LOL at telling the President to "get out of the way". He's the one pushing FOR this. The reason it isn't getting done is the people to his left screaming about cuts, and the people to his right screaming they refuse to do anything different on revenue. I've blamed Obama for an awful lot of bad policy so far, but on this, he's absolutely not the problem. I'd put the majority of blame on the fact that the GOP made a grand bargain to support tea party policies to the point of refusing any attempt and compromise, and then to a lesser but still significant extent, the lefties refusing to see that the government's spending is out of control.

The more I think about it, assuming Danks comes back healthy this week... put me on the Peavy-to-the-Bullpen bandwagon. He obviously is still struggling a bit with recovering strength and conditioning, but he needs to pitch to build that back up. The Sox have 6 starters and need anther strong reliever. Let Peavy work the rest of the year from the pen, and go back to starting only if necessary. Then he has the offseason to more fully recover and condition, and be ready to start in 2012.

Of course they wanted press. And I fail to see why that is a bad thing either.

Sox have already signed their first 7 picks, 10 of their top 12, 20 of their top 24, and 30 of their top 38. That's really pretty damn good even for after the deadline, let alone a month before it.

it is so, so key to this team's season for Dunn to snap out of this horrific slump/season. PK/Dunn/TCQ would look so much better if Dunn was his usual self.

Only a few games, but Phegley holding his own in AAA so far. My AAP Remenowsky putting up unusual numbers for him. 1:1 K:BB ratio, striking out less than a guy an inning... but, hitters aren't hitting him either. I wonder if they have him working on something that is changing his approach, or if the hitters are that different, or what.
