I love the way it looks too. I think its very classy, as opposed to the other pictures. Those other rings look like some s*** Little John would wear in a video, with his matching chalice, yelling, "OHHHHKAAAAAYYYY." The onyx is simple but very effective and the diamonds look sweet. I think they did the right thing with the design.

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) They were taking cash at Lot F, problem was, it was full by 3:15/3:30 Thats not true. I got there at about 3:15/3:30, came in off of Stewart via Pershing and had no problem at all getting into lot F and paying my 18 bucks. The lot was barely 1/4 full when we got there too. I am not sure when that lot filled up, wasn't paying attention. Just have to get there early for games that are as big as this one was, it was worth it just for the atmosphere anyhow.

I have been mentally checked out from everything else and mentally in the parking lot with a beer in my hand for about 5 days now. I can't wait for tomorrow night, because its the night that we show the world once again how great this team is, both in talent and fans. To: Buehrle and the rest of the boys..... KICK CLEVELANDS ASS!!! (AND TAKE TIME TO KICK SIZEMORE IN THE NUTS!!!)

Shuttle buses from the western suburbs to the Cell
chisox72 replied to Al Lopez's Ghost's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Mar 25, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) IS that all the information they gave on the busses, any time or anything like that?? I just checked out their website, and this is all the info they have.... http://www.pacebus.com/sub/news_events/pre...p?ReleaseID=410 Sounds like it could be a pretty decent alternative to the headaches. Only drawback...you can't tailgate on a pace bus -
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) I will be there for Game 1 and 2. So will I. Can't wait to start testing alternative routes from New Lenox to see which will work the best. But either way, it will be great to be there for it all.

After having spent the last weekend in Tucson, I would not mind seeing that move. As much as I liked TEP, Tucson is not at all what I thought it would be (or maybe my expecations were too high ) Might be kind of cool to be closer to Phoenix in terms of tourist-type or drinking-type stuff to do when not at the ballpark. However, the green beer at O'malleys last Friday was still ice cold!

Fantastic read. I too hated him on Minnesota, but he could not be any better of a fit with this team. Between his handling of this pitching staff, how much he grates on the opposition, and how he has taken to the fans and the fans have taken to him, I also think this move was one of KW's best. I can't wait to be in Tucson in 2 days and bust out the new AJP jersey my wife got me with the WS patch!

Blakely following suit with Fields. This inning is becoming fun!

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 05:56 PM) I could care less about the record. Our pitching (the guys who will actually make the roster) looks good. I just want to see more hits by our starting position players. Agreed. I could care less if their record is less than impressive. Today they got themselves back into the game, and it was some of the prospects that did it. Thus far their play hasn't blown any doors off, but again, its the progression into the season that concerns me. Jenks and Jose were very good today, and thats the important part. Now the mainstays need to get their bats rolling and we'll be good to go.

Mine came in the mail as well. Very very stoked about it...the season is right around the corner! T-minus 11 days and counting until Arizona!

The 16th-22nd. Going to the Rangers game on the 17th, and the Scrubs game on the 18th. Then my wife is dragging me to see the Scrubs vs. D-backs on the 21st. (Being married to a Cub fan is hard work!)
-
Finally, got through too.... All three cub games (friday for me, sat/sun for the father-in-law), Monday vs. Oakland for the return of the hurt, Thursday Yank's game, Thursday Cards game.... Then my wife told me to stop, step away from the computer and put my credit card away

Sox sign 10-year sponsorship deal with Miller Beer
chisox72 replied to SSH2005's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(TLAK @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 08:52 PM) Do you know if MGD will make that huge schedule poster again, the one they print on plastic for outdoors. I cajoled one from a bar maid two years ago and had the BEST looking garage on the south side of Chicago. I'm sure my #$%^& cuB fan neighbor enjoyed it too. Yep, they will. They do the big schedule banners every year and they come out around spring training time. You will see them showing up in bars and liquor/grocery stores right around then. I can't wait to see what they will look like this year! My wife is a Cub fan and really HATES the Miller Lite White Sox neon we have hanging in the basement -
Sox sign 10-year sponsorship deal with Miller Beer
chisox72 replied to SSH2005's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 06:00 PM) So i don't consider myself one to be affected by advertising very much...but the one thing that has had an affect on me is Miller sponsoring the Sox and Hawks. I used to be a Coors Light drinker, but i decided to give Miller a try, because i felt it was only fair since they were a huge sponsor of the Sox and Hawks...maybe i should support them. Now i only drink Miller as my "cheap" beer as opposed to Coors or Bud, etc. Plus, i actually think it tastes better than Coors Light, which i used to think was delicious. Having worked for a Miller distrubutorship for 5 years, I have to say that I am thrilled about this. Its great to see all of the different beer/team related things that come out every year to get into the baseball season. Be it banners, signs or neons. Besides, Miller is the better beer . On a side note, do not be suprised if you start to see some MGD light handles pop up around the ballpark in different places. That beer has been a primary focus of the brewery in terms of growth over the past few years and has been met with some success. Also, after this year, Miller will NO longer be the sponsor of the Hawks or Bulls at the UC. Bud will be taking that over. Miller finally gave it up because there is no money in it like there used to be. Lets face it, its hard to justify spending millions of dollars on a sponsorship when the Hawks are lucky if they draw 5000 people. Its going to be a weird adjustment going to the UC and seeing that, but I understand the logic behind the move. In the end! Way to go Miller! I will be looking forward to many a nice frosty Miller Lite in my seats this season! -
Awesome letter. I especially enjoy the last line. I think he is going to be a perfect fit for this city and will quickly be loved here. Thanks Jim!!! Here's to a great 2006!!!

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 24, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) I got two framed pictures with all the newspaper clippings in them. My dad made them both out of a bunch of different papers and its totally sweet. I'll definately have these hanging somewhere ih my place for the rest of my life. My wife did the same thing. She had my old Maggs jersey framed as the background and had all of my playoff ticket stubs put in there as well. It turned out really sweet. Then to when we hang it, it will be flanked by 4 framed different front pages that I had saved. Its really sweet. I gotta say, for a *cough* Cub fan, she did a nice job. Were also going to spring training too, so that should be a blast!

I forgot how much I enjoyed the press conference after the game with the umps. Eddings and his two henchmen were hilarious. They would ask Doug a question and then the goons would jump in and answer for him. Ahhh...Memories!

Listening to McCarver's reaction to the AJ incident after it happened is even more hilarious now than it was then. He really is a HUGE blowhole! I still say it hit the dirt too!

Pierzynski Longing for a few more years With Sox
chisox72 replied to Rowand44's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I am glad to hear that from him as well. It proves, without a doubt, how much he feels at home here. I am sure we will be seeing AJ in a White Sox uniform for many years to come. -
Is tonight the night AJ is on TNA Wrestling?
chisox72 replied to JDsDirtySox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I think when A.J. retires from baseball, he has found his calling. That was hilarious...
