Bluestone Bar and Grill in New Lenox...Same place I have been the whole time... Hell, I am not sure how much I will need to drink either, I am still buzzing from last night!

I was still at the bar until the very end. Unbelievable. Even moreso was my wife, in a half-asleep stupor getting crabby with me for staying out so late, refusing to believe that the game went that long. It took her hearing it on the radio this morning to call me and apologize because she didn't believe me!!! So now I still have no voice, hungover as hell, and ready to roll in a few hours to get started for tonight!!

Lets just get it done. One more to go....FREDDY is our guy.....

There are standards, according to an article I just read, if the temperature is less than 80 degrees and its clear out, then the roof has to be opened. They just haven't stuck to that all season. Now that its the playoffs, Uncle Bud's office gets to step in and make them stick to it. I am also sure that aerial footage also has something to do with it. Either way, its MLB's decision, let em whine. On another note, Roy Oswalt demonstrated his stupidity amidst the whining about this stuff in saying that "We had to play in their home field advantage, cold, windy, and rainy. They have been playing in that stuff all year, we haven't." Well, Roy, in case you didn't remember during your many trips to the mound across town, this summer was dry as a f***in' bone, hotter than the blazes of hell until after game 2 of the ALDS, and there really wasn't any wind to speak of. Those conditions were miserable this weekend, and aside from the noise, presented neither team with any distinct advantage. Nice try though. Keep crying. :finger

Someone called in the AM1000 the other night and suggested putting Harris in at 2nd instead. I say NOOOOO. While Willie might have been coming on after his recall, I still don't think he offers nearly as much as Iguchi in the greater scheme of things. I am not/have never been much of a Willie Harris fan.

I am not sure what kind of deadline there is. Like I said, I am just going to take care of it tomorrow just to get it done.

I wasn't about to buy a full-season just for the world series, as much as I would have liked to. But, I did get permission from my wife today to buy the double play package for next season!!! So, I will be dealing with that tomorrow!!! It was my reward for not paying some scalper an insane amount of money.

No, I say leave it like it is/has been. For starters, they have won a lot with the lineup the way it is, and even with his struggles there isn't much reason to change. Also, I don't want to have to take the bat out of Uribe's hand if we have to bunt Pod's over early on. Uribe has been so consistant batting where he is. Also, with all of those doubles he has been hitting, a pitcher behind him will be a good way to move him over with a bunt.

I love the Lidge one, that would be what I would go with...

Looking at that picture of the logo going on the field just made me say outloud to myself (and there is no one but me around), "Holy s***, WE ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!" Somehow, someway, looking at that just made it sink in....

As much as this sucks...and I agree it does... At least we even have the subject to talk about, and it sure as hell beats asking how Rowand's golf game is right now, or prospecting off-season moves.... Its an f'ed up, commercialized world...but s***.... WERE IN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!

Every number I tried was busy, and I NEVER even got to the secret code word! It timed out on me everytime. This sucks...

Win it for my dad, who taught me to enjoy the game and to love the Sox... Win it for my wife, so that I might finally get that last ounce of cubdom out of her... Win it for our friend Kevin, who was killed in a car accident nearly two years ago, this would have been his dream, and its becoming a reality... One of my wife's friends brought a boyfriend over in July, and of course, he was a Cub fan. So after a long heated conversation about who was the better team, he decided to inform me of how he (as a Cub fan) deals with the White Sox.... "They simply don't exist as far as I am concerned. Chicago only has one baseball team." I didn't like that guy, and I would really love to call his ass up and say, "Don't exist? How you like me now, b****!" Even my wife, the Cub fan, got over me doing the tomahawk chop on a regular basis in '03 and is rooting for the Sox.... This is history were seeing!!!

I don't think he will be going anywhere either... I think the method behind his madness was to simply draw the media attention away from the slide the Sox were on at the time and give them something else to talk about. I love the fact that he is so willing to throw himself under the bus for his players in an effort to make things better for them. Thats a real manager. Unlike the one on the northside who just shrugs his shoulders, chomps on his toothpick and says "I don't know, dude." to just about everything...

God am I going to miss that man next year.... I am SOOOO glad we got to have him around for this post-season. That call was just tear-jerking...

Agreed, there is no good reason that Dye should not be out there. Couple that with Carl being slow and old... Not that I don't like Jurassic Carl, but keep things the way they are and just let him rest when we are on the road.

My head is throbbing as well...Too many Miller Lites... 5 more days...this hangover is well worth it... I still can't believe it...
