PM) It is a good sign for baseball's smaller markets. I also think it is bad for baseball in one way. One of the best talents is in one of the smallest TV markets. Minneapolis is not one of the league's smallest TV markets. This misconception is ridiculous and is based on the Twins owners pinching pennies. With a new ballpark and plenty of new revenue coming in from it, they have no excuse not to spend money on the team now.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 31, 2010 -> 10:53 PM) Disagreed, but I'm pretty pessimistic. We've played like ass this year and will likely end the season without a signature win, save for beating Butler on a neutral court. Without Al Nolen, White or Mbakwe, we don't have much depth and frankly, don't have much talent. We haven't shown the ability to do anything on the road this year, and at this point, we have to be considered on the outside looking in. And gee, Royce White claims to be withdrawing from Minnesota this week. A great season just keeps getting better.
